As I experienced, to keep your bitcoins in safest way is to put it on a wallet that you own a private key in any software wallet. But the number one safetiest and secured wallet is a hardware wallet which is Trezor. Viruses also cannot enter into trezor.

Agree holding the private key for your wallet is the safest way to store bitcoin that is why I am getting myself a Trezor or Ledger Nano S as bitcoin value is really high now and hackers are everywhere.

Don't know why people don't trust e-wallets. I have several years of using online wallets and there was not a single case of hacking. Always quickly and conveniently transfer or receive bitcoins. I think offline wallet is uncomfortable and it does not guarantee 100% safety.

The safest way to store your bitcoins in an offline wallet is safer to prevent hacking into your wallet. If you use online wallet you should equip with google authenticator and verification phone number. May prevent hacking from your wallet.

What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!
You can keep your bitcoin on offline wallet or use electrum  wallet i think that is the safest way. I used electrum since last year you can keep your bitcoin on cold storage until you don't want to convert it.
Try some online wallet and offline wallet search for a good one wallet then you can keep your bitcoin safe.
You have a small amount, and you will do trading means use any online wallet it is easy to way to transact your bitcoins with one site to another site. Or you want to save your Bitcoin for a long time use offline wallet. Electrum is the best wallet to save your bitcoins. Before I used to save my bitcoins in blockchain but now I shifted my bitcoins to Electrum wallet.

If it is an investment to HODL you should have cold storage.
If you need to spend them and use them for trading - then you need hardware wallet (like Trezor or Ledger)
That's it

If you don't have a lot of bitcoins, i think it is quite safe to keep them in online wallet. Of course if you have more, you should keep them in cold storage. It is not that hard to make one, and it's probably safest way to keep your bitcoins, as long as you don't lose/destroy it.

I really wouldn't recommend you to keep bitcoins in exchange, you probably haven't think of it, but if you did then don't. It's very risky to keep your bitcoins there.

I am really not a fan of the hardware wallets and so on, once you lose the hardware, i don't know if there is any way of recovering your bitcoin. i believe there will soon be cryptocurrency banks where you can store your cryptos like in normal banks we have today.

An ideal way I surmise that you can do in safe putting away bitcoins is simply utilizing a wallet seed or wallet private key and don't store it on the pc rather compose it on some paper so you would keep it and if your pc got hacked then he can't get that private key

We can easily lose them don't you think?
But we can have them stored in PC, not the one you use some other PC? or you can use USB drive.
You can protect your PC by using some antivirus software with high security features.
Concur with your feeling and we can utilize google drive too

Make more than one wallet I think and don't put your bitcoin in just one wallet. Atleast if someone hack your account you still save something.
This is also one of a good idea we can have multiple wallets, but of course we also need to memorize all of it or save every details of your wallets so that you will not lose your bitcoin once you forgot your password from another wallet.  Grin
To use multiple wallet may one type of solution, but not longer, as what I believed. Right now, I'm using Electrum mobile wallet that gives me pleasure!

You can use the bitcoin wallet in Electrum or Mutibit. In these places you can add the multiple wallet seeds in one wallet. Hence, wallet can be used like a multiple wallet and different address.
If you are worry about password for the each seed, you can have the same password or most usable password for your own.

I think saving it in a hardware wallet is more secure because you're the one who is handling the wallet and you're sure it won't go anywhere. Unlike with online wallets, you need to enter a safe password and you need to check it most of the time.
Well there will always be drawback in everything, I mean it sure does have the most security and all of that but the thing is what if somehow your PC got a very dangerous virus. Then all of you Bitcoin will vanish and will never be recovered. So at the end it is also beneficial to have an Online Wallet for mobility and versatility.

Software wallet, the wallet.dat and other files backed up on USB, the textual info, like username and passphrases written into a text file, not saved and a smartphone takes a picture of that text file that is then deleted without ever saving the data.
I agree, but my opinion will it better if we also have a safety net in the form of hardware that has the private key as well. bitcoin wallet actually is also safe for its users as long as we have the key to every willing to open it. and we should also always check back or monitor our wallets as frequently as possible to anticipate the occurrence of unwanted things.

COLD STORAGE! COLD STORAGE! COLD STORAGE! An offline wallet cannot be accessed and consequently hacked.

I agree that cold storage is the best way. For newbies, electrum could be the best option.
You can store your coins in cold storage and all you have to do is save the seed in a safe place.

not guarantee Cheesy because hacker is always watching you :p
