I just buy 4x Gigabyte Rx 560 4gb. They are not bad at all. With bios mod 13.7-14mh/s per card with 75w. Stock they are 12-12.3mh/s. The only problem is that they need more space. I think can reduce the power consuption up to 40-45w, but I will try this later. If Asrock start seling there new mobo with 13 slots this alternative can make more hashrate then 6xrx580, but new nvidia cards are on the front door and after some days it seams pointless to buy this cards, just because 14mh/s is the max and you need more slots. IF the new Gp106-100 can take up to 30mh/s will be the best gpu ever for mining.

Put the Gp106-100 GPU out of mind... it was reported from a website that has been known to be unreliable. Other rumors said it would only be sold in bulk to large miners anyway.

Either way, we live in the now and the reality is, RX 560's are a pretty good value along with GTX 1060. The density is low with RX560 but provided you can get enough of them setup for cheap, it shouldn't be a bad option.

What's bios mod?

Did you strap 1625 timings into 1750?

RX 560 and 550s are pretty much sold out in my region as well.
The price performance ratio is good for now but the only thing to consider is the bigger DAG files in the future, aka it's not future proof. But I rmb someone estimating that DAG won't go pass 4GB before 2018 Sept, so you have enough time to ROI.

What are your Settings? I've got the Gigabyte 4GB but haven't been able to get more than 11 Mh/s, even with overclocking.

Here are a few pics of the RX560 setup :

Equihash seems to suck on them... at least on the completely stock settings.

Do they have a pcie power plug?
If not, keep in mind it's drawing all that current though the motherboard

Actually you are just using powered USB risers and the problem is solved.

Definitely -- they are all on PCI-E power plugs.

IMHO... if you are an "all in" kinda of person the RX560 is a good deal at $119.99 USD or less.

Meaning... if you want to mine long term go for it. If you want to ROI in 60-days be wary.

Frankly... and this may be the bourbon talking... I am treating this as a hobby which should lose money but just so happens not to at the moment. Building and tweaking these machines is a blast. I'll have about 60 machines running by the end of July.

If they pull 15 MH/s they are a good buy tbh.

Under 14...? Not so much.

Sell value drops MUCH MORE for mid and high end than low end.

You can hardly find used 750tis under 60 euro in Italy, e.g. Meanwhile 280s run for 90.

These cards are not worth it. They will have very bad resell value since they suck at gaming. I think the 1060 is a much better buy.

I built a rig with 4x RX560... if you get them cheap it's just fine, IMHO. Performs almost identical to 2x RX580 cards.

But seems like 4GB RX560 are getting scarce too... so I ordered 37 more nVidia cards.

Can you share with us the hashrate you got with these cards ? And what model are you using ? Thanks !

Sure thing! No BIOS mods at all & the following on the command line :

-dual=Decred -dcri 33 -tt 74 -fanmin 50 -fanmax 90 -mclock 2000 -mvddc 925 -cclock 1000 -cvddc 900

I am getting ~12.2 per card on Ether and ~200 per card on Decred dual mining.

When I was on one card I put DCRI up to 35 and got the same on Eth and 220 on Decred -- I may try that again with all four but haven't had a chance on that machine.

I am using Gigabyte 4 GB "Gaming OC" cards.

I too believe RX560 is quite a good card for mining and a good buy right now.

15 MH/s for 110$ish is pretty good imo.
My question is - can you actually get 15 mh/s? Or is it more like 10-11 mh/s? Has anyone tried to mod the bios? I would say that at 15 - yes, it's probably not a bad buy given the situation. At 9-11, not sure how I feel.

Guys what PSU are you using for these? I was wondering if 650W could handle 8 480s? With low 40W technically it should... What do you think?
