We all can lose in gambling  and lose our money but shall we stop or try to win back what we lost ?
If you try to win back what you lost i think its not a good idea. Maybe you can stop gambling that is a better idea to stop it. Gambling are risky you don't know when you can win or lose.

Meh.
Usually that's gambling addiction. Person wonders to win what he lose and promises himself that he/she won't play but however even on win, person continues gambling and says another promise: I'll win small amount and then never play. It continues like that and in worst cases, person loses and loses and even if he/she wins, that isn't enough to cover all lose so it continues again and finally we get worst situation.
It's better to stop when you realise that you lose more then you can't afford.

It's true that it can escelate very quickly and get out of hand but as you said, don't lose more than you can afford. What if I can afford to lose more, is it cool for me to try and win back my losses then? I'm curious as to there some of you draw the line that's all..

It's not that really simple to take something back specially if you are talking about gambling. Mostly of the players in gambling think that gambling is a source of their financial needs but little they do know, that it makes them coming back again and again. That could leads them to addiction and in worst case, they lose everything plus they were in huge debt. Somehow if they cannot pay for it those casino's were likely to ban you from entering into their place. Gambling should be treated as for an entertainment only and not as a source of funds.

No need to stop if you do not want to stop but you do not have to expect to take back your losses. Too many wishes will only suppress you and you will be less good in decision making. Calm yourself and stay away from pressure so you can think better.

This mainly depends whether you have a well set up strategy or not , because if you'll try to win back your money out of frustration then you'll just end up loosing more money . You should first calm down ,  explore your options and know what's your next step . If you are aiming to win a small amount of money then you should go on with no more than the amount you lost as money placed , try to pick small and most probable odds to occur and whenever you get a win you bet with your profits only . if it's a lot of money , then you should give it up because you might loose all what's left because of it .

This is hard decision that every gambler can do, just like the post of iluvbitcoins ( https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/should-i-try-to-win-back-my-loss-2285020 ) I can't give him a suggestion if he will pursue his money to get back and he will try again or he will just simply stop. It all depends to the will power of the gambler because not all the time luck is there, sometimes we are strong and sometimes we are weak and scared.

It is always a huge impulse that is usually hard to control and it takes a whole level of discipline to be able to. I followed the story of iluvbitcoins but I just could not make any comment knowing the ball is just in his hands and no matter what anyone says, that is what he would have done afterall. Unfortunaly, he ended up loosing twice and that is just what gambling does. A way of trapping your mind inhibiting you from accepting your losses and then you trying to see if your luck is good enough to save you from a huge disaster ahead.

What are you expecting people to say here?
I like to think of it this way: If you think you can win back your losses, why didn't you win in the first place?

Then you are implying we cannot win in any case? Well so far I haven't won anything pretty significant in gambling, usually I just end up losing the whole deposit I made.
So probably there is truth to your statement. Though the chances are slim, I still believe there is a chance to get back your losses, but the chances of losing more is far greater.

That's probably the worst idea ever and there have been tons of topics about this subject already.
What are you expecting people to say here? I mean no-one would ever suggest that you should try and win back your losses.

I would suggest and recommend him to try and win back his losses. I really don't see the point of just rolling over and die after a few losses, makes no sense to me. We are all different but I really don't see why so many people who clearly have no idea about gambling give their opinion on this matter, they just don't know..

We all can lose in gambling  and lose our money but shall we stop or try to win back what we lost ?

People slide into additive gambling for two reasons

1. When they win, they believe its going to continue that way so they continue playing and

2. When they lose, they then believe they can win back their losses so they keep on playing. But the gambling sites administrators knows this so they ensure that all these two options are intertwined which sometimes you enter into fully into gambling and to get out becomes too difficult. In determining whether to stop or continue chasing after lost money will involved sitting down and doing an average overview of the net position of where you were before and after the time of the analysis.

I doubt that admins and owners of casinos have some sort of master plan of letting you win a few times to then take you on a losing streak. Some people just become addicted because they lack any other source of fun & excitement in real life, so they turn to gambling to fill their needs. Would say that's the most common thing. You won't see a majority of gamblers starting out with the intention to just have "fun".

One of the silly mistake every newbie gamblers make is that they try to recover what they will loss initially but by end of the day they will loss all they have rather than recovering anything. When you start to loss small amount, you have to place bigger bets and when you will lost those bigger bets too it is almost impossible for you to recover your losses without depositing more.

Chasing in gambling is the biggest mistake.  Ask any professional gambler.  Chasing means you lost site of your original goals and will more than likely bust at some point or another.  Pro gamblers have strict rules on money and they are never ever going to chase.  Take a peek at the movie "21" it actually talks about this and one of the guys in the movie gets kicked out for chasing to try and make up.

We all can lose in gambling  and lose our money but shall we stop or try to win back what we lost ?
When I lose a lot from gambling I just continue betting and do proper bankroll management until I lose all my balance. If you can't win just cut your losses, stopping is a good idea taking a break from gambling really helps.  It's your choice because it's your money if you can afford to lose more then go ahead.
The best possible solution to ease addiction on gambling.  This method really save me from losing all my profits in gambling. I won almost 5BTC during my first month of playing gambling then after that, I started losing 0.2BTC weekly until I lost almost half my profit then I decided to stop and enjoy my remaining profit.  Grin

It's very bad move if we continue to play to recover our loses because sometimes luck is not on our side. It will just only add to our loses if we continue to play because we can do some rage bet just to recover our loses fast but if you want to recover it maybe you just play with extra care or you can play on the next day.

Forget about soon as possible, that soon as possible is good for rich gamblers or if you have X bankroll and then start with 10% of your bankroll, if you lose it deposit 15%-20%. Rich people can come back in the game soon as possible.
I will tell you about my experience, I remember where I lost my money and how. When I have same amount or more I come back and I gamble in the same way, I win play with a bit higher bets. Many times I recovered my loses and made some extra profit, but there is bad luck also when I lose in a row. Exactly that is happening this weeks with one very nice slot on betcoin.ag, in past month I lost more then 0.13 bitcoins on one slot, and soon I will try it again when I'm in a good mood to deposit 0.1 btc.
Bottom line is if you don't try you can't win and you can't make money, so stopping for me is not long term option, I like to gamble and I like to win, and that win will come eventually.
