With all this talk about the Vega 56 accepting an Vega 64 bios, I was wondering the same thing with the RX 560. Anyone ever try flashing a 570 or 580 bios in there?

damn, both times NO. where is the patcher?

btw.
I did modify the bios on some RX 580 and that worked without patching drivers and saved bios from GPU-Z, so I thought that must be something different not working on my side

Patcher:
https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

Up to the certain AMD driver there was no need to patch drivers (about 1y or so ago, I think)

GPU-Z is not 100% bad, its just random if it'll mess up saving BIOS...its usually when
you save bios and its size is 512KB instead normal 256KB size

Shoutout to Branko for getting me to 15MH. Everyone buy his mod Smiley Good dude.

hi,

maybe someone has an idea what's wrong.

I have the "Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 560 4GD5, 4GB GDDR5, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, lite retail (11267-00-20G)"
it came with Micron memory. I saved bios and tried with any BIOS editor I found to copy the 1625 or 1750 strap to the later ones.

the problem is:
after flashing the card is no longer detected by miner (claymore, sgminer), also after re-install of drivers. in atiflash the card is shown as polaris 11 and not RX 560, like it was before and after re-flashing of the original/unmodiefied bios. in gpu-z it also shows different then before.

also the miners crash with beta blockchain aug23, 17.6.2 is working ok. OS is win7 x64

If needed I upload the bios.
actually it's doing dual eth/dcr (dcri 45) on dag8 with 11,3/500, only had to +20% PT in TRIXX 6.5

any thoughts how to tune memory?

Hopefully you saved it with ati flasher and not gpu-z?
You patched drivers after flashing card?

I have a power color 560 with hynix memory and is only getting 12.4 MHS with 1750 strap and memory at 2050.
Does anyone else have any experience with those cards? What is the best I can get. It does not have another power connector just the riser.

Probably about 14MH/s...I'd really like to see if any manufacturer put real 7GHz memory instead 6GHz on Hynix versions of RX560s,
but seems no brave enough people to remove coolers and take pictures...I'd really like to make BIOS for real 7GHz part

Mind making me a mod for my card? Smiley

I can take it apart and take a pic this weekend. But just out of curiosity, why not make a 7000 Rom, I flash it and if it bricks our fired than we know lol. It's quicker, I can test it tonight.

Tell me what you need, I can do it this weekend.
Also, what bios are u using to get 14. Just 1500 strap or something custom.

Also according to the specs it is 7000.

My Gigabyte is 7GHz too...but that just means its already factory overclocked

If you look at this picture

you can see R0C marking...thats 6GHz part, R2C is 7GHz, and R4C is 8GHz...I guess theres shortage of memory chips

You can check for yourself here:

whats the best you can do to a xfx 560 micron single fan?

About 14.8 if card doesn't have additional power connector, 15.5 if it has it.
Everything above 15.5 is just question of cooling memory...gigabyte has advantage that
metal part of cooler covers memory chips too...I don't know about any other card like that, but
if it exists, it should be able to reach 16MH/s too

It does have additional power.

Ah ok, yeah Dual mining tends to perform better on most 560's for some reason, haha... but you already are. Not sure why you aren't hitting atleast 14.5MH honestly.

And reason is that people don't use -dcri when single mining, and they should

I read somewhere you released a bios for 16+mh? link? or how much?

Its very specific BIOS...just for Gigabyte RX560 with micron memory and dual fans

hi guys.
i hv 2 different brands of rx560 both 4gb.
HIS RX 560 GREEN iCooler OC 4 GB and (hynix)
PowerColor Red Dragon RX 560 OC 4 GB (micron)

fresh win10 1703
blockchain workloads aug23 driver (tried aug11, crimson 17.9.1)

ive tried copying various timing straps, 1500 1625 1750 1875 2000 and even try editing bios from other users tht was able to get 14-15mhs ive even tried Branko's micron bios, also tried the polaris 1.6.2 oneclick timing patch, the results i get is the same, max 13.6mhs, i can even reach this with stock bios on the HIS gpu @default gpuclock 1196 and @ 2100mclock. now im running the HIS gpu @ 1625 timing straps and 1900mclock and get around the same hashrate as default bios, and if i go higher mclock then its not stable. am i missing something? and should i leave the TDP TDC and max power limit or should i chg it to 60 80 80? does it affect the hashrate?

and the 2nd issue im having is not getting the actual hashrate when i run multi gpu (6pin usb risers). only one gpu hash normally at 13.x and others 12.6mhs. is it due to my old core2duo lga775 motherboard? power is sufficient. if i try only 1 gpu at a time at different pcie slots it will hash normally. but when i run all 4 only 1 will and other 3 will hash slower. should i edit the pcie voltage +0.01 0.02 0.03 in mb bios  Shocked
dag creation time is 95xx ms and  107xx 107xx 107xx ms

also anyone using sapphire rx480 8gb ref model(single fan)? a friend of mine wanna get rid of it at a good price wondering should i get it. shouldnt be a problem getting 25-26mhs? but maybe high temp?

thx for reading guys ive read thru alot of old posts and still not able to figure it out.

Try dual mining Wink

oopps does it affect? sry for not putting in but im actually dual mining ethdcr and the rate is eth 13.6 dcr 400mhs and other 3 eth 12.6 dcr 380mhs
