I think it is necessary to be careful about market, 3 years is too long for crypto - you should consider the need for correct your portfolio.
the right way to benefit from crypto, in 5 years you can be a millionaires. but are you not interested in Ripple, Zcash, and also MKR? I suggest that you include them on your investment list.

Goal would be to have a value around 100 - 300k USD in 5 years, which I think is really possible if everything works out well.
What are your opinions on this portfolio ?
p.s. Passive income coins (PoS or dividends) will absolutely help you towards your goal if you aim for the longterm.

Smaller cap coin portfolio should stay around 20%, I think I'll mix it up like this :

This is much better. I would personally got a bit deeper into stuff like QTUM/NEO/WAVES since they all offer passive income, are big enough to not fail but not quite there yet in terms of market cap. Some altcoins that have been mentioned have been on my watchlist as well like STRAT, OMG, WAVES...

Would certainly split 50% between BTC and ETH. More into bitcoin due to ETH scaling issue that has yet to be properly addressed.
Another 40% into 10 altcoins including Dash, Litecoin but also more promising coins like Zcoin, Decred or Ubiq... and leave 5-10% in fiat ;-)

I think you choose a good one for your fortofolio. It does not matter about the percentage of each coin you will buy but choose the good coin is more important.
I think your portfolio looks good for a fairly steady growth, nothing majorly risky (Bar Verge) but that's just because I can't see why its worth what it is now, I bought mass for like 0.002 7 months ago and now its 100x that because of Mcaffee.
Sold out at 8-15c in batches and don't regret it at all, BUT it could still rise if people adopt it and they actually do their Wraith protocol.

It's a useful chart for a long-term holding as you mentioned for 3-5 years. If I would have to invest 20000 USD, then I would add Cardano and Stellar Lumens in my portfolio including Tronix.

Split the investment between BTC and ETH (should be a safe bet) one the one site and some more speculative altcoins for a higher profit.Some good ones are:

Buy Ethereum. IN the next 5 years, people will find that bitcoin can not provide what they want and what they need and they will betray bitcoin. 21 million coins are not enough for 7 billion people around the world. Buy ethereum. The technology inside it will make the world a better place. Smart contract will help us to avoid many scammers
You should divide half the bitcoin so that you will have words after 5 years and half left to invest in the top coinmarketcap on you will be profitable in the next 5 years. Good luck
Try to add deep union on your portofolio. Buy some deep onion then register for airdrop. You could get more coin from airdrop if you hold deep union. Vertcoin also looked good at the moment and probably for next 2-3 years. Vertcoin is pioneer for lyra2 and it is asic proove
The suggestions sounds good, however I would be careful in choosing these rather small projects and especially ICOs for the long term portfolio, as there is no guarantee that they will survive these 5 years. It also depends on what you are going to do. I mean, if you are going to keep an eye on it, or you are looking for something to buy, leave and check in few years to see millions. I would also suggest you checking out Lisk maybe. It is great for sure for the short term, as the profits are very probable, however they may keep on raising in the future as well.
