i am not recommended to buy from individual on the forum, any forums unless you know that person individually. we have to trust someone before we have make a deal with him/her, so better buy from person which we already know. and i think if we don't know anything, we can buy from market exchange.
I think the only reason for to buy from individuals is that, they do not know about trusted exchanges, or they do not have any experience in any trusted exchange so they are unable to put their money into there in order to buy from there.
There are many reasons :
1 - some devs release the users' coins before they add their coins to an exchange , but some members don't have patience , so they open a trading thread .
2 - sometimes , a member want to sell or buy a big volume with a discount , so he also opens a thread .
3 - the most popular reason is to scam others , unfortunatelly , sometimes the scammers get what they want .

Major reason for which I prefer buying from individuals is just to avoid the banking process. Meeting a trader personally helps gain trust as well make trading effective.
yeah that's what i think too and buying from the sites and different trading services can cost you high with more extra charge but with the individual i can bargain too which is better

Simple.
You get to avoid those bitcoin exchange fees. If you are living in the US, you do not have to submit yourself to the KYC policy of the exchanges and you stand a chance of buying at a cheaper price than at the exchanges.

well i think only reason to buy from them is because it is faster, but that's it as it might be even a little bit risky, because exchange sites are trustful
Just there are people to whom it's more suitable. Like there is someone who playing gambling only for own fun and he doesn't care about bitcoin or another crypto, trading, investment at all. So he made some amount of BTC with gambling and it's easier to find a buyer for it to have dollars right now and without any % for exchange. I know such people and I buy bitcoins from them, because I know that bitcoin will rise soon, but they don't

Ive never try this thing though. Is it too risky to negotiate with a person than to exchange site? You better exchange with a good trust reputation here.
I think they will not hace any knowledge about that which exchange is better for their payment processor, like they will be newbie to this world of bitcoin. Or they will not want to show some of their coins to their exchange ( as the exchanges have all the data about the user) so they prefer to use individual for that reason.
I think because of the rate or they can buy for better cheap price also they are afraid to exchange if the sites is not well known better to deal in real people..

Privacy would be the primary motivator
On exchange websites, you can never know if the user has sold his account or not while on the forum, people easily detect it with the password log and change in the writing style. Here users are much more reliable and with the use of an escrow, the transactions are secure compared to exchange websites that don't even help you if the person hasn't sent you the payment in exchange for your money. Like on Paxful, a user complained about not receiving the bitcoins and the escrow on the website told him he cannot help him.

for me there is no reason i could buying bitcoin from individual in these forum because i considers buying bitcoin using exchange are more safer and low fees than buy it personally but if someone else want to sell to me his bitcoin but the rates are more low than usual exchange i would like to trade with him but still needed escrow if he want to trade with me
Yeah, usually individuals offers more price than the trading sites do. And besides, transactions in individuals are more faster than in the trading sites and you don't have a competitors when it comes to price. Also you will not need to pay some fees when transacting. The only disadvantages of trading in an individual is the safety. Many are being scammed during individual exchanges because they do not follow the safety precautions in transacting. But, this disadvantages can be countered easily, hire some Escrow that will make your transaction smooth and free from scams.

The main reason seems that people don't want to share their personal details online, neither the ID(inc. a selfie with it), passport etc.
As I mentioned before the deal person to person is the best way, sometimes safest but not always the fastest way and probably not always the cheapest way as those that sell outside want to earn more than exchanges.
Individual can give you better price then exchange site, also like its said above some sites require certain payment methods. For example someone can buy certain altcoins much easier from someone close, and give him cash for that (every country have different currency, not everyone can buy things online with their credit cards).
Also people can feel much safer when they buy from people they know, or have trust. But people should be careful to not be scammed in this process. So before you buy coins from some individual you don`t know, check first their trust rating here, if not here ask people who traded with him about their experience.

And no any personal documents are needed for even big purchase.
In my view every trader have their own profit margin. So it gives the buyer few option to go for the one with better profit and convenient with.
