Currently trying to use my Rockminer T1.
Are there any pools it will work with? What settings? Nothing i have tried will work.
Thanks

there is a pretty good guide here:

https://www.eyeboot.com/how-to-setup-rockminer-t1-800-900-gh-s-bitcoin-miner

Thank you but unfortunately there's a bug that prevents the T1 from working properly. Since it's old it's not supported anymore and it won't connect to any pools.
I was hoping there was someone out there that has theirs working and could tell me how they did it.

My main issue is the number of 'duplicate' shares I keep getting.

I'm currently using cgminer 4.6.1 (simply because I haven't needed to upgrade)
Think about those two statements.

My most humble....ah hell. Surprise...installed latest n greatest...problem gone!!  Sorry ck. I shoulda known.

Happy mining!!

Good to hear that.  Glad that you got your problems fixed.  CK is pretty good when it comes to helping people.

It's ~6.8%.

Edit: 1 runs 6.7 the other 6.9.

Any ideas how to lower those results?

What is your hashrate on the miner side and then pool side?  If it is within 5%, you are fine and normal.  Also, check your theoretical 24 hour coin mined vs actual 24 hour mined coins - make sure you look at luck as well.

Will do....and thanks!! I MAY have found a solution, as well. vardiff wanted these to run at share diff of 64. I just upped them to 128. From watching, they appear to not have as many duplicates yet seem to be keeping the same hashrate. Will have to run over time and then check all the stats to know for sure.

Thanks again

I thought the duplicate share was an issue with the pool not miner..?

Not really sure, but it happens on every pool I've tried. It's very frustrating.

You can entirely ignore duplicate shares, they mean nothing what so ever. Even -Ck (cgminer's coder) says to ignore them.

Ok....but they show up in your pool stats as rejected. Doesn't that count against the miner and also mean that it's not operating at peak.

It really depends on how many duplicate shares you have.  Is it 1% or 10%?

Hi,

I hope I've found the right place. I have 2 of the r-Box 110Ghs. Not sure what else they are called. I'm sure there's a tech name, but I don't know it. First, I love 'em. I didn't have any problems /w setup. But I do have a couple of complaints. On 1 of them (it was a first release from GAW (I think that's where I got it). The blue light quit flashing, but it is mining. The 2nd, I bought used. My main issue is the number of 'duplicate' shares I keep getting. It doesn't seem to affect the hashrate I'm seeing poolside, but it does show as errors. Admittedly, I haven't kept up on these. Is there an issue /w them, an update I need or something. They are still a great little unit, but I'm not happy with the 'dupe' rejects. I'm currently using cgminer 4.6.1 (simply because I haven't needed to upgrade) however, I have tried lower versions, as well. I'm not a BFGMiner fan & have no clue on how to setup a rPi. My computer is on 24/7 anyways for some scrypt miners I have running as well as the GPU for x11.

So is the 'duplicate' share issue common?

Thank you

edit: I know...OCing is not recommended, but is there anything needed to do this besides adjusting the freq? It's a shame this company going down. I love these little guys!!

FC seems to no longer be fulfilling AM's most basic obligation to their original shareholders.   Sad

XPOST of interest to investors in ASICMINER and its subsidiaries/partners/products:

OgNasty, where you at?

I'm waiting patiently for confirmation that shares have been transferred so I can make the final payment.  I offered to send 0.75 BTC now to satisfy the agreement in exchange for assuming the risk of AM not paying out or confirming the share transfer.  I am still happy to do that, or we can stick to the original agreement and wait for confirmation from AM.

Friedcat is a scammer if he does not honor his promise to transfer shares upon request.

We risked our BTC to make him rich and famous.  And now he's too busy being successful to spend 5 minutes dealing with an early investor?

If Friedcat breaks his promise to confirm share transfers, I hope the Chinese Scam Police hunt him down and teach him a lesson.

When in doubt, just use a service like http://www.isitdownrightnow.com
Thanks but the results don't look good. What a shame. I wish rockxie would have at least posted about closing the site first.

I've got a Rockminer R-Box, can anyone offer tips as to what replacement fans fit on this miner? I was told this one should, and judging from the picture it looks like it does.

Any other ones?

IMO just open the case, buy a house fan and sit it right in front, it works wonders.

@Rockminer

Are you guys gonna keep making miners?  I hope you guys keep kicking I love your little hobby miners.

i think they are after some one else to help them produce the miners.

As for the fan no idea about the R-Box, i think the thermaltake fan should do, for $11-12 for a fan and useless sink, not much of a loss if it didn't fit
