I have also been waiting for a response to the request for a Cybersecurity & Privacy board which will help to protect users by giving them the knowledge to protect themselves and their coins from the increasing amount of cyber threats. Despite my PM and other users sending PM's to theymos, there has not been a response yet. For now, the best thing to do is wait. Maybe there is something more important going on right now for theymos and the forum, and the requests will be attended to after these things are done (Maybe new forum software?)

I do agree that if the forum staff will tell the exact requirement, post counts, or active members criteria for the local board creation, many participants will start to abuse the system to unnecessarily make extra posts etc to meet the requirements. I guess the forum admin checks if the local thread is naturally growing and if there is a need for the local board, they will create it all of sudden.

Let's just conclude that you guys need to be patient this time. For sure a lot of admins are already aware of your application, and as what most members here said that there is no exact criteria you need to fill in order to be given their own local board or any application, it is just the same as how we too are having problems in terms of merit cycle specially in our local section, but due to our personal decision that we as members need to step-up to the plate, we decide to generate our own merit cycle.

I also agree that once there was someone who be given favor, for sure there will some others who will follow the steps and request their own applications. I hate to say this but that is mostly the case, and that is also what our staff has on the back of their minds. It is not that they are not willing to give you but they are worried about the corresponding risks if they will give the favor.

Yes it is difficult to say when we will get our local board but we have the hope. And yes this is good many are in the favor of our local board. And now the wait is for announcement from theymos, who will announce that now the Pakistan community has a separate local board. Because we deserve therefore we are asking.

They are doing far better than other locals with their own board. They always maintain a good number of monthly posts on average and active posters. Not to mention that Pakistan maintains an excellent average number in every section, like Merit/Post ratio and Merit Shared per local board. I hope admins will look into these stats and consider the application.

Things doesn't happen in just some days. Many things take time like you said. And we are waiting for the best time. And the announcement from the management. Theymos will give a good news soon. (Soon) doesn't mean tomorrow it can be some days or some weeks or months or years. But still we have a hope that we will get our new local board soon.

There is a chance but I am expecting that it should not take as long as you are explaining in the case of Nigerians. Well said as the specific criteria mentioned might lead to the abuse of the requirement for spam board creation. I think things take time to happen but we are impatiently waiting for the new board as it's too hard for us to explain all the stuff Politics, education, News & Updates, and regular conversation on the same page. The best thing to do is continue to improve the activity of your local thread. Try as much as possible to maintain quality posts, because if you don't the administrators will assume you will spam when your board is given.
Asking about the status of your request or the administrator's criteria. I think admin does not make public any criteria to have a local board. If they do, people may tend to manipulate in order to qualify.
So, the best is to keep doing your best and leave the rest.

We are trying to our best to keep alive this thread and also trying to improve the activity status of our local thread. In the past days our many members got their next ranks. And many are trying. For the moment, the two things we can do to keep our chances high is to keep this thread active and also keep posting in our local thread. If I compare our community with what we have year back then there is massive inflow of new members. Its good to see our community growing.

There is no doubt that people like you are doing great job in Pakistan community. Its now become my second nature to visit Pakistan community page every time I log into bitcointalk.org.
The community is growing which will promote bitcointalk.org website in Pakistan and we will see more people coming to this site in the long run.
The wait is getting longer and longer now but hopes are high that we will very soon out local thread as we rightly deserve that.

On the Pakistan community page, we have around 422 posts in the month of February. Which is a good figure in a month of 28 days. Detail stats will roll out in a day or two by Hamza2424 and then we can compare performance with last month. The very good thing about Pakistan community is they are not slowing down rather moving ahead with more pace. Just waiting for the local board from admin as we have compered all formalities.
