Hello everyone, so I joined freebitcoin about a week ago, I can afford to buy around 500-1000 lottery tickets. But when I see last round the first winner has just 120 tickets but other winners got 10000+ tickets, if I buy around 1000 tickets, will it be worth and is it like gambling? Will it be addictive? Guys please tell me that lottery is second form of gambling or not?

buying lottery is like a gambling and i think it will be addictive. if we buy lottery, we hope that number will be out as the choosen one, if the number is not out, then we hope again with other lottery number. my suggestion to you is better stay away for buying lottery from freebitcoin and play as usual.

Yes lottery is a gambling game in nature..  It is all chance and no skill at all.  So any game that is a result of chance and not predefine of skill in winning is considered as gambling.  It also have an insanely low chance of winning.  Think of 1 in a million chance of wininng.

Of course lottery is a form of gambling. In fact the chances in lottery is a bit more slim than other forms since the odds are bigger. As long as you place money to bet on something, you're already gambling Smiley

Bazinga!
it seems like in this board people are making the same topic over and over again, and only the name of the game is chaning.
all the topics are like this putting money in blank is or is not gambling.

and the answer to all of them are the same, it doesn't matter what you are putting your money in, as long as you are taking a risk against the odds and risk is involved you are gambling.

Obviously, yes, because you're risking some money in hopes for greater returns. It is gamble because you still choose to purchase some tickets with less chances of winning even though you know that there are others who also purchased tickets but in a higher volume (and more chances of winning, too.)

In my own opinion, anything that involves quite an amount of risk in relation to income is gambling the level or rate of chances differentiation faced rise to different name calling that we have aside that its gambling... In addition to your position I will say its gambling in the since that buying more tickets is just to increase your chances of winning and not to actually win nd that's one of the conditions of gambling... My 2 cents...

lottery is gambling and already with very low possibility to win  Grin

freebitcoin lottery have a really big number of partecipant, you can see the number of % win you have, and with 1000 ticket i remember is under 0,001%

Yeah most lotteries are a good way to lose your money. If you are smart you try to invest your money.
And no lotteries are not an investment...
They would not allow an investment because they are sure that will take the money of the betters and they don't want to share their income. I don't understand why some people are really trying their luck in lottery when the chances are very low to win. Better play it in fair game like dice with 50% chances of winning.

Lottery isn't exactly gambling.
Well of course the definition match, but it's gambling on a very low odd of a very high win.

The main difference is that you can hardly become addicted to lottery! Because you know from the beginning you got nearly 0 chances to win Smiley

But the question is "Putting money in lottery is gambling too?"

So that would be still yes,
even it is in a very low odd of a very high win, right?

Cause gambling from the definition is putting your money at stake in a chance of winning something more from it.
So lottery is still a form of gambling, and it does have a very low odd of winning.

But only a few people that able to win lottery reward so before you decide to bet on lottery, just prepare yourself that you will going to loss.
I'm wonder some people that able be rich from lottery is insane but that's happening
Actually lottery can be won almost every week with the +profit, if you have the tools, to bet on all the numbers possible, 2 Australians already did that, but they manage to bet on 60%, but anways they won.

Lottery is the most basic form of gambling.
It helps if the winning number/ticket is chosen in a provably fair way.

if you put the lottery on gambling sites, it is clearly considered gambling. but if you put the lottery outside gambling sites, it is not considered gambling. it is my opinion Smiley

People don't consider playing lottery tickets as gambling even there is no difference between them. It is in fact trying to hit high payout which we see in lottery as mega prize or jackpot but it is similar. In my opinion it is gambling but people don't see anything bad in playing lottery and call to see luck. I have heard of many people lottery is good to play as chance.

Of course buying this lottery tickets is already gambling, this tickets will increase your chances to win in the lottery but don't guarantee this for you, as you can lose too, just like gambling with bitcoins or fiat.

I do not know, but bet on the lottery I guess that includes gambling, because you risked your money in it to get a bigger gift, it might be almost the same as gambling, are risking money in it to get a lot of money, but I guess a lot of people who think that the lottery is not the said gambling
