I'm confused about why there needs to be a coin swap. Can't you just include both algorithms in the client, and switch them past block X?

We are doing it smoothly at BEE mate , having both algorithms on the client is a much complicated process and I've tried that before and will need a complete client update.
True it's quite a headache but worth the trouble.
The exchange can help us with the swap where all the coins are sent to the exchange and swapped thereafter.
Im not sure if i understand it right, but means it that when you make a new client
with both algorithms, we dont need an exchange, just a client update so that
if someone just forgot about Astrocoin can restore them later?
