P2Pool is recognized to be an orphan factory. If it wasn't so everybody should use the p2pool nowaday.
For example last month on DOGE , p2pool waists about 31-36% of miner's hashpower because of high rate of orphans , high DOA.
This means ~1/3 (33%) DOGE loss ...
P2Pool is good for botnets (because the lack of personal data) and when you mine at home on a real p2pool (connected with other p2pools) a coin with high difficulty.
RockyPool is now where it is because was involved in the LTB community when nobody does/can, without playing dirty, because of rapid response, because I care and many many more reasons.
