There 7 cryptocurrency that are legal in thailand , its Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Ripple, Litecoin, and Stellar. They also regulate the ICO. Now ICO can't be traded with fiat anymore and there is a fee for license.

What do you think about this regulations? I think its fair enough and i do think in few months 7 of this coin value could be increasing if more country has the similar regulations such as thailand.

It’s interesting that they limited it to these 7 only. I suspect that they will eventually increase that number to add more of the reputable cryptocurrencies. It will stifle the progress of this industry in their country if they hold back the rest of these. Still it is positive that they are declaring some cryptocurrencies as legal. This shows that they recognize the importance of the new technology.

Well the legalization of bitcoin and some other altcoins in Thailand is a welcome development, and the regulations of cryptocurrency is also good but that will effect the decentralization of the crypto which is aimed at making crypto a free assets free from third party involvement. But that will boost the confidence of the people on crypto.

Regulation for cryptocurrency? For some people this not good, because eliminating the cryptocurrency characteristic 'anonymous'. But for me and my country, i think this technology like blockchain will bring the bright future of economy in my country and esspecially will complicate officials for trying corruption  Grin

In Russia, this issue is very difficult, but nevertheless, the government understands that it is impossible to prohibit decentralized digital systems, which means that it is worthwhile to send activity to the sphere of legalization and legislative regulation of crypto-currencies. Wink
How is this manifested? The fact that the Russian media periodically have discussions about the use of cryptocurrencies does not mean the government's desire to recognize cryptocurrencies. Fiat is one of the tools by which any government keeps all citizens under control. Do you think Russia's authoritarian authorities will agree to share their power? Lol!

Those regulation just want to control over the decentralization of cryptos. I had a bad impact throughout the market and still making it bad even now.
Regulations or legislation issues are far from the main idea behind the creation of  cryptocurrency. All these want to defeat the core mandate of cryptocurrency that is based on anonymity. On the other hand,it may speed up the acceptance of cryptocurrency.

I think that it would only encourage the usage of more cryptos and it's a great development from the stage when most of the countries earlier were in the idea of banning cryptos completely.
I think it's not gonna make any big diffrents, and im positif the regulation its because they relise that banning cryptos completely its imposible.

What crypto need its keep inovating and bring real use case. Im sure with that we gonna moon again

Well the real deal with regulation is that some countries just want to control cryptocurrency because they see that cryptocurrency can be used for illegal activities. I can see the need for it in order to avoid crypto used especially in drugs and money laundering.
I would say that some governments have banned the crypto and the legalization of crypto is easy if there is the option of regulation. The government wants the economy to operate at a good level and therefore do not want any sought of illegal activities in the economy.

AS a result of that, many have banned the coin. I think regulation will be good and that it will allow the technology to expand and many people would be able to make use of it.

At least they're legalizing seven cryptos and ICO instead of banning it. In the source it says that ICO tokens can't be traded with fiat, but not with 7 accepted cryptocurrencies so people can still traded ICO tokens with those cryptos and then exchange it into fiat.

if a country only limit 7 coins only, then the value of the coin will surely rise, but if only 7 coins in legalkan, how about the other coin? with these restrictions will instead create a lack of innovation and creativity, going forward because of restrictions on restrictions it will create a setback and saturation because there are only 7 such coins

Yes, you are right
how to fate with other coins. because some current coins are very much used by people. and it is very difficult for them to trade if they do not find another coin.

rEgulating cryptocurrency means centralization and this is the one big interest why people in this community dont want this to happen, but i believe that this is the only way for us to become freely engaging with our profiteering, freedom from being banned and can manage legally what we wanted to do.maybe its the rightime for us to open our eyes and mind about the benefits of being legal

Who cares? Even if you live in that country are you going to follow all those regulations to the letter? You are falling into their trap by thinking you need to do things as the governments tells you to enter in the market of cryptocurrencies, just buy bitcoin and then use that bitcoin to buy whatever you want that is the way things have been and will continue to be in this market.

The Japan Finance Agency recently banned anonymous cryptocurrencies such as Monero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC), and Dash (DASH)!
Monero, Dash, and Zcash are becoming increasingly popular online in the black market. To prevent money laundering and other criminal activities, Japan banned these cryptocurrencies!

Its a good stepping stone for their country but I think they not choose 7 coins only because theres a lot of coins that can use too. Anyway it's a good news that thailand is embracing about cryptocurrencies and its a nice start that they regulate some coins.

Hell yeah, It is surely going to rise if people really started to take it that much serious. Imagine people are not only using it for trading but for their survival. Everyone has to use these virtual currencies to make their daily transactions which is also having a wide market. This is surely going to make it so big that nothing can be compared with virtual currencies again.

Their regulation about ICOs is quite good so there can be no longer ICOs that are free to do it on their country.

This can't fully eliminate those ICOs that are not sincere with what they are working with but it can reduce the number of ICO generation as a whole.
Regulations really help this market to be better because we all know most of the ICOs are just Scam and this moved by Thailand is really great, I just hope more coins will be legal on their place so people can still have more option for their investments.

These are some pretty weird regulations. Why only 7 cryptocurrencies that are able to e traded against ICO tokens? I would like to see some of the logic behind why this particular decision is made, to be honest.

This doesn't really affect bitcoin itself much, since it's more about the regulation of these crypto tokens and securities than anything else.

Most countries already have pretty mature regulation in terms of bitcoin exchanges, by the way. These are not an issue at the moment. But a lot of the countries are actually only recently coming out with new regulations regarding the ICO tokens, which is exactly what Thailand is addressing here.

Well, this is a good move by Thailand's government. Plus, this regulation of cryptocurrencies is acceptable and expected because they are the best coins on the market in terms of characteristics (Price, Market cap, Volume...) and it is certain that this is a good start from this country, and hope that the other governments will recognize the cryptocurrencies in the near future, and I am pretty sure that this will happen after some period,t is true that this is a difficult time due to the market in bad volatility. and there are many problems that led to this widespread decline in the majority of cryptcurrencies.

It will be a good thing if it happens, many people thinks that regulations and legalization of bitcoin or cryptocurrency will push it towards centralization but that's not true. With the present legalization, hopefully a solution to excessive ICO created will reduce, there will be a solution or penalty for all cryptocurrency hackers or thiefs.
