AMD has unveiled the Radeon RX 7900M mobile GPU built around its RDNA 3 architecture, its fastest mobile gaming chip to date and "first-even chiplet laptop graphics." The company has positioned the new chips for high FPS 1440p (QHD) gaming rather than 4K as a way to boost regular laptop gaming. AMD is also touting its FSR 3 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) upscaling tech that's similar to NVIDIA's DLSS 3, promising a large boost in frame rates for games like Starfield and Forspoken.

The RX 6750 GRE video card will be sold in China today, October 18th. The price of the new video card is $152, but if its performance is comparable to the RTX 4060 Ti video card for $400, then the demand will be huge.
But I still doubt the performance of the RX 6750 GRE

I think that novice miners are not buying the Nvidia 3000 series for mining now. But the prices for these models do fall because there is not much demand for them.
There will be greater activity when the payback of video cards decreases to the payback of ASICs

turn out nothing to be special about rdna3 even with 4nm just barely performance gain even massive shrinking node. just like tsmc 3nm that apple use
now you dont need to wait another tsmc 2nm for efficieny cus they failed to impress in new product line in many vendor, only gddr7 will save gpu either for mining or only raster performance

Radeon RX 6750 GRE “Golden Rabbit Edition” launches in China
Just yesterday, Gigabyte made an announcement regarding the upcoming launch of their RX 6750 GRE Gaming and Eagle GPUs on October 18th. However, MSI managed to outpace them by introducing their gaming prebuilt systems, which are already available for purchase today.

ITHome, the first to discover this new listing, wasted no time in contacting MSI’s consumer service with a specific question about these GPUs. According to their report, the GPU is expected to deliver performance comparable to that of an RTX 4060 Ti, presumably the 8GB model. No other information is available to confirm this assertion, so the accuracy of this claim will ultimately depend on initial testing by early users.

ITHome inquired with customer service and learned that the performance of the new RX 6750 GRE is comparable to the RTX 4060 Ti.

The more cards the better for us all, this makes the price of the 3000 series to go rock bottom now as I wonder who uses the 3000 Nvidia series for mining anymore except us that already have quite some of them plus the people who wanna build a cheap rig to try out the waters first.

I don't know the hash rate of this but it should be to 75-80 Mhsh if it is the same performance and I hope the TDP consumption is lower, the lower the better and more people will be interested to build rigs with such cards,of course now we don't have anymore scalping added to the market so anyone who wishes can afford cards with the normal prices by the producers.

AMD “System Lag” metric now available, only for RDNA3 GPUs

Crucially, this feature will exclusively function with graphics cards that support Anti-Lag+. Presently, this includes only the Radeon RX 7000 series and RDNA3 iGPUs. This capability has been integrated into the drivers and is now automatically activated. With this feature, AMD is committed to ensuring that users gain a deeper understanding of how Anti-Lag+ enhances their gaming experience, a technology that was introduced concurrently with FSR3.

The video card manufacturer Asus has registered a model for new video cards and Asus will have a new ProArt model. Companies do this because they think that gamers buy GPUs. STRIX models, as always, do not have the most reliable fans that will not withstand 3 years of mining; TUF Gaming is supposedly better in terms of cooling.

The "narrowed" RDNA 4 product lineup is said to only encompass Navi 43 and Navi 44 GPUs, with a heavier focus on mid-range offerings. Lately, Bits And Chips has decided to pile on with another theory, likely obtained from their favored inside source: "AMD will sacrifice next Radeon gaming GPUs (RX 8000) output at TSMC in order to pump up FPGA and GPGPU production." The AI hardware market is in a boom phase, and Team Red is keen to catch up with NVIDIA—past reports have suggested that Team Green production priorities have shifted away GeForce RTX 4090 GPUs, in favor of an output uptick of "immensely profitable" H100 AI GPUs. Is AMD simply copying the market leader's homework?

The AMD 5 series also did not have top video cards.
The market doesn't need gaming graphics cards. The market needs GPGPU-based computing power.

Vastarmor, a Chinese graphics card manufacturer, has officially unveiled two new models: the RX 7800 XT Alloy and the RX 7700 XT Alloy Pro. These cards share an identical external design, differing only in their internal configurations of GPU and memory.

Both the RX 7800 XT Alloy and the RX 7700 XT Alloy Pro feature a robust cooling solution with a triple-fan and 2.5-slot design, measuring 32.8 cm in length, 13.2 cm in width, and 5.3 cm in height. Both models come with slight overclocking, which may result in higher power consumption compared to AMD’s reference specifications of 263W and 245W for the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT SKUs, respectively.

The 7600 XT video card will be the weakest in the 7000 series. AMD does not plan to release 7500 XT and lower models. And the RX 7700 XT is rumored to outperform the RX 6800 in some benchmarks. And the RX 7800 XT may not outperform its predecessor RX 6800 XT much, because the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT are close in performance.

I too am curious to hear about performance and availability. Most of my GPUs are pretty old now so I wouldn’t mind checking out one of these bad boys. I’ve always preferred AMD to Nvidia so I think I’ll probably go with one of these models as I suspect that spending USD on this generation of GPUs might be a good investment.
Nvidia's powerful models can be used for AI computing. AMD tries to beat the competition with price, but developers of miners for new coins first choose the latest models of Nvidia video cards. If there are new coins, then most likely the 3060-3090 models will be relevant, and these video cards are now cheap on the secondary market.

Scott Herkelman Q&A: AMD Radeon boss answers your burning RX 7800 XT question

Club386: Still no sign of 12VHPWR on any Radeon graphics card. Is this a burning issue for you?

Scott Herkelman
SH: We specifically, for 7900 Series, and even 7600, we didn’t plan on the new power cable, but 7800 and 7700 did have a plan for it. We removed it, and that was a purposeful removal. You shouldn’t blame end users for issues you have. You should catch and own any problems, just like we did with the vapour-chamber issue. I was all over social media because I felt like it was AMD’s problem and I was going to own it.

Until this power issue is cleaned up and there’s good confidence it’s working correctly for end users, that’s where you’ll start to see us incorporate it into our planning. The ability for someone to say it’s an end-user’s fault is a little strange to AMD and definitely strange to me.

During Gamescom 2023, the curtain was finally pulled back on the AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT, with both graphics cards set to launch imminently. As expected, AIBs like Gigabyte and ASUS will be releasing their own custom coolers for the AMD GPUs, but MSI, however, is conspicuously absent from the roster.

It’s not the first time MSI has declined to participate in AMD GPU launches. While it offered its own Ventus model of the AMD Radeon RX 7600, MSI didn’t develop an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT straight off the bat, instead waiting a few months to release its own iteration. The reason for MSI’s antipathy towards AMD graphics cards isn’t clear, but there’s no doubt it seems keener on Nvidia’s GeForce pixel pushers.

I do not hope that miners will run to buy these video cards, so we are waiting for reviews.

If you have to choose between RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT and $50 difference in price, then it is better to buy a 16 GB video card and not worry about replacing it for gaming in the next 4 years. But comparing the 7800 XT to AMD's RTX 4070 shouldn't be taken literally, because the RTX 4070 can win in games that use ray tracing. The 7800 XT beats the RTX 4070 in terms of price and performance.

AMD announces its mid-range RX 7000 GPUs.
The RX 7800 XT utilizes the full configuration of this GPU, featuring 60 CUs, 128 AI Accelerators, 16GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 19.5 Gbps over a 256-bit bus. The card will therefore offer fewer cores than the last-gen RX 6800 XT (72 CUs). The GPU’s clock speed reaches up to 2430 MHz, and it consumes 263W of power.

Interestingly, the RX 7700 XT‘s specifications surpass expectations. It employs 54 CUs and 108 AI Accelerators, a notable improvement over the previous-gen RX 6700 XT with its 40 CUs. This model also utilizes 12GB of GDDR6 memory across a 192-bit bus, although its memory clock is slightly lower at 18 Gbps. Notably, the RX 7700 XT exhibits a higher TBP compared to the RX 6700 XT, with a 15W increase to 245W.

6000 series to 7000 series only modest perfomance bump and overpriced while you can get used 6700 xt for 220$ which is quite a deal
while 7000 series gain reputation in handheld series igpu, nothing to fancy about the discrete gpu number. most of people waiting rdna cus is using gddr7 definetly massive perfomance uplift in mining or anything
