There is a * against maximum posts of coinut... Was this inadvertent?

I think that wasn't an inadvertent.
Probably OP add * because there are different maximum post for Full Member and Sr/Hero on coinut campaign.

There are lots of signature campaigns popping up that are using escrow now, well done to all of the ones that have and it's nice seeing real services doing the advertising instead of just gambling sites too.

Yes but PrimeDice will be adding 50BTC to Bitcointalk's members wallets Tongue It is a great thing for the forum.
Spam posts can be reported and spammers will hopefully be signed out of the campaign and not paid.

They can always chose to be a bit harsh on the rules and only accept people that have quality posts by eliminating the bottom 5% of the members each week.
I don't think it's a great thing for the forum. Most spammers are easily reported and banned, yes, but a lot of them are borderline posters. They post over 300 messages each month and they semi-relate to the topic, so they don't get banned, even though most of theirs posts are shit.

I will look into GAWMiners in a bit and make the necessary changes (if any).

PrimeDice is going to be seen on every thread with 50BTC/month. They left the forum until to come back with a bigger and better campaign. This move will bring them a lot of traffic.
And a lot of extra useless posts. No offence Hilariousandco, but even if you keep an eye on people who obviously spam, there will be enough people that will be borderline posting.

What would be the difference between PD or any other campaign? At least Stunna is trying to put in measures to prevent spam and shitposting and now has someone dedicated to specifically looking out for infractions and poor quality posts which is more than any other campaigns has done. Users can also report others if they're being a nuisance or 'boderline' posting and warnings can and will be given. If they don't improve they'll just be removed from the campaign and denied payment. I and I'm sure Stunna don't want to kick anyone off but hopefully most people just won't chance it and play by the rules.

Depends on the size of the campaign. For 100 members you're going to get thousands of posts to go through every week. Maybe the most obvious spammers can be eliminated with some work, but evaluating and removing the rest of low quality posters will probably take a lot of work.

It will be a lot of work but it's something I'm prepared to do for the sake of the forum and all signature campaigns being allowed here. The bot will be good to flag up users and acquire stats but users will be largely manually kept an eye on. Also, as above users can also just report abusers and help everyone out in doing so.

@picolo me and ACCTseller were talking about the gaw miners campaign, not the primedice one. And yes, primedice will apparently have a program checking for spam, but I doubt one can really do a good job at it. At most, it will probably check to see if the posts are of a certain length and so on.

@kerimk2 yes, after some time it will be:

Campaign will be launching within a week for hero/senior/legendary members. It will then be opened for full/member/jr shortly after.

We have a new payment system that will pay per post and depending on what forum section (Posting in some forum sections will get you more per post than others). The whole process will be fully automated and payments will be made weekly. We will be able to track users characters per post and easily ban spammers from the campaign. Hilariousandco (Bitcointalk mod) will be monitoring all participants and will be ensuring the quality of the forum is not lowered by participants.

We're setting a 50 BTC/month budget on this campaign so we are looking for a lot of people to sign up.

@Gronthaing - I guess he has said that he will pay out from his own pocket (but I would not blame him if he changes his mind about this.

I am curious to see what others think of the issue.

Who will pay out from his own pocket? Primedice will pay from the company's account.

Just a couple of things though: maybe he would change his mind if it came to paying out of his own pocket, or maybe not. But it's not very relevant at the moment, just an extra. The question is whether or not he has the funds to pay for the members currently enrolled. Looking at what he said, I assume he has: "Nothing changes for those of you, who are already on the list." But instead of us or others guessing, it might be wiser to just ask him directly.

Gaw miners (Thread)
Miscellaneous: It may be necessary to add an "*" to the GAW campaign as EvilPanda has said (as quoted below) that he has not received funds to pay for participants after the end of December and will not accept re-enrollments starting immediately. I would also change the escrow to "Y" as it is technically escrowed by EvilPanda who is paying out GAW's funds in a similar way that macrotheminer is paying out bit-x's funds.

I also wanted to tell you that at the moment I don't have enough funds to run the campaign in January, so starting today I won't be re-enrolling people. Nothing changes for those of you, who are already on the list.

This is not final, I may still receive the funds tomorrow or the day after, so keep checking the thread. If nothing changes this week, the campaign will most likely close starting January 1st.
He has also been hinting that the GAW campaign will close for some time now.

Why put an asterisk if the campaign is being well managed? That should be reserved for those with actual problems. Not those that might close down a month from now, provided people get paid.
The problem is that EvilPanda is going to run out of GAW's BTC soon (likely by the end of the month) and will either need to not pay some participants, pay some participants less then they are owed or will need to payout with his own money. I am fairly certain he is not going to use his own money.

I do agree that he has run the campaign very professionally and the GAW campaign is probably the best run campaign out there.

I might have misunderstood, but I don't think there is any problem. He explicitly said that he will not be accepting re-enrollments or new members to the campaign since he only has money to pay up to the end of the month (I assume, for the members he currently has). So no one is not getting paid if they decide to stop the campaign. And I think I read at one point that even if a problem arose, he would pay out of his own pocket. Let me see if I can find that...

@tins great, GL with your investment. All we need now is BTC to go back to at least $400

@LaudaM welcome, just remember that the officially the campaign will end in 3 weeks (unless I get cash for another month)

I somehow missed out on this information. I haven't been around much due to certain events.
So how does this reflect my payment (even though it doesn't mean anything)?
I would like to know, due to the reason that I don't want to be among those members that keep bothering the campaign owner at the end of a period and making their life harder.
Its easy u'll get paid till the 30th, after that if GaW doesn't approve, evilpanda will pay out of his own pocket..😜:p
Am I right panda?? Cheesy

@troy112
I'm sure it won't come to that but in an extreme scenario - yes.

@LaudaM
The only way it can affect your payment is if we close mid term and you've been in the campaign for only 2 weeks, you'll get 50% of your monthly payment.
So, worst case scenario you'll get 0.025 for every week the campaign was running.
