Well there is no way to "delete" your account . So what he offers is actually quite right by the words of "delete" . Perhaps you can offer other name for this service?

Some people back then posted in meta on how to delete an account, so it is not surprising that some one may just want to delete his account rather than to sell it


If you read it carefully this is not just about changing the password of the account but also to delete posts + PM making the account looks like doesnt exist at all

Why would I pay you if I can change the password myself,without being possible to recover it?

Hey guys, don't take my feedback as bad, what i say i just my point of view. I know shorena is a trust user here on the forum and he don't have the intentions to keep the accounts. That was just an scenario.

My point was, he can't give what he offer. "Delete" is not the right word for this service.

If he could join to the DB and Delete all the info, that would be a true user deletion, but editing all post and deleting al PM, will not delete the account from the data base.

And now i ask my self, Why users what to delete their accounts if they can sell it?

By the way, i think shorena is a good and trusted user on this forum and he don't have bad intentions, he was as all we, searching that business opportunity, and the idea was very original. I really hope he get some BTC with this service.

Yes your account is still here in the database as it has been stated in OP that admin could restore the account which means that the account never vanished from database here.

Not just changed to random info but also delete your posts and PM. Random info as if no one will be able to access it no more, not you not shorena either and the account is not "under his control" and you could clearly known if your account is under shorena's control or not since if someone suddenly login into the account after it has been "deleted" than the person could be only shorena



Not truly "delete" yes but if you got all your posts, PM and the other info deleted, sooner or later no one will ever know that your account existed in here. That is why the words "Delete" is appropriate to be used

Shorena deletes posts. If you trust Shorena, you will know he/she will change password to a random one so that he/she can't access it. Else, don't use this service or use this while thinking you are doing a giveaway.

The title say; "I delete your account" but what you really do is "just to remove your access to the account."

If you tell me that you will delete my account i would expect.

-Delete my user from the data base
-Delete past post

But if i give you my user, mail and pass just to be changed for a random info;

1.-My account still here.
2.-Now my account is under your control and if 10 users get the service you will have 10 new accounts.

I really like the concept of deleting accounts, but what you do is not really delete them.

I wish you good luck with this service, i not interested on it but the idea is very original and i want to share my point of view.

Some will want to delete their account due to not wanting associations to it any longer, seems like a rare thing but occassionaly you will find people who want this.

Removal of posts is extra, the basic service is just to remove your access to the account.

What do you mean by "delete"? Remove all posts a user makes?

I'm not sure I get what you are trying to do because can't I just delete the account by myself?

The purpose is to no longer be able to access your account, ever. E.g. if someone had a bad time here and wants to leave, I can help. If someone had a very good time here, but the forum takes too much time and they have a problem to stop I can help as well. As it was pointed out in the past, that is surely something many can do themselves, but so is baking bread or mowing the lawn. Its more convenient to have someone else take care of it.


No, you dont get the account back, that is the service I am offering. It would be possible for an admin to restore the account though. I have no say in what theymos does or does not do. I keep the passwords for 4 week to give some time in case of a hack. I want to make sure as best as I can that the victim of a hack does not lose the account because of me.

For those that just need a break, to stay away for a few weeks, I also offer that I do not delete the passwords, but send them back to the owner. That is not the main reason I made the thread though. I saw many asking in meta "can you delete my account please" and thus thought I could do the next best thing for someone that wants to leave for good.

I've read what you've presented above, it almost has a specific, detailed and clear now. But perhaps because of my language skills are not

good or I do not have much knowledge, so I still do not understand what is the purpose of this service ?

I see you've said that, I put my account for you so that you deleted posts, messages , change password,...But but I do not see what you say to the

account for my return. And if you return or admin recover it, I would do with it, I need to do with it ? Do I need to change or modify something or

not ? where all the information about my account you already know all...

Generally, after I use your service, I will get something back from it ?

this is interesting project, since we cannot delete own account. the question is why the forum is not provide a feature to delete our account 

What exactly is your question? I personally think I have everything explained that needs explaining otherwise I would have written more in the OP or updated the post by now. If you have a specific question you need answers Im very happy to give you an answer, but "explain it for more information" is not something I can come up with an answer for sorry.


I hope you dont actually want to leave and this is just an example or thought experiment. Its true I currently dont have a fixed price on "clean-SAD", thus my offer is based on the time it took in the past to remove and assess 100 posts and the minimal wage for germany.

basic SAD - 0.001
PMs - free
4350 posts @ 8.50 EUR per 100 posts and BTC/EUR @ ~206 today = 4350/100 * 8.5/206 = 1.7949 BTC
total - 1.795 BTC

Id probably add "long-SAD" for free since you are on DefaultTrust and get in contact with BadBear to have the account removed after the 4 weeks have passed. Although I would have no reason to wait that long as you probably would sign a message with your PGP key.
Keep in mind that this includes a personal analysis of every post in the context of the thread it was posted it. Every thread that can not be deleted would be reported to mods and asked to be moved into archival. PMs would be deleted without any further checks and in bulk (the board offers a button for that). Considering that you often write lengthy posts in complex threads regarding scams 100 posts per hour is probably not realistic. On the other hand I can hardly charge you more because you have been more active in busting scammers than others, can I?

Disclaimer: when I say "deleted" its referring to whatever is possible under the given circumstances. I have no access to the boards backups and or other accounts you have send PMs to or received from. Posts do not actually get deleted from the database either, but hidden from all but admins AFAIK.

How much would you charge for an account with 4350 posts, 5,000 PM's in their inbox and 4,800 PM's in their outbox? There is no rush on a quote, and by the time your service is utilized the above numbers will probably have increased somewhat.

Probably for the same reason why people dont read a thread before writing a reply. Everyone is different.

Why would anyone on the forum want to delete their account - for money?! You could sell it, keep it, change your password yourself etc. But why pay for deleting something?!
If there are sad peiple that want to delete their account :
Give it to me  I am more than happy to change all your security data and keep it as mine

The good (or sad) feeling that you will no longer be able to access the account.

In detail:

New random account password,
New random mail password,
New random security answer with 128 bit entropy each.
Generated and stored offline.
New random mail address with 32 bit entropy,
regular data removal (rm account.txt) after 4 weeks.
