Well the rules are different now in cryptoland. Volume = value. So for example, if it gets added to cryptsy, it reaches more people -> more volume -> value. Name successful coins that actually have a purpose at the moment? All coins are the same.

Coinmarket is fantastic, I love it personally. But it is still a minor market. I'm more talking about exchanges that have thousands, and thousands of BTC on them.

Wolong is a guy that uses his followers, and money to make markets do pretty much what he wants them to do. Love him or hate him though, there is no questioning his ability to bring the heavy hitters in with nothing more than a twitter post. [Personally I tend to believe he's actually Fontas with a new name]...lol

Edit: I wouldn't be but so worried about him with this coin, there are much easier coins to manipulate. The ones with few coins don't make the best pump/dumps. Not to say it couldn't be done... (don't want him to read this and "accept the challenge"... hahaha)
