They contacted me and said they are sorry and offered to pay me what I won.
I also told them they must fix what they did with yahoo62278, and make things right.

@absolutely-positioned

As I said in this post earlier, and in private conversation,
you also need to correct your mistake with yahoo62278 if you want to see change for your profile feedback.
I am sure you can all find some kind of compromise.

Please be patient, it is new year.

All the best in 2020
Thank you, hope you have a good new year as well Smiley & Yes we've reached out once again to Yahoo and are coming to a resolution.

So sum things up.

1. We hosted a giveaway on our Discord and you won it fair and square.
2. Our employee who runs giveaways thought a rule about new accounts should be added because we had a lot of multi accounts being created for multiple entries.
3. There was a dispute about whether or not the rule was made before or after your win.
4. We did not handle this well. It did not get to the right people in time and we sincerely apologise. We have paid you $200 for the giveaway.

We are not scammers, we've been around for more than a year now with hundreds of giveaways, tens of thousands of dollars given to our players.

Again, on behalf of Roobet I'm sorry for how this was dealt with, you should have just gotten your money right then and there. While we're not brand new, we're still working on our inner-team communication as we grow.

Quote this for reference.
I would like to hear from dkbit98 about this payment.
Also, there https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.53388976 is no movement here and it seems not to be moving and solving that.

Why do you need to receive five red trusts to take the whole situation seriously?
We've already spoken about that issue to the person it concerns numerous times.

We had a max profit set to $2,000. We allowed people to bet what they'd like even if the win exceeded max profit (you'd just get paid max profit). This is similar to what a lot of casinos do, brick and mortar and online. This was well known in our casino by most of our High Rollers, who all had no issue with this.

We were in the process of changing this so that you could no longer bet that high, and this user "misclicked" and won 36x on a large bet, he got paid $2,000.

If we had the rule already in place, he wouldn't have been $2,000 richer than he had been that day from a missclick.

I have already said my opinion on the whole thing. Bug on your platform is your fault. Misclick is no excuse, if he lost because of a misclick, you will take all of his money from overbet.
Also, "We allowed people to bet what they'd like" is pure nonsense. You will allow $2000 on a bet with 36x multiplayer, so the user can only to lose money. I would like to meet a person who likes to risk $2000 without possibility to win anything.

as far as I know yahoo62278, he probably wouldn’t insist to pay them immediately if it may affect your further solvency. I'm pretty sure he'd be open to a deal and not make you bankrupt. to all this a very bad reaction by your side blocking them on your chat and ignoring the complete situation.

It is similar to your misunderstanding with dkbit98, it is your fault, you were not clear with the rules I suppose it's because of the lack of guidance leading giveaways. It is normal, people make mistakes, but the bigger mistake is when you don't accept your own mistakes. I'm thinking if you would admit it that dkbit98 did not post this case here.

RE dkbit98: Since this incident we've taken the proper measures to make sure this doesn't happen again. It's now taken care of and and we apologized for what happened. Can only go forward from here

Looks like they deleted it...
Previously I was also there, but today I opened Discord and it turns out it's gone
I think I was kicked by them, apparently they deleted the Discord channel
it looks like they will only use Telegram and Twitter channels to avoid negative comments Cheesy

He spent three days to eat his shit and renounce of $150. I guess how much time needs to solve mistake with yahoo62278.

Well at least they are willing to change some things in the last moment.   Grin

the moment they changed their website from "fair casino" to "you lose a lot but we also give back a bit" they lost so many customers that even the topic is not moving as fast as it used to, yet they claim the customers are happy so there must be some customers outside of bitcointalk that still fill enough spaces on their casino to make a profit.

From FAIR to HONEST to DISHONEST to ....

Hey! We reached out to you about making this right. We're giving you your $150 giveaway win Smiley Hope you have a nice week!

Can anyone find their discord channel? None of the invites work anymore. Did they shut it down for some reason?

http://archive.md/JEy2f

Entries for this creative competition are now closed. Keep an eye on this thread for the winners which will be announced on January 1st. Thank you all for your entries and good luck!

Closing the submission almost 9 hours before it's supposed to end, that's very professional of roobet. Could it be that they've selected winners already?

...

so I cant submit my creative video?

Last day to submit: 28 dec. it mean that you can submit it not more than 11:59 PM on 28 Dec.
BUT...
"The rules are subject to change at Roobets discretion"
so, OP WIN.

...

This has been addressed and entries have been extended 24 hours. We appreciate you pointing that out, have a great one!

So far I see this:

1) 1 month old gambling site
2) scammed yahoo62278
3) scammed dkbit98
Last week when Yahoo62278 opened a thread on scam accusation at that moment my thinking was that their authority will solve the matter as soon as possible. Today after reading this new topic i am pretty much sure that they have no interest to protect their users rights. keeping trust on their promises will not be a wise idea for sure. Already within 1 or 2 weeks we have got two incidents about this casino platform and both of the matter is remain unsolved. I don't think they want to build reputation rather than creating fear for casino players.

We invested into this forum with our signature campaign and advertising on this forum because we have nothing but respect for the forum itself and the users it holds, including fairly high rollers like yourself but the twisted games that are played to try and get your way are not something we fold into.
If that's the case, you have a lot to learn. Building a reputation takes a long time, but it can be quickly destroyed. Or as we say in Dutch: "vertrouwen komt te voet en gaat te paard".
In the casino business, your reputation is all you have. You should be absolutely trustworthy in everything you do. When running a contest, I assume you do so to gain publicity, and get new players. Even though they say "there is no bad publicity", it taints your image, and that can't be the goal of your contest.
I've managed several contests in the past, and always tried to make clear and complete rules from the moment the contest starts.

I don't care about your shitty 150$
@absolutely-positioned: as a gesture of good will, are you willing to donate $150 to a charity?

Latest Update from their contest:

-
7:13am UTC = 11:13pm PST

Is it now 28th December PST?  Huh
you closed it on 27th DEC 11:00PM PST
As you mention it should be closed on 28th DEC 11:59PM PST
Agree, I converted my time zone to PST..

and this time is the 12 m.n. of PST which is equivalent to 8:00am of Forum time which is UTC.

Therefore, the entry of this guy should be included.
It seems unfair, early closing of contest and PST wasn't included in the original post. And, maybe there are people who're still trying to make a video for this contest and will send it later, assuming that this contest was based on the default timezone which is the forum time (UTC).
Anyways, this might help for future situations; http://archive.md/GyY5k

Well that is just 'great'
they are also LIARS and cheaters!

I see they also have contest in forum now, and I expect to see more people feedback soon.

After all this I think that member absolutely-positioned should not be trusted and he deserves a red flag.

Why do we have the rule implemented where brand new Roobet users can't participate? - So that people don't spam the creation of accounts on-site and ultimately bring multiple entries into the discord giveaways.
It doesn't sound fair to invite people to join giveaway and then, when they win, to tell them to go away. You can call it whatever you like but you just don't add or change giveaway rules after you announce winner.
Do you have any actual proof that OP scammed giveaway?
Do you have any proof that whoever won that giveaway doesn't have more that one "old" roobet account?

So far I see this:

1) 1 month old gambling site
2) scammed yahoo62278
3) scammed dkbit98

4) lying about house edge.
