Anyone know why the Silkcoin network (old wallet, not new SLK wallet) stopped?  I have a lot of coins stuck staking and the network has been stopped since November 4th.

Sometimes it seems to make a few blocks, but i think it is best to consider the chain dead. I've send you a pm and we will see what we can work out.

No i could care less about this project.   Failed ico.  Would like my bitcoins back if there will be any extended delay on release.   Are my funds not in escrow as promised? Or did i misread the escrowed ico thing?

Can I send dontigua the amount of btc he put into the ICO and then the silkteam can transfer his owed amount of DSLK to my account? That way we both win.

I don't think that should be any problem. To be honest i thought of it myself but i'll let you have the cake Grin.
Its up to dontigua to agree though...

This is a new thing now: community refunds!!!
I think I've seen it all now
 Shocked

I was think of making the same offer but was afraid he might have 10BTC+ in

Maybe we should set up a pooling account and slice the pie haha  Grin

wish I had funds available, but kinda short these days

I wonder what his answer will be  Grin Wink Cheesy

Yes I fully understand what this project is and I could care less when it is released...even if next July.....as I know they will not release a piece of junk and try to play catch up. They will release a solid product that is fully functional from day one. I can/will wait for gold instead of settling for bronze.

almost every ico have delay's... it's "normal".
but yeah, no communication is a problem... they should at least explain what happened.

but chill guys, wait a little before you start crying and asking for your money back... it's a big launch and a small team, one day isnt big deal.

Sorry about the lack of communication.  Please wait for an official announcement but yes, there has been issues and a release delay.  I am (or was if I don't get kick off) on the dev team and agree that we should have communicated our issues earlier.  Days ago,  I suggested that we let the community know about our issues and potential release delay but was overruled and/or ignored.  This is no way to conduct business and gain trust.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Orestes please tell me again there is no issues with the team.. i honestly thought higher of you.

And you will even higher after this weekend. I know why you are upset though. It is because you want this project to succeed, like we all do. It is because of this that you dared to invest, just like us.

It is not the increased risk of loss that grieves you, it is the possible loss of the project. But that is a fallacy! The team is very much joined together and we will continue as usual. Now the production process that Silk Network has used because if its small size clearly is outdated and needs to be transformed. Much in the style MCDev pointed out.

What has happened to use multiple times is that we had a public failure, much like this. But because community membery really do believe in this project, instead of forsaking it, they join in and help where they can. It's how I joined, and some others. Where it breaks, it grows stronger. The project needs more capable men, we always do, but we will pull through regardless. It just might take a bit longer... brick by brick.

I think a big problem with this project is too many CEO's (when referring to project direction and updates on the forums.) There needs to be a single community manager to communicate with the community. Spencer, being the lead developer, nor anyone else who is not the community manager, should not be coming on the forums with updates as it will (has) lead to miscommunication and (unintended) misinformation.

Everyone has a job title for a reason. They need to be allowed to focus on that specific job and not worry about what is going on here.

All suggestions will be taken into consideration, everything will be absorbed and carefully weighed out. I'm sure the whole team, including the developers feel the weight of a delayed decision. It shouldn't have happened, to this we can all agree. We will improve.

due to low vol. SILK moves to 10th page of bittrex, where almost every coin going to be delisted shortly

And yes quite frustrating as well, as soon as Silkcoin was launched on bittrex it was abandoned to 'finish' darksilk. The ico started and halfway through talk about a name change and major partnerships which were never announced or even hinted at.  Why are you guys trying to kill your own work? Every investor not in your tight knit group of 10 people that posts here are chastized off this forum or deleted for relevant questions. Feel realy stupid for getting sucked into this.

Silkcoin (SILK) and Silk (SLK) are 2 different things.  Silk (SLK) was never abandoned, it is still being worked on.  They didn't say anything about killing the network.  They talked about changing the name due to the word "Silk" being associated with bad past reputation.  This team has always delivered.  Timing may be off but it's coding...  shit happens.

Man I hope you didn't invest in ethereum only to have to wait 2 years.  It's been a couple days.  They will deliver DSILK, which is what you invested in.  The choice is up to you whether or not you stick with it upon release.  You will get what you put in for your ICO, which is DSILK.

There are a lot of us who have waited the 2 years for this moment.  How long have you been here?  A month?  2 months?

Rome wasn't built in a day bro and that's what these guys are building...!!  Open your mind up a bit with the possibilities of a 2 coin system creating a stable currency.

Abandoned?

Work has been done to Silk, that is why it moved up from version 1.0.0.0 to version 1.0.1.1

The ICO funds were held in a 4/6 MultiSig address and at the end of the ICO, funds were distributed accordingly for work and time committed to the project.

So the funds were placed in escrow to only be given to the development team? What is the point of that? Why not just use your personal wallet? What is the point of an escrow in this case?

Why has nobody answered my question about the escrowed ico funds? Were the ico funds not escrowed, because i swear before investing into this i read and was told that ico funds would be held in escrow.

interest seems to be in darksilk, when that launches hopefully the interest will spread back to silk coin, hopefully name will be changed anyway

I've started staking the old silkcoin back in January and I've soon swapped for the new one when it was available. It's an everyday support for the silk network when you keep staking almost 24/7.
Clearly there has been some serious lack of communication. I'm on a wait and see mode from now on.
Important updates should not be kept private
