Are there any vanity address generators that will keep track of cool addresses not just ones that you specify?

When spitting reality, be careful not to spit it into the wind.
Short answer: "No"...but if you're good at cool and regex, it is conceivable.

This is sure is funny, I hope to get a rare address such as 1Ihave1millionbitcoins0023xx111. This kind of topic is starting to emerge, somebody has posted a topic like this one. He said that we will not stop mining so he can generate a rare address. Though its funny but I admire that persons passion and I hope I can also catch a rare address and sell it haha.

I doubt any one would buy a rare address because the seller would still have access to the private key. I do with I had 1 million bitcoins Grin

No you can safely let someone else provide the calculation power to find a rare address without risking the private key. The method is called split key vanity and everyone offering vanity generation should use this method or be considered a scammer.

Just curious. What are the advantages of having these addresses? Apart from fancy and beautiful itself. If there is none, it's a waste of time.

18 leading digits, a new record. I actually found this several months ago but didn't notice, lol.

Very exciting collection! Thank You for the idea. You could keep the thread continually updated so that I will not have to go through a monolithic wall of posts to get the best ones. I can hardly wait the sight of an address that is a full sentence. Has anyone created an address like that? I do not care if it is vanity or similar.
Not yet, as I am aware of. Creating full address of your choice still requires you to have huge computing power.
There is zero incentive to do this, as special or fancy BTC address won't help you in any way.

It will if someone pays a high amount of money for it to You. Look how many love to spend on vanity addresses that contain a word or abbreviation that makes some sense to them. How cool it would be to have a full-sentence address... I agree, even putting a word that makes sense into the address necessitates serious computing power, but that is why I want to see such an address, to get to know how the person generated it, what method he used or from where he got the power. As @LoyceV wrote, there may be smart methods out there.

I have discovered a new toy: Bitcoin mini-private-keys! Instead of generating millions of keys per second using vanitygen, I am now down to just 25 keys per second. I store them in a text-file, do some manual processing, and then use a script and a list of short words to find matches.

That got me this:
1JimsRibZy84CndnqpFwdGWiiTAUsrDh8x
For the outside world it's not so special: I could make this with oclvanitygen in about a day (for 50% chance).

Now check the private key:
mini:
SsrCCfD26oWBh1ZcAyT3mrFMSvtAQX
normal:
5JaV2WeFbofErXdA1DdUXzxxE3HUG3XxkzwRi2YwjiaVSMEfGdq

(needless to say: I'm not going to use this address)

I found another one to add to the hall of fame: 1MyMoney4uNt5afXALAZpoovJpqojEMkLP
I was searching for 1MyMoney, thinking it would be nice for a paper wallet, but now it's very nice if I ever want to give away some Bitcoins.
On my hardware it takes 12 years for 50% chance to find this prefix, so I don't expect to find it again.

Myself, I still have not noticed any address in use with more than FIVE of any alphanumeric.
LoyceV and I are have eight and a couple of nine of the same digit or letter.
This one: 166666666LyMNrkpwwNCdUPzvDTh2tNDLu Smiley
On my hardware it takes 2 months for 50% chance, but if you add enough long prefixes to a file and search the whole file long enough, you'll find some of them much faster.

Unfortunately, the PC I've been using has some overheating issues, so I've had to stop for a while.
Time to clean those dusty fans?

Sadly no, the two cards were bought second hand from LittleDigger who'd mined them previously and put together a PC with the two cards (see my feedback to him) - I think he somehow had overclocked them and they've slowly come to the end of their useful lifespan.

Really funny thread over here, a lot of crazy address lol  Grin Cheesy

How do people get these awesome addresses?

By creating millions of addresses in hopes that one is what they are looking for. It's a waste of time and electric in my opinion.

Actually people don't waste much time doing this, maybe few people spend days, the others just use 4 digits max and some of them here is just lucky.

10-4, Timelord2067!

Maybe I should take 10 points off my IQ as a reward?

On the other hand, it IS your wallet, one would expect that you would know it well...

For 36 of the last 48 hours have been tinkering with the settings and come up with these candidates:

Code:
123p5TocewLtcn8RGSw9bEX8mwz3XKJQKA

1888g6j43hfAJNasMZwQdk84SCiRRkv888
1AAAdKnQFZRP3ARBy2p8yjzSA6xYxTHAAA
1JJJrcXjxECVey39Eg72zHQWEDGP4eqJJJ
1MMMMGhox5YvX9AkfS5MtTxMLve2MGEMMM <--- 4 "M"'s at lead and three "M"'s at end...
1PPP5fA4ZQTDVHv4vxYhduJckQ7kYH3PPP

The first one is a deck of cards 1,2,3 ... Jack, Queen, King, Ace...

I thought with the eight eights I posted a few days ago, with these I'd add a number / letter at the leading end then at the trailing end alternately when a Wallet Address is found.

Your address (1MMMMGhox5YvX9AkfS5MtTxMLve2MGEMMM) not only has the four "M"'s at the beginning and three at the end, but a total of NINE "M"'s in all.  In my casual browsing around on my own and at this thread, I have not seen that many of the same character in any address.

The most I have ever dealt with was five "M"'s, my address at my profile has four "P"'s, and earlier today I received some BTC at my address with for "E"'s.

I do not use the vanity address generators, just personal observations.

HmmMMMmmmMm... I count ten... - Just lucky I guess?  Grin
