Crypto was not legal in Russia before this decision ?
i saw many projects of Russia which launched their ICO , for example Credits .
so without being legal how they did it .

Legalization sounds like a joke,but lets see what will happen to russia after it accepts cryptocurrencies as a currency,lets hope the market will still be in bull run so that we wont be wasting and time and effort from other things,it will surely makes the market bulls to attract new investors if it is really going to happen if ever.

So, as far as I concerned, Russia (you mean Russian government, right? Since Russia as its people is accepting crypto since the very inception of Bitcoin) may start accepting crypto... but it will be their very own crypto, centralized, emitted by the Central Bank and controlled by the oligarchs.

It is extremely unlikely, that the existing regime in Russiaa will allow any substantial use for any other monetary tool, other than the official RUB. It's simple heir way of management - total control.

Agreed. This post looks like rumor. Even if Russia legalize cryptocurrency they'll grab her with a dead grip. Their policy configured on the ban and not soft regulation. The same as Chinese policy. So I wouldn't expect any good news. Undecided

This is a good and welcome development and it will definitely boost the crypto market. I am optimistic that some countries will also follow suit. I also just read today that Russia is about to tax crypto traders and miners. Well, i think Russia is fully set to do as said and it will also boost their economy. The tax to be collected will raise their GDP.

2017 was a bad year for cryptocurrencies in Russia and we all are aware about their Love-Hate relations with cryptos. Their banks also welcome blockchain in their systems, but maintain a different stance when it comes to bitcoin. Most of the news portals were initially banned but now their supreme court has paved a safer way to display those ads by following a protocol.
Definitely a positive news for all our Russian brothers out there
