Wow, his temperature is super low too.  Another Winter Miner.  =)

Just finished reading your summer thread as well.  So awesome, that's a path I'll have to be considering this summer, although I do not have that nice of a real estate space as yours.

Quoting so it shows picture as rank is not enough to do it currently.  Care to share more about your setup what PSU are you using?

Very nice speeds that you are getting.

Any chance we can see your entire Winter and Summer Mining setup Notlist3D?  It might give us newbies some ideas

Summer is much more involved then winter to be honest.  I did not know if I could do summer or not.  I ended up doing it though so that felt like a accomplishment to say the least to have my own mining area.  You can read it here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/summer-mining-fansother-summer-equipment-1020826

Basically started with fan's ended up buying very powerful CFM fan's and regular fan's did not cut it.  I ended up needing a more commercial exhaust after that it worked very good but it was a challange to get it all running.

Winter is much simplier.  But this is all really for another thread Smiley.

Actually a bit dissappointed to see 3.3TH vs 3.5.   We already know that higher voltage = higher Hash rate for this box but do you think it's the super low temperature that is making your box not hit the stated 3.5TH?  I recall the vendor saying this Avalon performing better at 60C and right now it's running in the low 30s.  Tom from Oregon miners say he have 2 x 750W Dell PSU available for sale.  You should get them, according to him it's luck of the draw as some of the box required no change in setting and can get 3.8TH without any setting changes, just need to use the Dell PSUs.

Some have mentioned temperature.  My mining area is getting winter air.  My big exhust even has stopped running due to temps being so lot it just is not needed.  So it very well could be a factor.

Also the one PSU I think is a factor aswell notice one has 12 input and other 11.8.  After the week stability test I plan on checking both PSU's with my psu tester and see what it see's.

The 2 750 from all that have been said sounds like if you run with those you will get higher speed then my EVGA ATX's.  But I'm enjoying very efficient speed right now with these PSU's so I'm fine not put off to much.  The margins of running this are just very nice right now with high btc value.  I still have my 4.1 (and other miners) but I really have enjoyed the Avalon 6.

NL3D - That's the combined Hashrate of 2 Avalon 6 right?  That's about 3.3TH each, which is a bit low right?

P.S  I can just imagine how cold that room these Avalons are in.  The temperature reported is so low.  haha

Yes it is 2 Avalon 6's after about 4 day's.  As you can see one EVGA is better then other at staying at 12 volt's, which does effect the hashrate.

And mining area luckily is lucky winter air has started so much cooler then summer. I still have a lot of my summer cooling gear on, so they all get a very cool area to mine in.  It is overkill at this time of year.

Still running 1 week stability test.  So far about 4 day's and it keeps working which is good.  It does seem one of my PSU's is a little better then other at staying at 12 volts.

Can't wait to see more Under Clocking and Over clocking results to fine the sweet spot.  The Anticipation is killing me, my unit is coming Thursday............seems like Eternity.

@Notlist3d - I bought these to help with the cooling of the Server Rack which will only be housing low heat devices like the PSU and hide the cablings.

Thermostat and Speed control LCD is pretty sexy too for just $25.

PM Question about different option then google drive.  Here is one for A6.

As a alternative - https://www.dropbox.com/s/j8qhb6xxwdchm9g/A6dhcpbackup.rar?dl=0 is now set up.  It is the BlockC DHCP image in a .rar format to make it smaller and also on dropbox vs google drive.

I won't post it in main post as google drive seems to work for most.  Dropbox since free sometimes does have to many shares and can lock it up for a day.

It is very stable with 12.6 volts for me using the 750's.  The ones I have on those PSU's have been running since they arrived at 3.8-4.0 Th.  I have tried using higher quality wires vs. lower gauge wires and it seems to have little difference in the hash rate but made a small difference in the voltage.  I suspect Finsky is correct about them except it didn't raise enough to actually kick up the hash rate.

kilo,
is that the voltage shown on cgminer? if so, have you measured voltage at the miner? mine consistently shows at least .1 volts less on cgminer than with a fluke voltmeter.

Cool.  I will try those photo software for attachments.  Regarding the case, there are opening in the back that I can add additional fans.  I think I recall seeing another post from you on another thread that shows a fan controller that can control up to 4 fans and power attachment.  I have 2 spare x 120MM fans that I can use to assist with the cooling.  The case will only be housing the PSUs, switch and cables so I think it should be fine.  The Avalon will sit on top of the case.

It's a 4 pin adapter from molex - http://www.amazon.com/Phobya-4-Pin-3-Pin-Splitter-Connection/dp/B007S3T4O0 .   I have not used it in this thread with the Avalon.   I used it quiet a bit with C1's though and it works good.  It's just a simple splitter no fan controls or anything special.  It did the job great with C1's.   It actually does 6 fan's if needed.

Honestly the Avalon 6 does a pretty darn good job with heat in my view.  Granted it's winter so easier but I can say I ran Avlaon 4.1's all summer with no issues.

What do you guys think if I use this to house the network switch, power cables and 2 PSU for the Avalon(s)?  I may help further reduce noise from the PSUs.  I don't think the PSU get too hot to be a big concern for the enclosed cabinet which also have outlet for heat and an exhaust fan.   Also how do I insert pictures?  The insert picture button does nothing.

I think that has item has to little of exhust.  If you look at it appears one not so big fan at top of box.  You really need a intake and exhust for air.  If you make it less or slower then fan on miner... you are going to restrict airflow and likely get hot.  How hot? Don't really know without trying it.

If you need it even less which I did not find it to bad on sound compared to some other miners, I would suggest look more at something like Phils S7 mod for sound.  It was honestly a great mod for sound.

On pictures it has to be a site that works here on posting.  But you just insert the direct link between the html code.  If it works you will see it, if not you see white with red writing and you know you need to upload image to different place.  I use photobucket just as I have a LOT of photo's up for my reviews and it was easy.

anyone know how to buy one in europe? none on ebay.
zoomhash only does USA.
one german website but they are very expensive

Hi, when you import a miner to europe, you must pay your country VAT and some custom taxes (not very high). So, 1.720€ / 1.21 (in spain we have 21% vat) 1.421,49€, it is same price than zoomhash...  Roll Eyes

btw, if you found some place to buy at low prices, please, send me a pm  Grin

Europe is kinda a hard zone for miners.  The electricity price and VAT just kill a lot of ROI.  Good thing is miners in Europe tend to sell for more.  Bad thing is that is since you paid a good amount extra normally on vat.

BlockC would be official seller since it's in their area as far as the split between them and Ehash.  But there is that MOQ there.   So again with vat kinda tough as a miner.

I would highly recommend looking into hosting somewhere.  There are a decent amount of them at this point.  But find a place with decent electricity and no or very small vat and you are much better off, in most cases.  It is not as fun as having miner there to tinker but that way you stand a chance at ROI.

Yes, 100% agreed. ATM i'm using the hosting services of cryptoboreas, and i'm very happy with them. Yes, it is very far from spain, but they have a very good place to mine...  Roll Eyes
