In the New Zealand Super Rugby Pacific semis, the Blues are at $26.00 against the Crusaders (suspended) with that game all but sewn up. Likewise, the Chiefs are on $1.16 against the Brumbies at $5.00 even (which kicks off in about 23 hours from now). Interestingly, ^{(and I must say I've never paid attention to the little gem)} Australian teams have never won against NZ on NZ home soil in 27 years in the Super Pacific Cup. Had I been paying attention to that piece of information I would have bet for NZ ever time they play Aust across the ditch. Both the Crusaders and Chiefs are powerhouses of the local game and I almost never bet against them.

Round 16 kicks off in two hours from now. Like you my money is on the Panthers for the first game (where the money is at for that one) the next two games I'm going against the money by picking the Roosters and the Sea Eagles over the Knights and Eels respectively. In the third game tomorrow I'm back to the money with the Storm and Sharks over the much maligned Wests Tigers and Bulldogs who seem to be giving it their all this season.

And finally... over in the US Major League Rugby (typical of the Yanks to mix League and Union into one name) I'm going with Dallas ($1.60), Old Glory DC ($1.26) and Toronto ($2.60) to win over Chicago ($2.25), Rugby ATL ($3.60) and NOLA Gold ($1.46) in their respective games.

I've placed the occasional wager on Toulouse and some of the other teams. Only one or two games at a time every few weeks so I haven't really been following the highs and lows of the competition).

Most Union games are behind paywalls here, so I probably won't be able to see it. Hopefully they win!

Rugby Union TOP14

The final of the French Top14 league is on the Saturday the 17th, Toulouse face La Rochele.
The odds are 1.84 to 2.04. I havent been following this at all this year but I have a small bet
on La Rochelle purely because I'm backing the Irish connection, Ronan O'Gara the coach of
La Rochelle. They are of course the Heineken Cup Champions of 2023.

There was very little difference between the two sides at the end of regular season, Just a
drawn game for Toulouse th firrefence between 1 and 2.

Waow - those slippery Eels - at this stage I wouldnt be surprised if the made the
grand final. . . again! In the space of a couple of rounds they are almost in the top
8, they might just replace the Sea Eagles when they play this coming round - interesting!

Its a bit sad to see the Dolphins slipping down the ladder, their season was looking
very promising early on but that really was due to the lack of performance from some
of the top teams.

The team of the season so far has to be the Broncos!

Yes, you're definitely welcome to come for a visit during the World Cup of Rugby. I'm in the same delema being at the opposite side of the planet to the vast majority of sporting events that occur around the world.

The Eels had an emphatic win over the Bulldogs with a 34 - 12 win overnight. The bulldogs were denied a late try in a game that was very one sided.

The Eels win also pushes the Dolphins to eleventh on the ladder.

Are you asking to me?. Well im not going, because first of all its quite expensive to travel from Argentina to Australia, and second im saving for next football american cup next year on USA. But thanks for your kind invite.

You can expect a lot of Argentinians in the WC anyways, because a lot of us lives on Australia or NZ making working hollidays or something related. Not my case clearly.

Storm (third on the ladder) beat the Sharks (fifth on the ladder) 58 - 10. I would have accepted 28 - 10, but not 58 - 10

We can see on the Ladder (now that all top eight have played their games this week) there is a clear order starting to emerge. Due to the 17 teams where each team has a BYE in turn together with the Sate of Origin causing smaller numbers of teams to play in the week prior and of the series, teams have also had a second BYE gaining two points, but as you can see, the Panthers on points are ahead in more ways than one claiming the number one spot.

Tonight's game is between the Bulldogs and Eels which is occurring as some States celebrate the King's Birthday today. (New Zealand celebrates the King's Birthday the weekend prior)

I was beginning to think nothing would go my way this week (in more ways than one) then the Broncos and Panthers came through with wins tonight. I'll have to have a look at the replays tomorrow.

The first game the bunnies staged a late comeback scoring back to back tries in the dieing minutes but were unable to equalise the score going down 36 - 30 against the Dragons.

Well I'm happy my bet on the Sea Eagles materialised along with the bet on the Broncos
because the Dragons toasted the Rabbitohs, that was not supposed to happen, Rabbitohs
were in 2nd spot, Dragons in last Huh

Broncos back into that 2nd place behind the Panthers. I wonder what their odds are to win
the premiership?

I took a look at that broken jaw incident and it didnt look malicious on the part of
Fa’asuamaleaui but he is on report but its a very serious injury to receive.

Tomorrow one of the games sees the Sea Eagles go up against the Dolphins and
they are favoured to win too, 1.33 - 3.6, I see Timelord that you arent betting on that game.

Yeh tonight I'm going with the Tigers. They made a colossal comeback last week, so my money is on them. Likewise, the Auckland Warriors have been playing tough this year as has Canberra who I think will pip their New Zealand opponents at the post. The Rabbitohs should easily slay the Dragons. It'll be an upset if Newcastle ($4.150) can reign in the Broncos even though on the ladder there isn't much of a gap between the top ten teams.

Goal kicker for the Panthers Nathan Cleary is out for many weeks with a torn hamstring, so their conversion points may suffer, but I'm going with the Panthers.

I'm going with the Sharks over the more favoured Storm but am going to say the more favoured Eels with bring the Bulldogs to heal.

NRL - Round 15

First game of this round is an interesting one, Titans v Wests Tigers and both
are even odds, no favourite. Carrying on from last weeks posts and results of the
games I would say both myself and Timelord will bet on the Tigers.

On the opposite end of the ladder the Broncos in 2nd place take on the Knights
in 11th so thats a handy game for the Broncos who are obvious favourites.

Yea hopefully injuries wont have too much of a bearing on the games.

There's a full round of games being played this weekend - a few of the players are out with injuries, but it doesn't seem like there are concentrated in one team, so it shouldn't affect game play too much.

Ooooh thats a big move, yes I like that they are and seem to have improved their results,
personally I might wait a bit before having so much confidence though.

I'm not one who would want to see the same teams year after year winning and populating
the top of the ladder so I like the mixup which is happening, its not great, actually its
$hite for my wagers this season!

Yes, they've returned to the top of the ladder but the top right positions are very hotly contested at the moment with only a win or two seperating their ladder scores. The dolphins got pounded as did the Titans in yesterday's two earlier games.

The West Tigers look to be clawing their way out of the black hole they were in trailing at first they lost by just one point at full time.

I'm seriously considering betting on them depending on who they come up against in the next few weeks.
