Oh my, that must have been constant for you to consume a complete pack a day. Anyway, my concern is with the children. I am really hoping that you never smoked in front of them because that is a terrible thing to do. Every parent has to be careful of what they do in front of their children because they eventually copy it. If you used to do it and they’ve been watching, they’ll start mimicking you with a stick or something, and someday they’ll want to do the exact smoke you did. At least for them, you made a great decision of quitting.

quit smoking for many reasons
1. cost of cigarettes/vapes could be used for other things
2. your health improves
3. lower your ancillary costs such as dental, health costs
4. you save on other things like mints, mouth wash, even cough medicines
5. lowering house maintenance of cleaning walls, air fresheners, redecorating to remove tar, etc
6. lowers costs/health risk to other members of households, lowers risk of developing asthma or other secondary inhalation caused problems
7. life insurance house insurance costs reduce by being a non-smoker

The price of cigarettes has gone up so much in the last 15 years. The price has gone up by around 150%. This huge increase is due to inflation, increased taxes on tobacco products & efforts to discourage smoking. The cost of cigarettes has become much higher making it way more expensive for smokers to maintain their habit. Think how much money you can save per year if you used to smoke a 20 pack a day but now save or invest that money.

If quitting smoking has two benefits, this brought me to the thinking of this whether smocking even had any advantage or future benefits it served us, maybe if someone like us who is not experienced in medical line may not understand the meaning and how to give answer like those on the medical field who were taught on the dangers for smoking and how such could cut off his life so easily.

Smoking is dangerous to health, and except for the momentory pleasure of puffing smokes, there's really no health benefits to it, unlike alcohol that has some health benefits if consumed responsibly,  I've never heard where it's said that we should smoke responsibly, so it's not a healthy habit. I'm happy that the OP was able to quit smoking, definitely he'll have a better health now than when he was a smoker, not forgetting that he's able channel the cigarette money to Bitcoin investment, a smart move, I'm happy for him. I'm lucky in this regard that I never liked smoking, the few times that I tried it when I was younger, it always bored me to be dragging and puffing smoke.
I think smoking and alcohol are not good for health, whatever the reasons you give, alcohol has health benefits if consumed correctly, this is still wrong for some people. Both will damage your health and if you are addicted you will spend a lot of money every day to meet your needs. So the wise step is to stay away from cigarettes and alcohol and save the money and then invest it.

Because whether you realize it or not, the money you have to spend is actually quite fantastic to buy cigarettes or alcoholic drinks. By being able to stop smoking or consuming alcohol, you can save money for other needs such as saving and investing.

The awareness to stop at both varies from person to person. But I applaud the people who finally decide to quit, not just to get investment but to respect themselves more. Because if you are an adult and can choose, you can think, you are responsible for yourself. Everyone has the right to determine what is good and what is not for their life, but don't harm yourself with what we think is right.

In one month I can spend approximately $90 to buy cigarettes, and the price of the cigarettes I buy is around $2/pack for one pack a day and sometimes more than one pack.
And by quitting smoking, I was able to increase my regular monthly Bitcoin purchases from a portion of my monthly salary as well as $90 per month in cigarette money.

You spent an average $98 dollar a month, that's $1176 and lets say you have been into smoking for atleast 5 years, that means you have smoke $5k worth of cigarettes and this must have endangered your life. There is no way you will smoke for 5 years and be looking like someone that hasn't smoke in the last 5 years. If you are on insurance, then that's cover for you and if you are not, it means that you will have to cover up for that, another savings for the future expenditures.

If you accumulate Bitcoin, it will help you in the future as well. There is nothing like been late into Bitcoin, there are month when the price goes up and there are times it goes down, you can do monthly DCA, by the end of each year, you should have gather some sats together and when the bull run comes, you will appreciate you have done that and you are also helping your health.

Quitting smoking has two big benefits, and I've been doing it for over 3 months.
op do you understand what you said there, "you have been doing it for every 3 months, then you are an addicted smoker who always try to quit smoking but it is smoking over power you. Well ink ow that is it a mistake that you did and when someone who was a chronic smoker quit smoking then the benefits are numerous and not only two.

You save you money to buy other beneficial things and not smoking sticks again.

That's true! here in our country, the price of cigarettes has been raised a lot, but even if the price has increased, it will not stop smokers from buying it because their body is used to it and is looking for cigarettes. They also can't just stop smoking because as far as I know there is a right way to stop smoking and it can't be done suddenly because it will especially affect a person's health, there is no choice even if cigarettes are expensive, it is included in the budget of the people.
Where I live, the price of cigarettes is also very expensive and smokers are always looking for ways to continue smoking every day. Whether it's replacing expensive cigarettes with cheap cigarettes, or trying through their own hard work to earn more income so they won't be so bothered when they have to buy cigarettes at prices that are starting to get expensive. Likewise with several other basic goods where everyone is always looking for ways to replace them with cheaper ones as long as the quality of the goods is not much different from the expensive ones.

I had to do this a while ago. Both for my health of course, but cigarettes started to cost a lot and I didn't want to buy tobacco and roll my own ones, which wasn't free neither anyway and I had way too much debt to keep on smoking.

For me, it didn't mean I had more money to invest into bitcoin, it meant I was capable of keep paying my debts, so it was really not that much of a different situation for me, it felt like it would be normal and not really give me anything that would be extra but at least didn't cost me neither. I have to say, if people could get rid of their bad habits that cost money then the results could be amazing but also bad "habits" are habits for a reason and it is not that easy to get rid of them.

Smoking does not only kill yourself and others through smoke but you are also killing your purse. 😅 Cigarette here in my country is quiet high in price per pack due to huge taxation. Instead of spending you hard earned or extra money on cigarettes it would be better if you save it so you can buy assets in the future like Bitcoin, precious metals, or real estate if it is sufficient enough for those specific investments.

That's right, I think indeed the price of cigarettes may continue to rise and even if the price continues to rise but for active smokers I think they will still try to buy it, because as you said for people who are used to it then they will not be able to stop, even if they cannot buy cigarettes that have become their favorite I think they will still buy cigarettes that are below the price of their favorite cigarettes because for heavy smokers they will not be able to stop smoking.

Yes that's right, for active smokers or heavy smokers they will not be able to stop just like that let alone totally because if they are heavy smokers then I don't think they will be able to stop smoking, if they still feel fine with being active smokers then they will not stop, because in my opinion it is also their own enjoyment.

Smoking has never been good neither has it been healthy to lives so, there is every good reason to quit smoking. Quiting smoking is a privilege to safe your health and saves moneys used to buy them. It is an addition that has you the thinking of being your personal self.
Moreover, World Health Organization (WHO) already warns that smokers a liable to die young.
I have met so illiterate thinking guys who defends it that smoking even extends life and they are glad with pride pointing at some olden people who smokes that are possibly older than those who doesn't smoke. It sure that these guys doesn't know the effect of smokes in the lungs and the irresponsible additions it portrays most of them in the public by how waywardly and uncontrolably they could smoke.

The biggest benefit is not having cancer. My father had lung cancer that was spreading everywhere and I he was a smoker all his life, mostly smoking unfiltered cheap ones because that's what you could buy in the 60s. He also smoked a pipe from time to time. I grew up knowing the smell of tobacco and hating it. This made me avoid smoking my whole life and I hope that my life choices save me from health problems.
There's a lot of benefits like saving money, smelling better, not having bad breath, catching less cold because bacteria like smoke and spread better in it, but not getting cancer beats all of it.

Very good decision.  You should be proud of this decision. As your health risk has been reduced for this change, your money has also been prevented. And your money is now being invested in a trusted sector.  Because of this decision of yours, you will be saved from major diseases in the future. More smoking is very harmful to health.  You keep investing in BTC it will give you good results in future which will be very good for you and your family.

Quitting smoking has two big benefits, and I've been doing it for over 3 months. And both can be said to be long-term investments, apart from long-term health, the money used to buy cigarettes can also be used to invest and I invested in Bitcoin.
And I definitely felt a difference in my health and also saw a difference in my Bitcoin holdings after increasing my purchases, and I wish I could do it forever. Honestly, even though I don't do it, sometimes I am still tempted to want to smoke again when hanging out with friends and also at certain moments.
And the strong reason I stopped smoking was because my wife likes to nag me if I smoke at home because I have small children, and over time I decided to stop smoking. And previously I tried it several times but failed, and now I haven't smoked for more than 3 months and I hope I can do it forever because it has two extraordinary benefits. Health and can increase my investment.

If ever your wife was nagging you, it was because she loved you and wanted to be with you for a long time or until old age. He does that, but also for your health. So you shouldn't hate him; instead, you should appreciate what he is doing.

and it's also good that you realized to stop that, and the good thing is that you became a habit of spending 2 dollars for your habit before, but you still haven't stopped. The only difference is that you allocated the money that should have been reserved for cigarettes instead you have already bought Bitcoin, and in this matter, it was a good decision you made, honestly speaking.

Smoking has never interested me either. So many people smoke that it seems to be a very normalized behavior. It shouldn't be like that because people who smoke are not only harming themselves, they are also harming their environment. The simplest example is when a smoker talks to you, you feel like they are blowing smoke at you and that smell is bad for a non-smoker. They act without thinking about it and don't think about quitting smoking.

Economically there is no benefit of smoking. They are doing something that is not good for their health and they are paying for the financial damage that smoking does to them. Quitting smoking and investing is an exemplary behavior. Not only are you making an investment, but you are also getting rid of a habit that is harmful to your health. It is profitable in every respect.

~snip~

I hope you can consistently quit smoking, what I heard from my friend he wants to quit smoking but it will only last for a few months because he felt like something was missing when he didn't smoke. If it benefits us from doing it we should keep doing it since smoking won't benefit anyone then it's better to leave it and to those who didn't smoke don't try to smoke because it is addicting from what I heard. Also its true that smoking wastes our money so what you do with your cigarette money is already the best thing.

Smokers know about that and they really don't care because they're addicted to the nicotine and they want the feeling that the cigarette gives to them so they still do it even though they know that it's bad for their body and that it's not a good thing for them, the thing that matters the most when it comes to quitting smoking is they themselves wanted to change for the better, it's something that's not influenced by how money they can save when they don't smoke, the reason is mostly personal that it's totally unique for each person and they just don't have any way to perfectly articulate that so they tell you other reasons. Also that money that could've is just a could've when it finally happens, it's a little different because when you're not smoking, you might be using that would be cigarette money for other things and I don't believe that investment is the first thing that will come to someone's mind when it comes to that extra money.
It is difficult to describe what smokers feel, and of course the average number of them wants to quit, but it is quite difficult to do.
Addiction is the main reason and if someone has started to be addicted to cigarettes then they will always need them in their free time or even become excessively dependent, namely someone who finds it difficult to think or do anything without cigarettes.

All smokers are aware that cigarettes are not good for their health and cost them money, but it comes back to addiction and self-desire which is difficult to control.

However, I have compared two people who are smokers and non-smokers, I don't see that people who don't smoke can save more money, I think everything is the same and regarding wanting more savings and also money to invest, it all comes back to your own desires.
