I always feel that this event will be a good sign for the bitcoin market because people will trust virtual currency more than real money for security reasons and every transaction is kept private.
I'm not sure about that. What has FIFA to do with Cryptocurrency? I see absolutely no connection between these two, but it might be just me who knows lol. I expect a sales increase in all sports gambling websites which are accepting cryptocurrencies, but nothing more. strongly agree with your opinion on the security issues that are the main threat to this event. Such things are usually unpredictable. But you will also agree with me that this is a global event and Russia will not take lightly because it can easily damage the country's reputation if this happens. Their military system is not weak and we all know it. So I think they will start preparing for this event as long as you and I can imagine. I honestly find it strange that people keep on talking about Russia World Cup and bitcoin since there is absolutely no relationship between the two. Russia is not one of those countries with that much bitcoin adoption, specially not as a currency. bitcoin is legal over there and there are a lot of investors from Russia but that doesn't mean there will be some effects on bitcoin just because World Cup is there. it could have been true only if there were merchants over there accepting bitcoin payment. for example if the hotels, the airlines, the tickets to the games,... were being sold for bitcoin but since that is not the case here then there is no relationship either.
