Hey guys,

made a big package with 156 roms.

includes A LOT of nano roms, so i'm sure there's something in there for everyone Smiley,
also includes a bunch of roms for the 390 Nitro w/ backplate cards.
and modded 390 roms for 290 reference cards (those are not mine, but i included them because they're awesome).

link: >Here<

Greetings

Thanks lot. Do you have one for the XFX 1015 with back plate? I remember you have that card.

Heliox - just to update that I managed to get the -175mV working on the new batch of Nanos.

I have not got all 6 cards in a complete setup yet, but testing on 1 card is a success.
I will run it overnight before flashing the other cards.
I will report the kill-lo-watt meter readings tomorrow morning.

As of now, with -175mV rom:
-6mV,1040/300 = 30.3MHs at fans= fix 60%, temps 67-68c
and
stock -175mV,800/300 = 22.4MHs, temps 62-63c, auto fans

I am tempted to try the -200mV rom.

Is it normal that some rigs will have 150 roms and some 175 roms, mixed configs in your environment?
how do you guys mnaage to raise the core on the modded rom cards ? i have several -175 six card rigs and th seccnd i change to core from 800 to even 950 the box crashes

In Windows, you can use the MSI afterburner to raise/reduce the core voltage. The memory voltage is not changeable.

Read my post i said i tried that and it box crashes whenever i change the core from the 800 to anything higer

windows 10, even with a clean install same thing happens.

Hi Marvell,

I had exactly the same problem. Reason is that some of your nanos cannot cope with -175mv while some can.

I had 6 nanos shipped from Amazon and I made the mistake that I applied the same rom to ALL of them. However, each card is different. I even was very unlucky, and had one card that even cannot cope with a -100mv mem voltage! Hence my rig always crashed when increasing the core speed. Unfortunately I also used this gpu when I only tested with one nano...

Therefore my recommendation:
- Test each nano separately and see what mem voltage it does not crash with when you increase the core speed and start the mining

I had the following results:
GPU 1: -100core/-75mem: -100mem lets the system crash. Currently I manually reduce the core clock to -100 (there is only one -75/-75 rom here)
GPU 2: -175 mem
GPU 3: -175 mem
GPU 4: -150 mem
GPU 5: -70core/ -150 mem: Claymore's miner shows a lot of invalid shares for this gpu. I increased the core clock and now it's better though there are still some invalid shares from time to time
GPU 6: Dead - getting replacement

Some other issues: when running headless, max 640x480 resolution when using vnc. Had to purchase a dummy plug. Now it works.

I'm thinking of reducing further the core clocks (except GPU5), but first I want to run this rig for some days to see its stability.

Hope this helps! And Helios, great job! Looking forward to your other roms.

Cheers,
Talan

Do you mean even if you raise the core voltage to higher levels, that does not support the higher core frequency?
core freqency you mean and yes the modded rom cards wont let me raise the core freqency frm 800
stock cards start at 1000 and i have no problems raising it up to 1060

on my -175 rom mod, 800/300 to 1040/300 no problem using Afterburner.
reading the threads here, the only difference from my setup and others is my molex is powered and my risers are also powered.
I could only guess that it maybe power related your issue.
However, others have commented that only powered risers is used (w/o molex) and they can overclock too.

if you are using H81-BTC board, ensure molex is powered, and also use powered risers.
i use the msi gaming boards and all powered risers on all the cards so its not that

Will release a big amount of roms later this weekend.  (100ish..) Smiley

For which card? Nano? Grin

Mostly nano yes.

Will have a bunch with different offsets. You'll see..

Will release a big amount of roms later this weekend.  (100ish..) Smiley

Greetings

Do you have the XFX 1050 or 1015 MHz Roms. Will be interested to know how you reduce the memory timing/latency.

I have the XFX 390 DD w/ backplate yes. (1015Mh version). I'll add that one as well.

Will release a big amount of roms later this weekend.  (100ish..) Smiley

Greetings

Looking fwd to MSI-R9-390 (with back plate) rom mod please....  Grin Grin

Don't own that card mate. Don't have a register dump of it either. Won't be simple to make one Smiley

I have managed to get the -175 rom to hit 1060/300 pushing nearly 31MHs.

Anything more, reduces the MHs lower, so I stopped at 1060, and let it stabilize.

Flashed a 2nd nano to join this system, and so far so good averaging 30.xxMHs

Tomorrow, I will add more to achieve 6 x Nanos.

I hope this batch of Nanos make it to -175 rom mod.

Looking good Smiley

Mine run 1050 core without any problems, haven't gone higher because i didn't want to tbh..

Good luck further! Glad you're having fun Smiley

I was wondering why I was able to do it and many have commented that they cannot.

I think I know why.

My H81 is powered molex and my USB3 risers are also powered -- both powered.

with a kickass PSU like EVGA-G2 1300w or 1600w, cranking it up to maximum was a breeze.

its not a psu issue since i should be able to up the core to like 950 on a single card with my 1000 watt evga psu
even tweaking one card leads to bsod and i have tried all the cards individually to see if its a specific card these are all with the 175 rom
