waffle from clickbait sites

so you want to use clickbait as your evidence..
again.. dont give coindesk links or forklog links.. and give the Lenta.ru or even a government news link which meant to be the source of a guy that just arrived in his job 1 month ago, who has not even made a draft himself, or any amendments (as they wont be done before february 20th)

so show me the quote on Lenta.ru which all the clickbait crypto sites have copy and pasted but not directly linked

please show the source, not the mis-interpretted and twisted comment out of context on the clickbait sites.. the actual source please

I'll help you out with Google translate. The red text is "correctional labor for up to two years."
You're dangerous, bro.

how about you read the source.. its not about citizens setting up an exchange in their basement (thats a 40,000 ruble fine)
its not a business (thats atmost 100,000 fine)

its for corrupt lawyers and banks"legal entities" who do not register as using money surrogates.

see even you take things out of context. READ THE SOURCE!

How about you figure out that the source you keep quoting has nothing to do with the recent articles?
How about there is no source of words allegedly spoken a couple of days ago?
How about you explain to me why I should ignore every Bitcoin news site & listen to you, whose claim to fame is mastery of Google Translate?
How old r u bro?

Recently appointed Internet advisor German Klimenko told Russian-language online news service Lenta.ru that the acceptance of bitcoin payments constitutes a crime.

According to a translation by Russian bitcoin news site ForkLog, Klimenko told Lenta.ru:

"Bitcoin is not the first one, there are other settlement means. Accepting bitcoin as a payment for anything is unacceptable because it is a crime."

The orange stuff? That ain't Sunny D, that's the alleged quote Smiley

Oh ok.

But that means if I use btc as a business but register the exchanges and pay the taxes, I won't have any problem no? Cause in this case it's just very similar to anything existing anywhere in the world!
Russian? Use google.

i do love it when people read "advisor SUGGESTS exchanging bitcoin is a crime"

the readers think
"touching bitcoin will get you in jail"

where as the truth is
"being an unregistered money business exchanging different forms of money (including bitcoin) will lead to an administrative fine"

Franky, has the Bitcoin media conspired against us? Is there *ANYONE LEFT* who's not out to get us?

Crypto Swap Exchange
That's true and that has been the case for Russian people AFAIK there are some of which (including a friend of mine there) that do have mining farms and so far nothing has been done actually to either confiscate their mining equipment's or act upon them since they earn BTCitcoin through pool mining and what I think is happening here is that they only want to promote the use of their own money (most of the people in power there) but there are also some who are against this (since Dec,2014 Russia's Ministry of Economic Development has been more of a supporter of BTCitcoin: https://www.rt.com/news/218019-bill-ban-bitcoin-russia/). As much as I love Putin, he seems to know take any action towards his words against banning BTCitcoin (at least until now).

What would stop other countries to do same, i.e., making bitcoin and other coins illegal, except those run on private blockchains of banks or some government organizations?

And do you really think this will stop the people using it, just because some governments declared it illegal to keep on pushing their fiat scam?!
No, Bitcoin use won't vanish, only non-criminal Bitcoin users will. And you won't be able to buy regular, legal stuff with BTC. You still will be able to buy drugs and child porn though. Hurray!

Have drugs been disappeared although they are illegal almost everywhere around the world?
The honeybadger won't care!!People will still use it.And the more our beloved leaders try to illegalize it the more anonymous and venomous Bitcoin and crypto currencies in general will become. That's a fact!
Right. Bitcoin for drugs/guns/CP. For everything else, there's MasterCard Smiley

this one is just like when government forbid torrenting activities or pirating any files, no one give a shit and this one can be easily bypassed, accepting bitcoin in real world in russia is indeed risky but in the internet everything could be happening

Yes, that's true. Except if they ever decide to put a Great Firewall like in China, they will never be able to censor the Internet.

Russia should really consider taking away the ban of Bitcoin. Well, one more thing you can add to the original post is that ... according to Alexa, Bitcointalk.org is mostly visited by bot people in - Russia 13.4% of visitors. Bitcointalk.org have a Alexa rank of #3348 in Alexa RU. :p.

Nah, it's more like your government banning child porn. Yeah, it's all digital, you can trade it, but get popped? Suddenly, ur bein' Serezjenka's biatch in some God-forsaken Siberian gulag, when you two lovebirds aren't digging rotten potatoes out of frozen mud, that is.

Shit, did I leave the stove on?
What will happen to Localbitcoins in Russia now? Are the trades considered money for personal use or for profit and thus needing a license to trade in the first place?

I don't understand a few thing here.
Why accepting of BTC payments are crime in Russia?
How Russians plan to control bitcoin payments?
I'm not sure if they really have idea what is bitcoin and that it's impossible to block Bitcoin, unless they decide to stop Internet in Russia.
They already have a lot financial difficulties so it will be better to use bitcoin as secondary currency and through this they will receive a lot benefits for their own economy.

its not a crime as in prison.. its civil.. like parking tickets

so at best you can get a money sanction?

i'm curious about the amount they will charge you to use bitcoin, i just think this is a big excuse just to tax it more easily...
