I think you got it wrong . What he was trying to say is most of the gamblers are addicted to gambling spend money on gambling without realising that they have a family to look for. I have read stories that gamblers removed all their savings and put them in gambling and ended up losing everything and his family was starving.

i think they are difficult to be honest with the people because they have to show bad habit that they do to other people and it is only few person that have brave to do this. i think they need to listen an advice from person that closest with the gamblers maybe from best friend and i think they can understood that continue playing gambling is not give a good result to them.

When people start telling you that you are appearing addicted, that would be a good time to take a close look into the mirror.
It is indeed quite difficult to acknowledge to yourself that you are addcited, but if you don't shut others out that try to help you, you may be able to tell yourself that you are indeed addicted.
When it gets that far of course that person should quit because it will only get worse. Some people gamble with their rent money and then they end up losing it all.
Gambling is basically inspired partly by personal preference and telling the person to just quit will make them want to do it more just so they could win a whole bunch of money and say "I told you so" see? If people actually noticed that they are receiving help from the people that love them then they will open their eyes and realize that it isn't only money that they are wasting...it is time. Spending time with family and love ones helps relationships grow stronger.

So if you are not going to be cautious on your addiction in gambling that can go far to its utmost effect which can result to destruction of your family. Most of the gamblers that can't overcome this problem are leading into that situation.

And you need to quit it as fast as you can because if you are not going to do something and resolve it immediately, you will end up into broken relationship with them.

And this is also the possible reason why he is always in misunderstanding with his family. So I guess the family should be the one to step up here. Trying to convince him to see a specialist and be treated about his addiction.

I think you do not need to quit gambling cold feet. You can just quit small by small. Just lower your wagering amount, there are places you can gamble smaller amounts and all, definitely quit real gambling and only focus on bitcoin gambling. After a while you can come down to a level of gambling with only faucets which is not even your Money. Than it will be easier to quit gambling. You can’t go from wagering thousands of dollars a day to zero in one day. You can however go from couple cents to zero easily.
