Bad news team - I've been in contact with BlocC who said that smart fan speed is integral to it's operation and I doubt we'll have control over it :/

I hope that you are wrong and that true under volt + down clock  is available.

It was available on the avalon 4.

But if you are correct  then these will never work as well as I hoped for.  I am glad to have the 2.  And I will now consider more options.  I may get a hosted s-7.

I'm hoping the same his time is odd at releasing info.  Getting info at Saturday night is just normally not the time they would be sending out support info.

Who are you talking to at BlockC bonez?  Can you post email or picture of email?  The fact you spelled BlockC wrong and time you posted just does not give me ton of confidence in your info.

cool it takes a village but it now works.

@ notlist  you should add something in the thread title

 some FAQ's on av-6

or

some support av-6

thread will get more hits like my old  sp20 thread.

Good idea I changed it a little bit.   I'm happy to have any and all talk about AV6 in it.  It is meant to help people is main goal.

So thanks for idea!

there is a jumper plug in a clear bag. that goes on the other end and connects the green wire to ground, which tells the psu to turn on.
yes! thanks so much for your help! the miner did it's initial checks and it's running fine now!

what psu? if you have voltmeter check the pcie connectors and see what the voltage is. Does the psu even turn on?

EVGA 1300. I plugged it into the wall and switched to power on, but no fans spinning or anything.

it will run no matter what. it just wont hash without cgminer.

yeah nothing happens. i'm suspecting either the miner or psu is defective

whats the miner do when you turn on the psu? It should go through an initialization where the fan runs and the lights on the back flash and change colors.

it actually doesn't do anything. I thought it would run as soon as the cgminer runs. I'll try re-plugging the psu.

does the miner turn on at all?

I don't know. It should have been tested before they sold it to me.
I switched from static ip to DHCP and now it shows this:

Code:
[Firmware Version] => Avalon Firmware - 20151111
   luci: b101100
   cgminer: b9d9dd2
   cgminer-packages: d33729e
