really wondering how about russian comment on this forum about this news, and wait for their clarification, what really happen in russia,is someone here from russia?and ever do that "crime" and than what the punishment?i mean what goverment do to you.

Good point.

Anyone here in a Russian Gooleg?? (it's a what the Ruskies call Jail, Google it)

All this talk about "banning" bitcoin is just that:

all talk, and no action

Like how  the Iranian ayatolla says stuff like America must be wiped from the map, and then does absolutely nothing following his election except beg the USA to remove its trade sanctions so it can sell Tim Allen some gas for his suped up Hum-V

This is no different than Obama saying that he is going to have the most transparent administration, leave Iraq, and shut down Geronimo Bay prior to the election then threatens any congressman with jail time for bringing a pen to their supervised viewing of the 1,000,000,000 page TPP bill.

In other words:

It's just a show. They are not serious, in fact they are just fudding to keep the price down so they can get in earlier than the sheep they are sworn to protect.

Don't listen to a word a politician says, check their voting record.

Be happy, Because if the Russian politicians are saying that they hate bitcoin, then you know they love it!
Russia LOVES bitcoin!

What would stop other countries to do same, i.e., making bitcoin and other coins illegal, except those run on private blockchains of banks or some government organizations?

making something illegal simply drives the demand and price up

time to throw you onto ignore. as you seem to want to circle jerk the real issue with all your meme's and clickbait stuff rather than actually look at the source.

ill unignore you after february 20th. where you can then circle jerk the media's interpretations. and i can then show the real updated draft(source)

Lol, don't be mad, Young Person, no harm done!
That said, 100% certain you didn't put me on ignore, just dying to to answer now Cheesy
Yeah, staring at this post and trying to figure out how to do it without admitting your heinous lie.

Yes... you probably thought of some hurtful angry thing to type back, something you (mistakenly) think is clever.
Alas, too late! Nothing to be done Undecided

P.S.

here is my stance based on the WHOLE conversation of the video and the ACTUAL draft legislation
"being an unregistered money business exchanging different forms of money (including bitcoin) will lead to an administrative fine"

so you carry on with your out of context twerking at ponies. have a nice day

lol

forklog lol

that very first quote.. "bitcoin is not the only one"

it totally missed off a few sentances before it that explained alot more of the reality of the whole russian economy.. again missing context.
which all the other bitcoin media also missed as they (just like you) blindly followed forklog.
yep themerkle followed forklog, CCN followed forklog, coindesk followd forkog. but none of then went to the source direct.

we know your not russian because you admitted yourself that you could not translate the pdf into english.. yet if you were russian you would not need to. and the only part you could quote from the pdf was the date.

please go research more and stop pretending your an adult

kid, your only proof is that the video mentions the word bitcoin.

My sperging young person,
The "proof" is knowing the Russian language, and being able to understand the interview.
The relevant parts of the interview are also translated by another native Russian speaker, here.
Further "proof" consists of all the Bitcoin publications backing me.
Short of the rigors of a true mathematical proof, but sufficient for a insolent youngster such yourself Angry

You, my little sperge monster, are the only dissenting voice. Yes, only you & your mad Google Translate skillz disagree.

Which makes your claim hilariously extraordinary, and places the onus of proof square onto your weak, sloping shoulders.

Now let's see some product or STFU Smiley

you fail.

i have posted more of the words that the guy in the video said then you have. as you have taken it all out of context and knitpicked just chosen words with limited scope.

lets all laugh at you after february 20th

^^
Source material (below) is in 100% agreement with clickbait. Smiley
@naidray: Ignore franky, he knows nothing, just likes to post.

waffle from clickbait sites

so you want to use clickbait as your evidence..
again.. dont give coindesk links or forklog links.. and give the Lenta.ru or even a government news link which meant to be the source of a guy that just arrived in his job 1 month ago, who has not even made a draft himself, or any amendments (as they wont be done before february 20th)

so show me the quote on Lenta.ru which all the clickbait crypto sites have copy and pasted but not directly linked

please show the source, not the mis-interpretted and twisted comment out of context on the clickbait sites.. the actual source please

http://themerkle.com/news/putins-adviser/
Please tell me why you feel that not mainstream press, but BITCOIN PRESS is spreading such horrible disinformation, and YOU, Google Translate wizard, are *the only fricking one* who should be trusted?
Can you contact these lying statist fiatmongers and tell them to staph?

Update: found the the special sauce Cheesy
...
Ahahahaha! Here you go, Friend Cheesy

He does, he does say the very words, right here Cheesy

http://lenta.ru/video/2016/02/05/klimenko/

See the word биткoины? That's Bitcoins, in Cyrillics.

Cheesy

Please ignore the ignorant goof, he trolled me into finding this bullshit, don't let him waste your time Angry

Russia doesn't like bitcoins doesn't mean that it is a bad sign for BTC. They banned the currency already few months back and now they just want to fine users as they aren't collecting taxes from that income. But I believe they can not stop people saving bitcoins.

Yes, there would be users from Russia who would continue to use it but the number of users would decrease significantly. I doubt that there may be any users from that country (may be 10% or less).

they didnt ban bitcoin months ago. they just reminded people that being an exchanger (of any currency) without a licence has always been illegal,
"money surrogates" is not a russian translation of 'bitcoin'. but a buzzword for anything that is not legal tender of russia(ruble).

even exchanging the dollar or euro needs registering as an exchange. and anyone not registered can only do it "under the table" because if caught. they would get fined

the fact that they are now telling people that only legal entities (institutions) will get jail time is a positive
the fact that they are only going to fine an individual $500(R40,000) is a positive.
the fact that they are only going to fine businesses $1300(R100000) is a positive.

the fact that people in the future can register their details to become an exchanger is a positive.

its worth reading source material and not the clickbait shit that mis-interprets news to case debate and get more clicks..

even fox news is guilty of generating false stories to gain popularity. BBC news, sky news. yes im talking about mainstream media. so what do you think low viewer count bitcoin media are going to do to garner more viewers.. yep thats right. twist/exaggerate stories to get people reading.

so whenever you see a story. gloss over the points they mention and find the source of their assumptions. then read the source material and make your own opinion based on the source. not the spoonfed opinion created by media

the (elected) Russian government does not like the things they can not control
bitcoin is just a computer science program
No, "Computers for Retards" is a computer science program. You're thinking "computer program." In which case, so is ransomware.

Klimenko also said what is now becoming a consensus among authorities in Russia in that bitcoin or ‘money surrogates’ can be a threat to the economy. Furthermore, the internet advisor to Putin claimed that other countries around the world will put a stop to Bitcoin when it becomes too big or critical.

Russia already started making rules making bitcoin less and less usable and that's probably because BTC shows there currency and it's real strength and they can't regulate it like foreign currencies exchange values, countries in general loves to be able to regulate and control anything specially in a country with an-almost-kingdom style.

Luckily, Russians have a very unique attitude towards the definition of crime. Sadly, I feel Russia is about to miss another train to the future due to their leaders' cold-war mindset. Looking at the past and trying to return to 'greatness' is not the right way to actually get there. Just my 2 cents.
