How do people get these awesome addresses?
Isn't there a way to just quickly create them and then make a new one a couple seconds after? I really don't know :/

I like pony this address and other all are simply non sense. It makes sense to have such a unique and awesome address which starts with 1234 and ends with same in opposition order. Other all address mentioned are not so rare address which would have hall of fame.
How do people get these awesome addresses?
OP doesn't seem to be very active but since last edited the thread a few months ago, perhaps it's worth pointing out that he should replace the blockexplorer.com links as the site doesn't seem to have been maintained.
For 36 of the last 48 hours have been tinkering with the settings and come up with these candidates:

Your address (1MMMMGhox5YvX9AkfS5MtTxMLve2MGEMMM) not only has the four "M"'s at the beginning and three at the end, but a total of NINE "M"'s in all. In my casual browsing around on my own and at this thread, I have not seen that many of the same character in any address.
The most I have ever dealt with was five "M"'s, my address at my profile has four "P"'s, and earlier today I received some BTC at my address with for "E"'s.
I do not use the vanity address generators, just personal observations.

I think if Vanitygen were adjusted in such a way there might be some initial confusion about what the program is searching for.
Searching for the start/end slowed my box down searching with the GPU's at the same time, I saw the -t 3 in the other thread and have given that a go which looks promising.

So I'll limit my palindrome-search to the address.

You're welcome to search for those, I won't be participating as once a private key is made public, it is always worthless.
It might be faster to use oclvanitygen and a file dump but I think the file would become extremely large.
oclvanitygen needs about 1 second to start up, which makes it slower than vanitygen for short strings.140,000 addresses was just 17 MB, so it's not a limitation.

There is a way to search for matches at the end. Use a regex search with the -r option and $ matches end of string. ^ is supposed to match the beginning of the string but it doesn't work properly in vanitygen for some reason. I believe it was shorena who figured out that ^^ does work in vanitygen for matching beginning of string though. I can't find the reference so I'm going with my memory on that; apologies if it was someone else.

Agreed ANoN is just an abbreviation... "We" or "Mom" (which is the North American way to spell "Mum") don't really count.

Can't recall the command to search the tail (or middle) end for a pattern, but AFAIK you can't search for at both ends simultaneously?
