one address is so big thing for you?
of course every address i post here is public. what did you think?

i have no time with guys like you.

...and we have a winner!

: Over yonder: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-vanity-addresses-1257817

: 1yoona1 would take about six hours to reach the 50% mark - 888446610538 is close enough to

In both searches, it's assuming you want case sensitive.

ok, now i see.
extremely slow hardware.

example 1yoona1 would take about some minutes.
i guess 280x running there.

Tell me, does the address generation is subject to a difficulty that depends of the competition going on in the area like the Bitcoin network is ?
No. Addresses can be generated offline and do not depend on blockchain difficulty.

Within the context of this discussion thread it is quite similar.  The more hashing power you have at your disposal to find an address the faster you will find it hence the more difficult it will be to enter the Rare Address Hall of Fame.  We're not looking for bitcoins here though; we are looking for rare addresses.

Im still not so sure how addresses work. I know their purpose, and i know how to use mine, but how are they generated? What decides things like length?

How do i select the GPU Huh?
You can try asking here: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22], I've had great help there to get it working.
It doesn't ask me to choose a device, I have just one option I guess, so I can't tell you how to select it.

Thanks! I have used VanityGen Before but being not good with memory , i did not remember about l..
Can we used I instead ? So it would look like l ?

No, 1 is the closest to l in terms of looks.

anything more than 1 day is alot to keep it running just for a address..
Can you make a case sensitive one ? More like 1koe1en3
My GPU is pretty neat.. How do u check my MKeys/s ?
Maybe mine is faster and i will give it a try?

Just run oclvanitygen instead of vanitygen to use your GPU.

Thanks , been busy over the week - will try it today...

The solutions I found for 1koe1en3 were based on searching for two distinct types simultaneously

Code:
1koe1en3
 1koeLen3

with the -i and -k switches.

I can add in

Code:
1koeien3

to the mix - Unfortunately when you add the BTC suffix there is an error "duplicate search" (can't recall the exact phrase, but you can only search for

Code:
1koe1en3 or
 1koe1en3btc but not both.

I will look into the post by Shorena on how to do the half privkey and then if mine speed comes low...
I will get one from you! Smiley

Thanks both of you! Appreciate the time you put into it

1111111111111111111114oLvT2             (21 ones in a row, weird length)
Not a real address, it is literally just the number 0 encoded as a bitcoin address. It's nice that someone's sent some coins to it, though. If those coins ever go anywhere, it'll constitute absolute proof that the whole system is completely broken and we're all doomed.

This: validateaddress 1111111111111111111114oLvT2
Returns true

It's valid but can't be used?

Just run oclvanitygen instead of vanitygen to use your GPU.

Edit : so you mean you get 15Mkeys/s ? :/

Well, yes when I have a few virtual machines running. When I dont I get ~37MKeys/s

Am merely getting 1.15 Mkeys/s and with using
Code:
 -i 1koe1en3
it shows some 14-17 hours
while with just

Would take me a few hours at max, price would be 0.0009 btc.

Code:
 1koe1en3
it shows some 1-3 days!

so can you get me

"1koe1en3" <--- in this specific order ?? Smiley

Well 1koe1en3 would take me a few weeks and Id rather not block the system for that long, but 1Koe1en3 (capital K instead of small one) is one I could do over night. Would cost you 0.0068 btc. You can also ask Timelord2067. IIRC they have 2 GPUs and sometimes offer finding addresses for free. We both use split key generation, so we dont know your private keys. I have a step by step in my thread -> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-vanity-addresses-1257817

PS - what are you using to get 15 Mkeys/s Huh  Roll Eyes Huh

-snip-
Shorena, what GPU did you use for generating the address and how much Mkey/s did you get for it?
Just curious for it Tongue

A single GTX 970, which gets (unless slowed down by other things) ~37MKeys/s.
