How do I find what version I have? I can't see it in the UI or in the folder. There doesn't seem to be a readme.txt with the version or anything, or an About box.

As far as I know there is no direct version information at the moment. An easy way to determine if you have the newest version is the size of the qora.jar it should be (11,1 MB (11.690.928 Bytes)) and has the creation date "6. october"....if your size differs you don't have v.18.
Thanks.

Do I need to do anything special to run a public node? Which port should I open? Does Qora use hallmarks? How can I check that others can see my node?

So, no one at all can help me get my wallet on the correct fork?
viz. smaragda + you can make a copy of your data folder after closing synced wallet and use it next time for faster sync...extract qora, put in data folder, start run.bat and recover from seed

Seriously...This is a new thread we dont need these types of posts. If you have issues post about it but dont expect people to drop everything to work on your problem.

I have never had any issues with deleting the data folder then downloading again.

Try it a few times if it still did not work.

Any issues recover from seed.

These types? Really. These are the types of posts that should be here. People having problem using the coin and wallet are the types of messages I have no problem with. IF the moderator want's to delete posts of people asking for help with the coin and wallet then go for it.

No, I didn't expect everyone to DROP everything. But, it was quite a while.

That all said. I expect it is the nodes. So, I figured someone that had a wallet on the correct flork could take a minute or two to give me a good known node list.

Why Cryptsy does not add QORA ?

Because the communitu hasn't voted to get Qora on the site.  Go here and search for Qora.

I had this same issue yesterday and I was on the same fork.  My hunch is one of the exchanges wallets has created a fork and stalled.

To fix it, I deleted the full Qora folder and reloaded the entire app from the zip file.  Initially I deleted the data folder but that didn't work.  I don't know which peer is the bad one, but reloadinf everything from scratch fixed this for me.

Ok, re-dl'ed and it still seems i'm on a bad fork. Last block is 54564 from Dec 4th. And it doesn't match the block at that height on the block explorer.

Does someone have a good list of peers I can put into setting.json?

thanks.

And Qora's back. Wink I stopped following the old thread cause it was so full of FUD and petty bickering. So, I am very excited...

1. Qora is going Open Source
2. The AT work is still happening.
3. There is now a moderated thread. I suggest ANY price talk be deleted. It has worked very well in the Via thread and kept discussion on the coin and development rather than the markets.

I opened my client today and noticed I am on a fork. So, I am re-dling the block chain. v18 is current I assume.

I would leave it open to forge/mine, however, are there any chances I would ever generate a block? I have less than 50k Qora. Although, that might change now that we are going open source.

Also, is generation power based on address balance or wallet balance?

It's good to be back.
