Is trezor just the same with the basic electrum?
I am just using electrum now which is okay for me and it synchronize faster than any other wallet.
Works for me who dont have much patience when it comes to waiting for my bitcoin to come.

There are a lot of ways to keep your bitcoin save and secure ,some people use the offline wallets to keep their bitcoin save from hacking it has a private key and no one else can know about it and a lot of people are using cold storage it is also known as hardware wallet you just need to install on your computer or laptop you can use your cell phone for it. 
now i still use online wallet xapo and blockchain but i'm so sure these wallet compared to Trezor still better Trezor very much in security aspect. actually i prefer Trezor to keep coin for secure but we should needs more money to buy Trezor.
