Maybe you have a different motivation or you're doing it wrong on how to get merits. I would say a good example for us a Filipino is @theyoung or as I have read
Hero, He was not active in almost 3 months and just got back and still he got 32merits additional even if he doesn't post much(correct me if I'm wrong), his merit is more than he posted on this forum. He could be the first Filipino to earn a full 1000 merit in history in BTT, if he continue to post more. He is like a mentor to us all here. He doesn't buzz anything like posting or bragging I have now 100+ merits, 200+ merits, +300 merits or 500+ merits, he is humble IMHO.
Well, I can't question @theyoung the ways on how he get his Merits, you can just look into his post history, most of it was from his starter threads in which I lack. Most of my Merits compared to him is purely just by replying on discussions.
Besides, we have different ways on getting all of it done, the only thing is we get the same result.
While building yourself to become a DT, why don't you just start to support the existing Filipinos on DT1 which is dabs and theyoungmillionaire. Ain't nothing will support each other than we Filipinos right? Hate comparing to other nation, but still, I need to compare because they are one united on voting on their fellow countrymen. United we stand, united we fall as per nations unity.
Being quite about them doesn't mean I don't support them, it's just I don't have to, they're already on the top and they also have the support of the big ones. Maybe I could cheer up on crwth or silent26, we're on different leagues so it's better to stay from the line where you fit most. Then after you join them you can finally fit in.
I'm now on my may on building my profile to backed up my post on beginner and help. This might be selfish but for some reason I intend to make it to the top just like them and keep on going. I'm pretty active on giving away Merits to users that deserves them, so that's my main goal.
