Today we are experiencing a virus and that is the coronavirus or the NCov19 that is becoming pandemic immediately in just a single week and today there are a lot of people still going outside even there is a quarantine. The reason why? They need to go outside just to buy foods and things they need and also pay their bills they are prone to the virus also the virus can now be attached to the tangible things like money if they are already infected and touch the money with the virus it is rapidly spreading immediately. And today it is good to introduce the use of cryptocurrency or the bitcoin using online payment because it is more faster and secured they don't need to go outside too to pay other things they need and it is better if we are spreading those information so they can now made online payment and let's stop spreading of virus.
Still a large part of population doesn't know about cryptocurrency or even using it due to lack of digital equipment, internet connection and knowledge about it. It's not easy to encourage people to use bitcoin because some of them are afraid of scam or don't want to learn it. I have a friend I taught about bitcoin but he doesn't like it because for her it was difficult to understand. Much better for her to sing rather than to learn about cryptocurrency.. What i mean is not all people is interested in crypto although the truth is ,bitcoin could be an alternative payments and income on this current situation of pandemic.

Well, hacking cryptocurrency wallets has become a sad reality nowadays. I remember the case of BlackWallet for instance..I use a bank card with a hot crypt wallet linked to it. For me it looks safer as athe bank card has many levels of protection so does the crypto wallet. The card is called balckcatcard, if you are interested

I do not think that covid and its anti paper money measures will increase the usage of bitcoin by that much, it will rather increase the usage of credit and debit cards among the people.

I agree with you, the outside World dosen't really trust bitcoin because of it volatile nature that can make it reduce in price over night and coupled with the fact that this is a time where the whole world is facing global crisis, people woupd prefer to use a currency that isn't volatile which really left it to cashless transactions with the use of mobile apps transfer, credit and debit cards usages

It already is doing it. Many stores in my area have stickers on doors and on the counters saying that they urge clients to use cashless transactions.

I think it's stupid because store employees use masks and gloves so it doesn't really matter if you pay with cash or a card. If you're sick you're going to touch things around you anyway like shopping carts, bags, car handles.

I don't see Bitcoin becoming more popular now when countries are lifting restrictions.

Havent you realized that people do already get involved with e-payments for a long time now? If fiat would be restricted then they would just simply using up their debit or credit cards
on buying up their goods and avail service without the involved of fiat money.

Im not too negative about this and with bitcoin but its too hard to believe on that people would recognize bitcoin usage just because of this pandemic. There might be some but
wont really talk about the majority.

Online transactions are indeed safe but we know people where they do stick out on traditional things that we've known.

Indeed. Using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as an alternative payment will help us not to catch and spread the virus because we can avoid having physical contact with different people when going to stores, malls, and other public places, that is why it is much better if countries will accept bitcoin during the pandemic because it could really reduce the virus cases.

Realistically, do people really use Bitcoin to pay for their groceries and other things? Infact, there are just a handful of merchants who're accepting Bitcoin as a payment method in the country, and some of them actually stopped accepting Bitcoin due to lack of access of payment from actual Bitcoin users.
Honestly, a lot of investors don't want to spend a single fragment of Bitcoin just to pay for something even essentials. Most of us here consider Bitcoin as a store of value, holding it until the price hits new heights then sell.

If we're talking about the cashless transaction, there are really a lot of options out there, and honestly, Bitcoin is far from being one of the primary options. You have debits and cc, linked it to your account and order online. Bitcoin is still relatively young as a currency, there still a lot of room for Bitcoin to improve the scalability problem and transaction speed.

Totally agree, the number of merchants that accept cryptocurrency is limited and most people do not hold Bitcoin to be used as a medium of exchange, rather as an investment tool. I rarely use my bitcoin to pay my utilities or bills, as much as possible I would keep them and use fiat or pay my bills online using our local currency.

We are way too far from mass adaptation, and there are still merchants or commodities that cannot be paid using crypto.

Coronavirus and forced restriction measures are not a sufficient catalyst for people to start using bitcoin instead of the fiat money they are used to.
Bitcoin is safe due to the lack of physical referents, but fiat money also has a lot of digital incarnations, which allows you to remotely pay for anything that is really nice anywhere.

The whole world has gone online, and fiat currencies along with it.
Reconstruction of classical monetary systems is necessary for the rise of bitcoin, but where is the guarantee that this will not affect bitcoin for the worse.

The best thing to do is to go to the banks, withdraw the funds, and deposit it to your cryptocurrency wallet. T

This is a weird area here. Would have done such step immediately if the grocery stores, hospitals and other entities vital to the life forgot fiat money and accept cryptocurrency. But for now it’s just a pipe dream for my country. In other lands, I think the situation is not better with that.

How could any institution forget fiat money, as you say? They are depending on it as well as the whole financial and economy system. How could they accept cryptocurrencies that are volatile, risky and not regulated? Besides, general acceptance of cryptocurrencies in the world is still very low. People, let's be realistic. In current shape and system cryptocurrencies can't replace fiat money and that is not even their role.

In these days of pandemic proper hygiene is really important. Physical contacts must be lessen. This is one of the opportunity of cryptocurrency because it may lessen the physical contacts of people. With cryptocurrency, someone can just load his or her account and pay their bills online.

In cashless transactions we can lessen the spread of virus and it is more safe than having a cash on hand. If someone want to buy foods and other stuff they just have to get their phone, order products and pay online. Using that form we can make ourselves safer in any virus. Because any passing of tangible things can spread the virus rapidly and it is so dangerous.

With the use of electromic wallets if you need a load or store money in an application may help you more.

Having electronic payments can lessen the physical handling and practice social distancing.

Bitcoin is an experimental new currency that is in active development. Each improvement makes Bitcoin more appealing but also reveals new challenges as Bitcoin adoption grows thats why bitcoin is safe Wink

Your words are countering each other. You said that it is an experimental new currency but also said that it is safe. In my opinion, it is not an experimental right now, it is not new either. Store of value or currency, thay depends on what you wanted it to be. Bitcoin is being developed to be adopted more, and we all hope it will be faster in the near future.

I also hope that bitcoin can be a payment, so that it can prevent us from being infected by the corona virus. But the obstacles are not
all countries giving bitcoin permission as payment and also the number of stores that accept bitcoin payments is still small. So it is indeed
difficult to adopt bitcoin now. Hopefully the government changes its mind in order to provide a policy on bitcoin, so that it can be used
as payment.

Bitcoin is useful, but the thing is that if these people were going to make their purchase online, majority of them would have done so by using other payment methods. Just like we already have the debit card method that most of these online shopping sites use, or the PayPal payment method. So, if they wanted to make use of online stores they would have done that.

But, the truth is that these people just want to go out. I can remember that during the quarantine/lockdown, there were people that still went to celebrate birthday and cops were called on them. They were told to leave the party and go back indoors, but they were all proving stubborn. It’s quite annoying how people be misbehaving. Majority of them already know about BTC but don’t use it.

If we go on merchant who accept cryptos then I will agree for that matter but actually the adoption is not wide as you think since there are certain countries who still doesn't accept totally the crypto on their payment system and if you live on the country who are not technology updated for sure you will struggle if you are holding bitcoins for transactions. Hopefully bitcoins gather more attention for merchants right now since indeed this is a great and safest option for people to transact with less contact to the other entities.
That's true, not all countries accept bitcoin today,

Also, even those who do not prohibits the usage of bitcoin, there are only a few store/businesses that accept bitcoin as their mode of payment. Even if this might be the great chance to spread how convenient bitcoin is, if we can't use it anywhere, it is no use.

Yes,bitcoin will be a good idea, option,or alternative payment method to help not spreading virus because you can transact inside your house as long as you have data or internet to connect. But the problem is ,not all people are already using bitcoin and if you forced them to use bitcoin now that they don't have enough knowledge about it,i think this is not a good idea. For us,it's really helped. Even me ,i used my bitcoin to pay our bills because in our country there is an apps that you can send your bitcoin and use it directly for bills payments and buy loads. Very helpful. I hope many people will also discover the usage of bitcoin and accept it someday. It could be a great help for this pandemic situation.

Definitely, you are right. Bitcoin is really the most easiest way to manage our bills and other online purchases with the comfort of our home. It was really helpful to people in this pandemic time...and with all of that, we need to be very careful in exchanging money and other transactions in different ways. In order to be safe, we need to secure our wallet, put too much care like in real life wallet, as we are in control of our money. It is being said that such great features of Bitcoin also comes with great security concerns. At the same time, Bitcoin can provide very high levels of security if used correctly. We also need to remember that it is our responsibility to adopt good practices in order to protect our money.

It's indeed a good idea to maximize the use of cryptocurrency especially in a crisis like this where the virus can't be seen but when we say online transactions, there are other options other than crypto and I think that's what people are trying to adapt first before crypto. I have seen in my country that a lot of people are already selling and buying things online, but they still use fiat in paying because for them that's more convenient which I totally understand as well.

But we can also use this opportunity to start teaching friends and family about crypto and spread awareness about this innovation because it will be a big help today and even in the future. It's difficult for people to adapt to changes that easy, even if we use crypto for payment transactions, not every seller can understand crypto that easily.

even the latest report is quite surprising that in Europe and America, the corona virus has made changes with more dangerous transmission is estimated to be 10x faster than the initial one.
obviously "physical distancing" really determines that transmission can be controlled. I agree with the technology that manual payment with banknotes is not recommended because it can carry viruses, it is better to shop online and payments are also the same online, this is a very important suggestion in the current pandemic situation.

The best thing to do is to go to the banks, withdraw the funds, and deposit it to your cryptocurrency wallet. There, you would not need to worry about transacting and physical distancing because, in the first place, you don't need to go outside as paying your bills could be done through the phone.

With people always negating the idea of bitcoin and digital currencies, I think it's time for us to take advantage of the situation and to make them feel the urge and importance of digital transactions in accordance to the crisis. I have one relative that sanitizes her money in order to buy good from the market. I advised her to use crypto because no matter how much she sanitizes her cash, she's always got a change to sanitize and it's very inconvenient just to make sure her transactions are safe.
