Of course, cigarette addicts are very aware of the negative side effects on the body's organs which will worsen. But that is not a problem for cigarette addicts, they prioritize relaxing their minds and not being carried away by stress. It has become a basic assumption every day that except for cigarette addicts they will stop when they are sick

I can't figure it out how they know how deadly smoking is and they still go ahead to get more. You're right, the negative effect smoking has in their (smokers) body has never been a problem to them, is like when ever they don't take at least 1 cigarette it makes them go mad. Some say when they take cigarette it makes them to think far beyond human reasoning, like they see things non-smokers don't.
One of my neighbor continued smoking even when he's feeling sick, some don't care and they know their faith, they smoke they'll die they don't smoke they'll still die so why stop when you're sick? Life is all about the decision we take.
Even the advertisements on cigarette packs already contain information about their negative effects in my area. But it's not an obstacle to quitting, it's still up to people who are addicted to cigarettes to buy . Indeed, people's lives and deaths are determined by God. but accidental death from cigarettes is rare, most people suffer from excessive smoking in the lungs

That information on cigarettes packs (smokers are liable to die young) is one of the best advise the producers have to give to their customers and they know how harmful it is to their health (which means, take but don't abuse it) but some if not all customers do ignore it, right from when I was little it has been there but smokers do take it like it's a life saver.
That warning (smokers are liable to die young) doesn't signify that they'd stop after a particular rounds is just like the producers of cigarettes are letting the public know that they're never responsible if anything goes wrong, that the customers have to take but take it responsibly.
You're right that people's life are determined by God but that doesn't mean that we should use our own hands to kill ourself. Smoking isn't bad but when is excess that's when it's bad, honestly people don't care how it all end up for them, if someone who's a smoker who knows his gauge (maybe one or two sticks of cigarettes) and he's tell another smoker that if he takes too much of cigarettes that it will affect his lungs, the other one can say he (the one giving the advise) is too scared or hasn't gotten to that stage of taking more than 2 packs at ones, so some smokers are the cause of their problem.

This is where these smokers been having in mind that people who dont have those vices or doesnt smoke nor drink are really that dying too early comparing into those who do have tons of vices on which
they would really be making themselves that confident and this is why it would really be driving them to continue into those things on which they arent even that mindful about into those actions that they are making
into. We do know that having no vices is much better.Dont wait up for those illness to come out before you would really be tending to quit but well each of us does have that own approach on things though.

You would really be able to find yourself be making those realizations on the time that your body had been able to see those kind of effects. If you haven't still then dont wait up for such condition.
If you are aiming for some investment out of those vice spendings or expenses then its good to consider out because even if its a small amount to be wasted then when it is been accumulated
and been that saved up then it would really be still a significant amount that might be able to save up for future.
I don't know why addicts don't care about things like that, it's very good to start reducing now but it's very hard to do this. When you start smoking, inspiration for ideas will come out on their own, making cigarette addicts comfortable every day. it is indeed a bad thing for health, maybe time will tell when I will stop

The persistence of smoking, despite its well-documented health risks, is indeed a perplexing phenomenon. It implies the complex interplay of addiction, psychological factors, and individual perceptions of risk. For many smokers, nicotine addiction plays a central role because it's a highly addictive substance that can lead to physical dependence and makes it difficult for smokers to quit even when they are aware of the negative health consequences.

Smoking is often intertwined with social, cultural, and behavioral factors that can reinforce the habit. Some smokers may perceive smoking as a coping mechanism for stress, anxiety, or boredom, further perpetuating the cycle of addiction. There are myths surrounding smoking, such as the belief that it enhances cognitive abilities or provides a sense of relaxation or clarity. These false beliefs can contribute to the rationalization of smoking behavior, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. It's just weird to think of why it goes like this.

Some folks might not see the saved cash going straight into Bitcoin or real estate, but every cig not smoked is a little victory. That money can turn into new experiences, paying off loans, or just treating yourself. Plus, quitting ain't just about saving bucks, it's about feeling healthier and having more energy to actually enjoy life.

Now, I ain't judging nobody. Quitting ain't easy, especially with that sneaky nicotine addiction whispering sweet nothings in your ear. It's a personal journey, and the reasons people kick the habit are as unique as snowflakes. Some do it for their health, some for their family, and some just get tired of being a slave to the cig cravings.

The point is, it's all about what works for you. Comparing smokers and non-smokers on savings ain't the whole story. We all got different priorities and spending habits. But hey, one thing's for sure: ditching the smokes can open up some financial freedom, even if it doesn't instantly turn you into a Wall Street whiz.

Quitting smoking has two big benefits, and I've been doing it for over 3 months. And both can be said to be long-term investments, apart from long-term health, the money used to buy cigarettes can also be used to invest and I invested in Bitcoin.
I don’t really know why people do smoke, when they know it’s really harmful to their health condition, it’s just like you are using your money to buy what’s killing you. I am not a smoker, so I don’t really know how smokers feel after smoking, but even if you are not investing, it’s just better you quit smoking for your own advantage. No matter how little you are spending on cigarettes or other things that you smoke, if it's been invested in bitcoin, it's for your own benefit, and little investment might end up turning big later in the future, so it's better we just avoid smoking, because it's having lots of risks. I haven’t heard about any advantages of smoking before, I only hear about the disadvantages.

even though I don't do it, sometimes I am still tempted to want to smoke again when hanging out with friends and also at certain moments.
Smoking is just something that I think it’s difficult to stop because even when you decide to stop smoking, you are going to be tempted sometimes to keep on smoking, that’s why smokers are always finding it difficult to stop, but if you are dedicated to stopping smoking, then you will stop it. No matter how tempted you are, you shouldn’t go back to it.

90% to quit smoking is very difficult like me. What I experienced when I smoked was that stress or problems made my emotions subside and make me more relaxed. It's true that if you think about it, burning money can buy valuable things, but it's hard to stop. I'm trying not to smoke too much so that I can manage my finances better
Many people who are addicted to smoking also experience the same thing as you, they are aware of the disadvantages but find it difficult to stop.
Reducing may be one solution while slowly eliminating dependence on cigarettes to calm yourself down.
I have thought about all this and in my opinion this is our mindset that makes the desire greater for us smokers in our free time and only a great desire and habit can stop it.
Indeed, everyone who smokes is of course aware of the harm they will get from the habit of smoking and most people ignore this because by smoking they can calm their minds and there are some people who can focus more when they do work while smoking, however This can only be done by those who work outdoors and for those who work indoors it will be difficult to smoke while working unless their work area is allowed to smoke and it is very rare for indoor jobs to allow smoking.

To be able to reduce it is certainly not an easy thing to do, but if we are able to reduce it slowly, of course they will be able to eliminate their smoking habit and this will also have a good impact on their health after they can stop smoking and they will also be able to save their expenses after stopping smoking.

At the point you quit smoking, you made three benefits and not just two. Your wife and your children can have better health because breathing in your smoke is more hazardous to them. And because the bitcoin value is looking great this year of the halving, that $90 will be worth more than that.

I tried smoking with friends out of curiosity, I never really liked it. My parents also shared with me the terrible impacts cigarette smoking can bring to the smoker and considerably more to the others who breathe in the smoke. And I am horrified by the photos from health advertisements showing the awful impacts of smoking on the human body.

I think the bad effects of sugar are worse than smoking, it's just that sugar is a food that many people like, that's why people freely sell sugar and put it in many types of food.
Sugar and smoking are different. Sugar is a need for the body while smoking is not. Sugar is great for the body and it only becomes bad when taken excessively. Smoking is terrible for the body whether you are taking it less a day or excessively. Individuals who are addicted to sugar are not hurting others while smokers who are letting their smoke be breathed in by others are putting them at risk.

Eventually, it is difficult to beat smoking dependence. Most settle it by doing it gradually until the day comes when they never again hunger for a cigarette.

Smokes are 12 a pack I used to smoke 💨 1 ½ packs a day so I save 18 x 365 = $6570 a year.

I quit on feb 29 1996 which is almost 28 years.  when I quite they were 2 bucks a pack so 3 a day or 1095 back in 1996. if the average is 3600 for 28 years I saved over 100k.

I can assure you I would not be fairly healthy if I kept smoking. 🚬 I wish all smoking by all people ended tonight fuck tobacco companies and vape companies.

but having smoked from 1970 to 1996 I get it quitting them is hard to do.

It's absolutely true what you say smoking only wastes money, especially as the price of cigarettes continues to get more expensive than smoking. It's better to set aside your money to invest and you'll be healthier, but if you can't, start cutting back or buying cigarettes that are cheaper than usual, sometimes when we're stressed. We also need these cigarettes or don't smoke when necessary. These are tips and suggestions so you can increase your investment money and reduce smoking
Quitting smoking can provide two benefits at once, health and savings. Buying cigarettes that are cheaper than usual will be more dangerous than cigarettes that are more expensive, cigarettes that are slightly cheaper usually do not use good tobacco and other ingredients used in cigarettes.
Quitting smoking is better than buying cheaper cigarettes, the method depends on each individual. At first it is a little difficult to stop for active smokers, but if the intention to stop smoking is stronger than the desire to smoke, sooner or later you will be free from cigarette addiction.

But why didn't I say that quitting smoking can make you save more? I felt it myself that quitting smoking made me buy more food and drink. I admit that it is quite difficult to be able to allocate the money that you should buy cigarettes to something else, such as investing or saving, and I applaud that you can do that.

This is really the reality of what happened. When I read OP's article, I was doubtful and thought, is OP really a former smoker? I mean if you are a smoker and then you stop smoking, it won't make you think you will save money because you have stopped smoking. As a smoker who has quit for more than a year, I realize that if you stop smoking, you will use the money to buy food and drinks.

Even though you won't spend money like you would when smoking, that doesn't mean you can immediately save $90 because you have quit smoking. I don't know whether your story is true or not but I applaud you if you can really allocate all the money you use to buy cigarettes to invest.
thats true to some extent some people that are quitting smoking definitely will cope by buying some more food and drink for pleasure and thats totally understandable but some people might instead insist on saving in becasue they want to buy something and thats fine eitherway, quitting smoking despite the fact that the money might went somewhere else already a win for many people since it helps prevent them from getting serious disease.
after all, smoking truly have bad effect on health and if someone is not having good enough insurance they might need to pay serious amount of money just for treatment in the future.
overall, its fine eitherway.

Quitting smoking has two big benefits, and I've been doing it for over 3 months. And both can be said to be long-term investments, apart from long-term health, the money used to buy cigarettes can also be used to invest and I invested in Bitcoin.
In one month I can spend approximately $90 to buy cigarettes, and the price of the cigarettes I buy is around $2/pack for one pack a day and sometimes more than one pack.
And by quitting smoking, I was able to increase my regular monthly Bitcoin purchases from a portion of my monthly salary as well as $90 per month in cigarette money.
And I definitely felt a difference in my health and also saw a difference in my Bitcoin holdings after increasing my purchases, and I wish I could do it forever. Honestly, even though I don't do it, sometimes I am still tempted to want to smoke again when hanging out with friends and also at certain moments.
And the strong reason I stopped smoking was because my wife likes to nag me if I smoke at home because I have small children, and over time I decided to stop smoking. And previously I tried it several times but failed, and now I haven't smoked for more than 3 months and I hope I can do it forever because it has two extraordinary benefits. Health and can increase my investment.

As an active smoker, I really understand the dangers posed by the nicotine contained in cigarettes, apart from damaging your health, cigarettes can also empty your pockets. I have repeatedly tried to quit smoking, but always failed. Every time I'm working in front of a laptop, my mind feels like it's frozen and it's hard to get inspiration, without a cigarette my mood can't work together.
Even though I haven't been able to completely stop smoking anymore, I am getting used to reducing my dependence on cigarettes. Usually I could consume two packs every day, but now it has started to decrease to one pack. Luckily you have been able to avoid smoking addiction, try not to be tempted anymore, you will get many benefits from quitting smoking.
Same with me, life without cigarettes is like life without color. Because I'm addicted, every day I definitely finish one pack. If you think about it, the money that was burned could create business capital. the number of cigarettes since starting work is because people are addicted to cigarettes and carry on the same thing until now. very difficult to avoid

I personally know a man who smokes everyday, and when I suggest to him about smoking less for the sake of his own health, he has told me smoking is important to him, because it helps him to relieve anxiety.
Though, I had always thought anxiety was created by the addiction to nicotine itself but not so long ago (thanks to his explanation) I learnt that tobbacco can be effectively good for people who suffer from stress not to feel stressed and keep themselves relaxed while facing their job duties.
That explains why it is so difficult for some people to completely quit smoking.

Another person who used to be a smoker has told me that sometimes he feels like smoking, even though he completely quit cigarettes about 20 years ago. Though, he managed not to smoke again and stay away from it. I guess people like me, who do not smoke, underestimate how addictive nicotine can be.
Classic short-term relief vs. long-term tragedy. Your friend may feel "relaxed" by smoking, but it's a costly health and financial crutch. Ever calculated how much smoking costs? In addition to packs, health expenditures, lost productivity, and insurance increases

That nicotine reduces stress? Addiction speaks. Nicotine's withdrawal and relief cycle fools smokers into thinking it relieves stress. No, it's the cause. What about ex-smokers' "desire"? It's just the brain's addiction memory. Breaking free requires changing one's stress and health attitude, not just quitting. Making sensible, healthy decisions is hard, but nobody said it was simple. It's worth it every time

I already helped him to calculate how much money he is spending daily on filing his addiction or dependence to cigarettes and I have also noticed how everytime I get closer to talk to him he smells like tobacco. He is one of those smokers who have embraced (at least for now) tobacco as part of his life, he has been smoking for at least 14 years now.
I don't know how it must feel to be a smoker like he his, but nicotine must have certainly some powerful effects on ones brain if one is willing to stick to it for that long while being aware of the long term damage it can be done to one's lungs. I have seen people who try to fight the dependence through the use of screwing gum, but while it may help to reduce anxiety, it does not help much with the chemical dependence the person has on nicotine.

Whether smoking meaningfully affects personal finances in the long term also depends on the quantity of cigarettes one consumes daily. I have my self seen people smoking around one box per day, half box per day and someone once told me they need to smoke two boxes per day to stay relaxed. Obviously the economical impact of smoking is going to be bigger and more negative in those who smoke the most.
Also. Have you thought on alternatives for smoking which would help you to quit faster and without suffering the nasty withdrawal effects? I have read alternatives which directly help to curb anxiety can help to be less dependent on nicotine, another different approach is to buy nicotine toothpicks or nicotine patches, though those are not as available as other more common alternatives (chewing gum or screwing tobacco), and usually are more expensive than cigarettes.  Sad

Smoking less is a good first step, there is no doubt about it, however, smokers who wish to completely quit it have to have an exit plan for the long term, in my opinion...
Of course it affects my finances. I once used 3 boxes of cigarettes a day because of high depression and the only way out was cigarettes which could calm me down and help me think. For me, burning money for 3 packs of cigarettes is no problem when high depression becomes an outlet for anger. In my place there are lots of active smokers from young to old people

The most significant advantage of quitting smoking undeniably lies in the realm of health. Cessation not only leads to financial savings through the elimination of tobacco expenditures, but it also presents a pivotal opportunity to invest in your own well-being and that of your loved ones. Each cigarette you refrain from smoking represents a micro-investment in your physical health. Your lungs regain their capacity for easier respiration, your cardiovascular system functions more efficiently, and your overall health improves, reducing susceptibility to various illnesses. Quitting is akin to rebooting your body, enhancing its ability to fight off disease and function optimally.

Moreover, the benefits extend beyond the individual. By quitting, you safeguard the health of those around you from exposure to secondhand smoke, a silent threat that can inflict harm just as severe as direct inhalation. So, quitting isn't just an act of self-care; it's an act of love and protection for your family and friends.
