@Eliovp I Just find an old topic about your test of R9 Fury X (Mine will be a Fury not X).
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.11950487

200W in casual algo and 300W for Intensive algo (Sia) ... seems high Cry
May you were pushing the cards hard ? There is probably a way to run them in a more efficient manner ?

Anyone here have played with R9 Fury ?
I already have a R9 Nano but with a discount a can get a cheap R9 Fury ... but even if the perf and spec a similar, the power consumption seems really higher.
Does someone have informations about undervolt and power usage of a mining R9 Fury ?

PS :Does the R9 Nano ROM can fit in a R9 Fury ?

Heliox... have you tried messing with 480s yet?

Anyone have tried undervolting stock 480s?

I get about 24.5MHs per card and would like to save on power a bit more.

I dont mind losing 1-2 MHs if I can lower down watts by at least 50-60watts more.

Anyone tried this?

Where do I get this Wattman utility for RX480. Can it undervolt the 480?

Has anyone tested the 390 cards? What is the best clocks and voltages.?

Is this bios working on Fury (non-nano) also?

It will not work on Fury, they have different number of Cores. Fury also has reference and non refererence cards.

About Memory voltage for Tahiti.

Any idea where to look at in the bios (hex edit) to change the mvddc (memory voltage) of Tahiti cards (7950,7970,280,280x).

Some run at 1500mv and some run at 1600mv.
(Afterburner lets you adjust only +/- 100mv mvddc).

So eg. you can't set 1400mv for cards that come with 1600mv stock.

A "standard" bios can be found here:

Sorry for the off topic post but maybe you can have a quick glance at it.  Grin

I also want to know. I have quite a few 280X. I run them at 1250MHz. There is no need for the memory voltage to be above 1500mV.

I don't have a tahiti based rom with lower memory voltage. Not even sure if that's even possible. probably same thing like with Hawaii, you don't lower the memory voltage but you lower the voltage given to the controller which gives the memory it's voltage.

Anyhow, i do have a modified 280x rom with tighter timings and undervolted core voltage.
Works perfectly over here at core 1100 mem 1500.

Flash at your own risk. I'm not responsible for any damage done.
If you can't afford to brick your card, then don't flash.
If you don't trust it, don't flash.

If you're like me and you love to experiment, go ahead Smiley

With this new ROM, I got 23.4MH/s @ 800MHz core + 250MHz RAM.
Pretty close to Eliovp's claim  Wink

What is the hash rate, if you change to 900/260 MHz or 900/250 MHz or 900/300 MHz?
I did try 900/300MHz for a while, got around 25.8MH/s

If you try 900/260, you might get 26.x MH/s.

Ok.

New rom release, tighter timings.

Tests have been done on 15.12 drivers which i find are the overall best drivers available.
Also done a test on 16.4.1 and that's also ok.

16.1.1 & 16.6.* not. So if you have these, speed won't be the same.

Before, per card @ core 800 , speed Ethereum: 22Mh
Now, 23.5Mh.

Power draw, exactly the same.

Included a few roms in the package.

Greetings!

Thanks for sharing. I run the miner at 900/260 MHz, hash rate is 26.4MHz. I changed to the latest BIOS. There is no difference.

How are the memory straps? Is that every 125 MHz or something else?

250-400-500 with latest rom

So the 300 and 260 will use the same memory strap. When I change the frequency to 900/300 instead of 900/260, the hash rate will be 25MH/s instead of 26.4. Quite strange.

Yeah that's because you're using 900 as core clock.. timing changes when using that core clock..

Is that timing change due to the core frequency happens only in the Nano graphics cards? 260 and 300 are within 250-400.

Hi, that's new to me! How can I calculate the mem clock from the core?
I am currently using 850 core clock with the old rom. What's the recommended mem clock? And how does it change with the new rom?

And thanks for sharing the new rom! I hope I'll find some time to test this weekend!
Cheers,
