The main reason for the drop is geopolitical events in China especially causing the markets to drop due to continued negativity people give up their positions. Secondly, another major cause is the supply and demand aspect.Whenever sellers volume increase price starts rising & whenever the buyers volume increases then the price starts dropping , simple as per law of economics. I dont see any other reason part from these both, still i would like to buy on dips as many as position i can afford. No matter what the price does long term benefits are huge in holding the bitcoin, thats what my analysis says.
The reason for the lowering of the price is very simple. This is due to the sale of people on their Bitcoins holding panic selling made of noobs. So the price of bitcoins is falling. And this is a good timing for professionals who use bitcoins because they can buy cheap bitcoins.

No doubt the demand and supply of bitcoin affecting every aspect of bitcoin marketprice i guess every thing in the market affect the price of bitcoin but also it has a lot of exchanges that affecting every exchanges has different price so i guess the main thing here is the demand of bitcoin and also the supply of bitcoin in the world. Of course because users sell bitcoin, when all or most users sell bitcoin then the price automatically drop because bitcoin using decentralization system that is all depends on the needs of the market.
yes i agree it will fall automatically when bitcoin holders sell their bitcoin . Like now adays bitcoin surpass in $5000 it suddenly fluctuating because of some reason from the market which is eagerly sell of some holders. but as we see bitcoin value still increasing .maybe there a lot of holders keep fighting for the bigwave . Cause as a prediction that there's a possibility that bitcoin rocketed in October end.

Bitcoin prices may fall due to a number of factors, but mainly due to a group of investors selling it at a lower price than the market in large quantities.
The most common reason i know why the price of bitcoin drops is when there is a bad news, yes a bad news. If there will be a bad news then it is common to see people are reacting to it and they are agreeing with the bad news and it is resulting for the market to collapse because when the majority sells their bitcoin then it will lead for having a panic selling scenario which will make the price of bitcoin drops and if the panic selling will continue then it will become worse.
When sellers outnumber the buyers, expect the price to drop. The law of supply and demand dictates when the price will fluctuate. Let's say there are 50 sellers versus 10 buyers, expect the sellers to compete with each other by lowering their asking price - and once the buyer bites it, the market price will close at that mark. Anyway, you'll get the logic eventually...
it simple because some altcoin have potential is going up and more investor is transfer to altcoin..this is strategy of coin to reach there cap and became popular...so there doing is drop there price to persuading people to buy there coin if more people purchase this coin and reach there cap this will become in the higher price.....

These are the reasons why bitcoins price is dropping or going up in other words, pumping. :1. The volatility of the market.
2. Bitcoin's price is affected when alts are pumping. It is directly inproportional to alts. When alts go up bitcoin will go down. When bitcoin goes up, alts will go down.

In my opinion, news and gossip are the big reason why the price of bitcoin drops. Remember when China announce to banned all ICOs and bitcoin exchanges in China ? It makes the price of bitcoin fall so hard. If good news appear about cryptocurrency, i'm sure the bitcoin price will increase.

many factors could be the value of bitcoin down. one example is the global influence of some countries. simpelnya what happens after the ban on china. value dropped dramatically. that's one factor that can make bitcoin value down. and vice versa with the increasing effect on the bitcoin value.
