#OffTopic with a accuracy rate of 95% with 140 posts(and probably increasing) I take that as a milestone.
There are people with over 4000 reported posts.

I have to disagree with that seeing how late my post reports are handled, yes sometime when mods are online they are handled instantly. But these days mods are not much online I see, not even hilarious(no offense), some of my post reports are delayed over a day which I don't think is good moderation of forum. Just my 2 cents on the topic.
Well you're wrong and talking about other reports. I can view the report list, and sometimes the patrollers are so quick that the report gets handled under 15 seconds! I'm talking about posts made by newbies as those are handled by patrollers.

Edit: The second I said this, nearly all of my reported posts were handled, I guess mods needed a push in the right direction

No, if you report newbie posts it'll be handled faster. Because there are a lot of Patrollers but not enough active Global moderators, you have to wait either dedicated board moderator or grue/hilariousandco to handle the report. On the other hand your reports could be marked as bad, so you don't see any action for them.
I'm active 7/16 in this forum. I usually have 0 reports in my queue. Other Patrollers are very active, too.
I, just like EAL, like to keep my report list at 0 reports. I either handle them (by marking them correct/bad) or ignore them if I can't handle them. Anyway, patrollers have been very very active lately and thus newbie reports get handled quickly. I also try to handle reports in the sections I moderatore as quickly as possible. Grin
Marking it as bad will remove it from the reports queue and it will lower your accuracy. A mod can also ignore reports, which will hide that report from his queue.

I handled quite a few of your reports in the last few days, can't remember if any of them were marked as bad.

I see six bad ones recently so take that into consideration for ones seemingly appearing unhandled.
Good job guys, keep up the good work. Because of your hard work and dedication, I think it is safe to say that it is not necessary to hire a new moderator with the qualifications of the OP

I see you moderators(patrollers) using "marking it bad" quite often, does it mean that my report will not count valid and my post accuracy will drop or that it simple will be moved to another mod?

well, i will continue to report posts and see if theymos calls me up
doesnt make any sense when i think about it, its better if i wait until i finish high school
The chances are very slim. Maybe if there is another huge influx of users and your report count and accuracy is very high. At the moment there is no need for more patrollers (i.e. most of the time the report count is 0 since they get handled quickly). Also, you will have much less time to moderate if you go to a good university.

At any rate, not saying that tarsua will be a good mod or even be considered for a mod, as he himself has said that he has less than 200 reports and that too not with that high report accuracy. Just that we need someone that stays more on the forum and cares about keeping it clean

I am also asking for moderator privilege Tongue  (if we can get it by asking)

do you really think this is how they choose the staff members?
If you want to keep the forum clean from spam you can do this without being a moderator just whenever you see spam post use the "Report to moderator" button found on right bottom corner of every post, click this button to submit spam post report to moderators and help them keep the forum spam free.

lol, you, failed to read the last 3 pages - there have been mods like hilariousandco speaking up, saying it probably isn't the best idea to request to be a moderator.
I hope you were joking.  None of you asking to be a mod should actually be a mod - if the admin(s) see that you are doing enough work to keep the forum clean as a NORMAL member, they'll possibly promote you to a mod.
do you really think i was serious about asking for this?
I was joking because I know they don't choose moderators like this

It is kind of obvious (at least for me). May be they just read the first sentence AND ignored the "tongue" smiley. Grin

Edit: I admit I only read the first and the last pages of threads before posting esp. in a 100 pages thread. that shouldn't be a crime

Did you really just completely ignore the whole 3 pages of posts in this thread? If you bothered to read only the first one then you would know how they choose mods and that you won't become a mod just by asking.

TL;DR you become a mod by reporting lots of posts with high accuracy.

Making a thread with a title like this is literally the exact opposite of the way you become staff. If you really want to become staff, the best thing you can do is make a lot of reports with a decent accuracy rate, but if you really just want to become staff it probably won't work well for ya.

Well, I think that only reporting posts is not enough for being a moderator, a more important factor is having trust (or a untrusted person would have control of everyone's posts, and he may scam!). OP is a member in default trust depth 4, with black trust when viewed in default trust (depth 2), however I don't think this trust rating is enough. At least the member needs to be in depth 2/3 and dark green trust in depth 1/2 to be very trusted here.
being on DT has no correlation to one's ability to clean up the forum and delete off topic posts.

I saw many people asking for loan like that. I also saw people with no trust offering escrow services but this is something really innovative approach by this person. I think no one can even think about getting a post/rank like this without having a very high trust or abilities like that.
for OP only "Hey man, keep trying like this for this post i'm pretty sure you will get the job one day but i'm not sure i will be here to see that day." Good luck hahaha
