Bounty
Now that Qora is open source I will start a bounty for Leased forging.
I will pledge 5 million qora. Anyone is allowed and welcome to donate too.
The more Qora we have pledged, the more developers will feel motivated. It'd be nice if we gather a lot of Qora for bounties. You're free to donate as much as you want, please consider this as an investing that will make your Qora more valuable.
The developer is free not to accept the Qora, and in such situation the community will decide if the funds will be reinvested in other bounties or given back to those who donated.

I recommend we have more bounties like this for different features and objectives. I've contacted Qora in order to provide an address for this bounty. Even though he's the most trustworthy person around, I recommend one person to hold no more than one address/bounty. If Qora does not accept to hold these funds the community will have to find someone else.

I recommend us to always donate Qora only, in order to motivate developers to actually use and hold Qora instead of other cryptocurrencies.

Open source is huge thing, but I think Qora need to do more things to attract attentions and collect community again.

It looks like the other non-Bitcoin clone mentioned in the above post is NFDv2!   Wink

Thanks for the mention! The funny thing is, I was sizing up Qora for the forthcoming "NFD Owner's Manual" because I was using an old NFD-to-Qora gateway as an example of how to do due diligence on an Asset. At the time I was writing it, Qora was stuck at 6. I actually liked what I saw. Had I departed (mentally) from the writer's desk and started to snap some Qora up, I would have gotten in at durn near the bottom a couple of days before it took off.

In a very real way, it's a good thing that we're speculators here. Sizing up a "competing" alt as a buying opportunity makes it easy to be collegial rather than "competitive." Had I stuck my neck out and bought some at Bter, I would have had a real profit instead of one of those locker-room stories. Wink And, real pecuniary reason to cheer Qora on as Qora-the-dev polishes up his instantation of AT.

So, in the spirit of co-operative greed Tongue , I say: Welcome back, Qora, and congratulations on reaching the open-source milestone!!

I assume this is someones shared, personal implementation of Curve25519.  Also, it's not uncommon to see some cryptographic functions built to localized binaries and linked into Java.  I'm going to go out in a limb and assume this was done for effeciency sake.

Oh, and after looking at the code for 5 minutes on an iPhone, it looks very well organized and should be easy to work with.

It's very "professional". 👍

Smiley. Good to know. I' m gonna study it too.

I never had doubts about qora.

libQora25519.linux.x64.so
libQora25519.linux.x86.so
libQora25519.mac.dylib
? Huh

I have to wait for someone else's approval before I can release those.

Thank you Qora.

Now all the world can see and inspect the code.

+1!  This is why (a long time ago) I stated that I didn't care if this is a fork or not.  I do, however, care if it's innovative (and continually innovating.)

A good forging algo and a framework that can be easily expended/improved is what I'm hoping to see. B-)
+1
It's the end result that counts, regardless whether this is a fork or not.
