Some of his other threads seem to be copy-pasted as well. I checked only one after I saw your reply in his most recent topic in Beginners & Help. I doubt this user has any intentions to change his behavior.

The quoted post below is plagiarized from https://www.researchgate.net/post/Will_Bitcoins_vanished_in_one_day_when_we_woke_up

Is there a situation where we woke up one day and found out all our bitcoins vanished?

Blockchain or DLT has a simple definition where it is designed to solve double spending problem which represent a unique transaction that are solve through the computers in a network.

Blockchain is in fact considered as a collection of
transactions in a block that is store in a peer to peer basis and each of its block is linked with the SHA-256 algorithm, timestamp network to solve the double-spending problem.

This principle also introduced the reality of immutable transaction feature to the computing world. So, having understand such definition, is our believed that this would be immutable as it claims or anyone has proven that such immutable resistance is exist as of today ?

This guy's reply just a few replies down which is literally just copy-pasted. I just noticed while I was scrolling.

Introduction

This is the core implementation of GNTL. It is open source and completely free to use without restrictions, except for those specified in the license agreement below. There are no restrictions on anyone creating an alternative implementation of GNTL that uses the protocol and network in a compatible manner.

As with many development projects, the repository on Github is considered to be the "staging" area for the latest changes. Before changes are merged into that branch on the main repository, they are tested by individual developers in their own branches, submitted as a pull request, and then subsequently tested by contributors who focus on testing and code reviews. That having been said, the repository should be carefully considered before using it in a production environment, unless there is a patch in the repository for a particular show-stopping issue you are experiencing. It is generally a better idea to use a tagged release for stability.

GNTL is a private, secure, untraceable, decentralised digital currency. You are your bank, you control your funds, and nobody can trace your transfers unless you allow them to do so.

Privacy: GNTL uses a cryptographically sound system to allow you to send and receive funds without your transactions being easily revealed on the blockchain (the ledger of transactions that everyone has). This ensures that your purchases, receipts, and all transfers remain absolutely private by default.

Security: Using the power of a distributed peer-to-peer consensus network, every transaction on the network is cryptographically secured. Individual wallets have a 25 word mnemonic seed that is only displayed once, and can be written down to backup the wallet. Wallet files are encrypted with a passphrase to ensure they are useless if stolen.

Untraceability: By taking advantage of ring signatures, a special property of a certain type of cryptography, GNTL is able to ensure that transactions are not only untraceable, but have an optional measure of ambiguity that ensures that transactions cannot easily be tied back to an individual user or computer.

Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin has bloomed since 2009, and still going upward.

Some commercial banks, including some investment banks, introduce their own cryptocurrencies for the purposes of settlements and transactions with certain financial institutions and corporations. At the moment, central banking is not interested in cryptocurrencies, but this may change in the future.

And it will definitely do.

The Bitcoin price has fallen once again to the level around $47,000

Macroeconomic environment depresses Bitcoin
Meanwhile, other factors also point to the prolongation of the correction. The Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), supposedly one of the biggest drivers of the current bull market, is trading at a discount of -11.92%.

As to why this is, analysts currently seem to agree that the macroeconomic environment plays a significant role. Bitcoin’s correlation with the S&P500 recently rose to its highest level since the March 2020 crash.

Drop in crypto is large but it’s small adjusted by vol. Bitcoin has been relatively resilient. Issue with expecting much further downside in stocks is rates are the driver, and bonds are stretched here.

A bullish factor could continue to be institutions and large investors over the long term, as well as overall sentiment in the Bitcoin market. Lex Moskovski, CEO of Moskovski Capital, shared a chart showing that the illiquid supply of Bitcoin continues to increase.

Strong holders are ramping up their positions despite the sell-off. Bitcoin is holding up against the macro spectacularly well.

This is also supported by data from IntoTheBlock. According to the analytics firm, the total volume of large transactions (>$100,000) has increased over the past 7 days, reaching an on-chain volume of $173.16 billion, which IntoTheBlock says is a clear sign that institutions continue to buy BTC.

Bitcoin is ever secured and reliable.

To remove ants, bai must first spray low-toxicity, long after-effect period, and low-smelling contact insecticides in places where they often enter, such as wall gaps, furniture gaps, refrigerator compressors, and pools. Side gaps, heating pipes and wall contact, wire and wall contact, etc. The degree of aggregation is highest in the cabinet. Next, put the poisonous bait in a medicine bottle cap or a small plastic box, and place it in a place where the ants often move, four or five piles per room. In order to avoid future troubles, the poison bait should be sprayed enough at a time, usually after 7-10 days, it will be effective.

Bearish Engulfing Pattern
In an upward trend where sellers outnumber buyers, a bearish engulfing pattern develops. This behavior is reflected by a long real red body that engulfs a tiny real green body. The trend shows that sellers are back in charge and that the price will continue to decrease.

Bullish Engulfing Pattern
When buyers outpace sellers, an engulfing trend on the market’s bullish side takes place, represented in the graph by a long real green body that engulfs a small real red body. The price could head higher with bulls having gained some leverage.

Bearish Evening Star
An evening star is identified by a topping pattern and the last candle in the pattern opening below the small real body of the day before (can be red or green). Two days back, the last candle closes deep into the real body. The pattern indicates that buyers have stalled and sellers are taking control – Suggesting that more selling may occur.

And so it goes on throughout the article...

Truth is: You would have sold long before BTC reached even its 2017 ATH of 20k USD.Seeing things in hindsight makes you feel dumb, but the real truth is that back then nobody saw it coming. Only few, very few people really believed in BTC as a store of value or whatever. If you could go back in time and told people in 2010 that in 2021 hedge funds, S&P500 companies and even insurance companies are buying billions worth of BTC at 40k+ USD and using it as a store of value, everybody would just see you as the tin-foil hat person, laugh at you and call you mad and delusional.

This is the reason why I generally feel bad for those "two pizzas are now worth X millions" posts, as if the people who traded BTC for goods in the old days could predict the future. As such, the moment your holdings were at 10x your initial investment, very, very likely you would have sold as well, or just bought that awesome thing you could suddenly acquire with magic internet money.

That being said, do not punish yourself with the "if I had" thinking. Invest what you can and hold while you can. Taking profits is not a bad idea as well.

2017 was when retail users adopted Bitcoin. Institutions are governments were against it. Bitcoin moved from $1K to $20K

2020/21 is when institutions are adopting Bitcoin. If 10% of cash held by Fortune 500 gets converted to BTC, it's price will be $300K.

And in the next cycle, in 2024/25, governments will realize the importance of Bitcoin. Central bank reserves will have bitcoins in it. This is when we will hit $1M.

BTC buy low sell high, short term trade is it possible ?

I was wondering how to make some good profit from buying and selling bitcoins daily. I have seen that the prices on exchanges like coinbase, Binance MXC Exchange etc. are low compared to those on localbitcoins. Buying from one and selling to another wont make me rich but would bring me some extra cash i could use at the moment . One thing i can not understand , if i buy from exchange and post my it to localbitcoins and wait for a buyer , during the time i wait for this buyer if the price changes (drops) i lose right ? But how do they make it risk free , is there a guide any advice would be appreciated.

A new wave of institutional investors based primarily in North America has supported the current market.

In the crypto world. the term institutional investors meant a variety of crypto quantum companies, bitcoin miners and early investors. The composition of market participants gradually changed this year to include a new group considered by the traditional financial world to be institutional investors.

The common mistake that beginners make is to follow investment advice from people they don't even know that they read on social media or on bitcoin forums. The internet is littered with advice for crypto trading, much of which is from individuals trying to talk up the coins they hold themselves. These coins can even be part of organized pump and dump schemes in some instances. If you are going to follow someone's advice, make sure they are real experts in their field and not strangers distributing advice while hiding online under a pseudonym.

I read many opinions from different traders and investors (So called whales). Here is what I think about reasons for the growth of Bitcoin.
One of the reasons for this growth may be a series of statements from various large companies that announced that they have made significant investments in Bitcoin. After these announcements, the BTC trading volume doubled, and the total market capitalization increased significantly. Wall Street started and continues to break all Bitcoin trading records. The first to announce a large capital investment in Bitcoin was the London based investment company Ruffer LLP. In January company announced that it had allocated $ 744 million for investments in BTC (only 2.5% of the company's total fund). The second investment giant for BTC is American Express. The company's investments managing partner (American Express Ventures) has doubled its initial $ 17 million investment in FalxonX, a cryptocurrency trading platform for institutional investors. The last and perhaps most significant whale was Eric Peters, CEO of One River Asset Management. He set up a separate firm (One River Digital) to make an initial investment in cryptocurrency of $ 600 million, and in early 2021 to increased that investment to $ 1 billion. Peters secretly bought Bitcoin until November 2020 for lower cost without alerting his fellow investors. This suggests that Peters understands when to buy and when to sell. Also I read that a group of investors related to Peters have their finger on the pulse and are ready to invest assets worth about one trillion dollars. If that will really happen we might see the BTC price close to $100 000. Also not the last reason for the growth of Bitcoin was the recent hacking of the Livecoin exchange, on which by the way, the price of BTC rose altogether to the crazy levels of $ 450 000 for 1 bitcoin, but as it turned out later, such an increase was not caused by the increased demand for BTC, but by the exchange hack only.
Thank you for reading and have a nice day.

Peters is the investment industry’s canary in a coal mine. His private weekly investment newsletter, Weekend Notes, is read by a group of investors who between them have their fingers on the purse strings of $1 trillion worth of assets. What Peters does is mirrored by others.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Harvard professor Kenneth Rogoff had strong sentiments about the future of Bitcoins. According to Professor Rogoff, governments’ regulation of cryptocurrencies is undoubtedly coming.

Professor Rogoff is a former Chief Economist at the International Monetary Fund and identifies as a Bitcoin skeptic. RePEc ranks him among its top ten economists. Although he confirms his statements as speculative, he justifiably questions the end-game of the continued rise in Bitcoins’ price and popularity. Ultimately, the Bitcoin bubble will burst, and there will be no use for it in the long-run.

The Harvard professor continues to share his theory that states will not allow Bitcoin to take over despite its rising popularity. Ideally, Bitcoins’ price will continue to rise, surpassing the traditional currency and maintain its pseudo-anonymous transactions. In that case, the likely results are failed states and the collapse of the current monetary systems. However, Rogoff affirms that there is no way governments will allow this to happen.

What is your opinion on this?

Are investors and proponents properly considering the risk associated with lending stablecoins?

Impressive interest rates and the extensibility of decentralized financial (DeFi) products have helped fuel impressive growth in the sector over the past year. Lending products in DeFi currently offer superior interest rates to many traditional financial products, which has attracted a number of proponents and lots of excitement about the potential opportunity. The current situation in DeFi can be compared with ICO craze and the development of other attractive investment opportunities in that the risk associated with such high potential rewards tends to be downplayed in favor of the excitement surrounding such attractive investment opportunities.

DeFi may not be fueled by aggressive speculation and market manipulation in the same way ICO’s were, but the impressive returns offered by DeFi products likely stem from systemic risks that are not always appreciated by investors. Vitalik Buterin recently conducted a poll on Twitter seeking opinions on why lending digital assets can offer such superior returns:

Questions:

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
It was on the month of June 2017 when I first heard about cryptocurrencies from one of my closest friend. During class and thesis discussion, we talked about our dream of owning automatic watches and he introduced to me this website. He told me that he was participating into campaign signatures and he was earning money weekly by contributing knowledge to the forum. After he introduced me to this website, I joined this forum knowing NOTHING but only earning money in my mind. I did not know what cryptocurrencies are and about the technology behind it. I quickly messaged various campaign signatures if I could participate as a newbie without even knowing anything about cryptocurrencies!

After a couple of weeks, I felt that I had this obligation to know and explore the wonders of cryptocurrencies as I read that the blockchain technology revolutionized on how payment works using cryptocurrencies. Until this day, I am still at the learning process and I strive each day to learn more about cryptocurrencies so I can share my knowledge to aspiring investors or members in this forum.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
The truth is, I never actually bought any bitcoin using my money but I mostly earned them from the campaign signatures I participated way back in 2017. Unfortunately, living with a family of 5 with a single dad was a difficult time for me. Most of my earnings were converted into books that I have been using until now so I can at least help my dad in mitigating his expenses. Instead of using the money he receives from his job to buy my materials, he can allocate it to my younger brothers and for our daily needs. In a way, I indirectly help my dad while I also support myself into buying all the required study materials.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
It was on June 2017 when I previously found out about cryptographic forms of money from one of my dearest companion. During class and proposal conversation, we discussed our fantasy about claiming programmed watches and he acquainted with me this site. He revealed to me that he was partaking into crusade marks and he was acquiring cash week by week by contributing information to the gathering. After he acquainted me with this site, I joined this gathering knowing NOTHING however just acquiring cash in my psyche. I was immediately intrigued, yet since I'm a wary individual essentially it required some investment to bounce on board. From that point forward I've been following the crypto showcases day by day and it's become a second activity.

2. When and why did you buy your first bitcoin?
I generally earned them from the mission marks I partook path in 2017. Sadly, living with a group of 5 with a single parent was a troublesome time for me. The majority of my income were changed over into books that I have been utilizing up to this point so I can at any rate help my father in relieving his costs. I was associated with a ton of tasks on the Internet, so I couldn't help suspecting that it was not awful to build my portfolio somewhat more. I bought an entirety of 0.006BTC worth $111.10 when bitcoin cost was $1200 in 2016 or somewhere in the vicinity, the motivation behind why I got it was the reason for utilizing it in ponzi plans which toward the end I lost it until I found a real methods of utilizing bitcoin.

I hate text spinners, they're very hard to catch. So it feels great to catch a high-ranking shitposters again!

I found the one above when I was searching for plagiarism evidence on a Newbie bounty spammer who used words that typically come from a text spinner. Many parts of his post seem to be taken from various other posts, which makes it very difficult to pinpoint plagiarism. But I think the first line alone is enough, so please ban Newbie CryptoBD420 for plagiarism.

This quote of a deleted post is exactly the same as what CryptoBD420 posted, and my archived version of this post shows that CryptoBD420 copied BountyHive verbatim.

This guy has a long and checkered career of posting sloppy copy/paste translations, dating back to 2016 or 2017. His most recent client appears to be Bitcoin SV -- I can't imagine that he uses a collection of sockpuppets (some red trusted, some banned) to promote the same projects just "for fun." He must have talked somebody somewhere into paying him to keep posting "original content" in the BSV thread.

The problem is, it's not original at all -- its stuff about BSV copy/pasted from elsewhere (sometimes the original article is in English, sometimes in Spanish, and sometimes in French). The only time he posts "original content"  is when he gets mad and curses at people who call him out for what he's doing. Here's a couple of trusts he's left me from a while back, from different alts:

Kenzawak posted about this guy extensively here.

Here's one of his greatest quotes, just to give you an idea of what kind of person we're dealing with:

Well, my word is that I delivered 8 translations. unpaid. I just want to be paid. what do you do if you work for a guy who finally does not pay you? personally I break teeth.

So anyway, he uses 4-5 alts to talk to himself in the BSV thread, copy/pasting translations of BSV-related articles. Here's the most recent example:

He got the middle paragraph text from here, a post on a French forum from 2012. Translated, the post says this:

For easy comparison, here is the post by BSVfan:
