....the main weapons of mass destruction unleashed by the Siberian eruptions included enormous quantities of the very familiar climate-changing gas carbon dioxide. The great concern of scientists today is that the potential global temperature changes projected over the next century approach those that took place 252 million years ago

Nonsense.  What makes your copy and paste suspicious is it's confidence and certainty as to cause and effect.  Science is replete with uncertainty.  A quick look finds that ....

.... you've selected a causative theory which confirms the conclusion desired.

However it appears much more likely that simple microbes, not the Siberian eruptions, caused the mess 252 million years ago.  Do I know that for sure?  Nope.  Nobody does.

I believe this to be BEYOND suspicious and insanely crazy to be that confident  Cheesy. That is why I highlighted it in bold.

I agree 100%.
I would start with forbidden technology called "using the brain".
We'll fix any and all comments of that sort.  We'll just send you and all the children to school...

Microbes seem to me more likely to cause a giant event than volcanoes (much less man and his proclivities.)

I and someone were arguing about turning CO2 into green slime a while ago, and probably on this thread.  Seems like the kind of thing we could argue about.  My thesis was that there was a significant danger that something would figure out how to digest it.

Regardless, look around for Freeman Dyson's presentation on youtube if you've not seen it already.  It's interesting.  He was interested in CO2 before it was fashionable it seems (which does not surprise me) and is skeptical about it true danger.  He was indicating that plant growth (natural or engineered) might be part of a solution...to the extent that there is actually a problem.

One of the interesting things that Dyson said was that in a patch of corn will find and gobble up all the available CO2 in 5 hours IIRC.  I forgot the specifications on the height of the column though.  Anyway, I did not realize that plants are that efficient.

though i believe that humans do cause climate to be affected, i also believe that our beloved benefactors are throwing climate change burden onto humanity through selected science sponsorships and msm. its something like 'born sinner' of 21st century - same old enslavement mechanism used by vatican centuries ago still kicking strong today, just under different flag thats all. can be easily fixed through change of financial system as priority number one, education, strict efficiency and quality control regulations for every product produced on earth. also, forbidden technologies finally need to be allowed and not supressed like today. give or take few decades and we can be neutral no matter of population increase. more intelligent people tend to give birth to less offspring - so let the education thrive!

The fraction of species now at risk of extinction in the near future includes over one quarter of all species being monitored including mammals, reptiles, birds, and fish.

The potential losses of species are on a scale that is rivaled by only a few events in the last 500 million years of Earth’s history. Five times during that span, the majority of species on the planet vanished in a short interval of time. Scientists have now identified the triggers of two of those events: an asteroid that struck Earth 66 million years ago and wiped out dinosaurs and much more, and massive eruptions of volcanoes underneath Siberia that decimated the world 252 million years ago.

While the triggers for these two calamities were different, detailed study of what unfolded in the past reveals a common mode of destruction that is relevant to understanding our predicament today: in each case, mass extinction resulted from large and rapid environmental change on a global scale. Indeed, the main weapons of mass destruction unleashed by the Siberian eruptions included enormous quantities of the very familiar climate-changing gas carbon dioxide. The great concern of scientists today is that the potential global temperature changes projected over the next century approach those that took place 252 million years ago

Mother Jones: Global Warming Is Shrinking Our Kids…

The weather pattern known as El Niño could be stunting kids’ growth—even years after the extreme storms abate, a new study finds. Researchers at Johns Hopkins’ Bloomberg School of Public Health, led by assistant professor of medicine and international health William Checkley, say they have conducted the first study on the long-term health consequences of El Niño weather systems. According to the paper published today in BioMed Central, children born around the time of the severe 1997-’98 El Niño living in coastal Peru, one of the regions hardest hit by the weather pattern, are significantly shorter for their age than children born before El Niño hit. […]

The team measured the height, weight, and fat, and muscle of a random sample of 2,095 children born between 1991 and 2001 in Tumbes, Peru—a city on the northwestern coast. A decade after the extreme ’97 El Niño, in November and December of 2008 and 2009, they found that, on average, the children born during and shortly after El Niño were shorter and had less lean mass, or body weight minus fat, than children born before the event.

Now what will happen with those giant guillotines? Hopefully they will be recycled... While gigantic plastic balloons are sent up the air for their free worldwide internet connection... 20 of those giants PER DAY

Nothing is free, my friend.  If it seems that way it would be wise to open your eyes extra wide and expand your area of analysis a bit.

If a product is free then you are the product. I understand.

You are the product, the NSA is the customer?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
When a giant like google tries it is not cost effective. That is why it only makes sense if everyone on the planet get taxed while paying poor countries from developing their industries.

Give them credit for at least not just making up the data (or algorithms to 'correct' it) like the real 'climate scientists' who get their funding through the U.N.

I am not against alternative energy to contrary. I love what electric cars like Tesla brings to the market... Google tried and failed for now AND did not hide or lied about it.. If they could set aside 5 billion just for R&D who knows what kind of amazing steps in alternative energy we could get. Facebook spent more that 10B on buying a smart phone app... They could have looked into Gates proposal instead? Nah.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaF-fq2Zn7I

Realistically I should be against all electric cars too as all those batteries are future ticking stinking bombs. Some people have their heart in the right place, but the technology is just not there yet, so you get those giant bird guillotines, or that mega solar cooker that fries migrating birds in mid air, etc. Now they are coming with even worse "solutions", like fixing the climate by a $10000-per-article-moron who can't even point to a URL helping him win an argument on a forum. They know better. we the peasants know nothing. Google knew better.

That's really not sustainable and it's not good for the planet.

Can't they use paper bags?
