Updates on SatoshiDICE.com
  • We have solved the delay problems that the classic Satoshi Dice game was suffering from. Bets are now usually processed within a minute. We will optimize further to make the processing even faster within a few days.
  • We have reinstated the longpoll.php. You can see the HOW TO PLAY -> ADVANCED TIPS to the how this script may help your betting bot.
  • The fee on payouts is now set to 0.0001 instead of 0.0005.
  • Our Twitter account at https://twitter.com/SatoshiDICE is now posting a tweet every time there's a big win. 1Em7BbCw was lucky and won 290+ Bitcoins within acouple of minutes yesterday!

On an unrelated matter: what's up with the low maximum bets? The max you can win at the moment is 0.125 at any given percentage. It used to be much much higher! AS recent as May you could win 65 btc on a single bet. Did the site loose a good part of its bankroll?

IF 0.125 is max then not interested in. When I used to play back to Jan it was possible to win quite huge amounts. Don't remember exactly, but placed many times 2 - 10 btc bets if I remember correctly. Change for big win gave some excitement which now gone if its not anymore possible ?!

max bets increase soon along with the new version of the site. coming soon!

seems like they have some dynamic adjustment of the max bet going on.
From the site:
Quote
Min/Max Bets

Because there is only a limited pool of funds to back bets, there is a max bet for each bet option. The max changes periodically also as bets are processed making what was previously a valid bet invalid as other bets are processed and paid. In this case, the bet will be returned before evaluating for win or loss. SatoshiDice is the best Bitcoin game in existence. The Intelligence is sure you will agree.
Anyway, who is still playing it, now that you can't verify the outcome? Shocked

The only time I have see bets returned like this is when you bet over the limit.  I don't know what is going on.  I would hold off on all bets until SatoshiDICE has a statement.

Its happened more and more the last few months; seems like they have some dynamic adjustment of the max bet going on. Somebody wins and the max bet immediately goed down so your bet that was within the limits suddenly isn't anymore. That being said, if even bets of 0.015 on the 50% aren't processed anymore........

and lol at maximum bets and odds:

I keep sending bets and the wining bets dont get multiplied . look https://blockchain.info/address/1M8sgQokVvshrGcqJFNDnXhsMvG9KvECQ5
I lost money on this.
https://blockchain.info/address/18eE8SQz24cDGS9DEJWE3BPKjH68kr5Vwg second address .
Please fix it and give me my winnings so I can continue playing.

In your later transactions (see link example), it looks like your bet was returned to you (minus the 0.0001 BTC TX fee).

have the exact same feeling; was very fond of betting 0.1 at the 1.5% to win 6.4 but at the moment the lowest odd you can bet is 9% with a max bet of 0.013.....

imho they are running it into the ground with the lower max bets and the inablity to launch the new site. Really liked betting here but moved my business to dicebitco.in

Not really, someone has been betting big on the 97% so actual winnings are quite low! The 'won today' lists only the payouts but doesn't subtract the bet amounts. Same goes for the leaderboard. In this case someone bets 50 btc on 97% and the won today lists it as 50.2211 when won but actually only 0.2211 was won.

I would like to become partners with Satoshi Dice, but I can' find where to register an affiliate account to get referral links.

If its possible, please ask your affiliate manager to contact me through skype or email

You're not the only one that would like to be an affiliate to this site... but it's impossible for them to know that the player was referred by you.

Also, please don't forget to make that global stats API available. It's very neat to have for people when writing about the games.

Yes, we already have it ready, just gonna take away the password when we release our next big thing!

With the closing of JustDice they could become the industry leader again if they can get tribute to work properly.

Did "tribute" have auto-bet? The automatic betting at Primdice is really fun if you use settings that your bankroll can afford.

There was a button for betting martingale in the Tribute game. Automatic betting will be available in the new version of the game too.

Now the big question is when will the new version of Tribute be ready. Cheesy

Not that far away. We might let some people in for some test rolls in a couple of days!

And it's down again  Embarrassed just like yesterday. Any idea when it will be processing bets again? Maybe put up a message on the site informing customers about this.

This was just a temporary server glitch that has now been permanently corrected. All bets are now processed. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Popularity could also be measured in how much mining fees people are prepared to pay for playing, and Satoshi Dice paid 5578.39727500 BTC on payouts, plus almost as much has been paid by placing bets. So with a strict definition it is still the most popular Bitcoin game Smiley

It seems very unfair to use SatoshiDice's spamming of the blockchain as a measure of popularity.

I wouldn't call it spamming because all transactions are standard transactions and bets are user initiated. More importantly, fees are being paid on the transactions. It was nothing more than a stress test of the Bitcoin system at worst. For Bitcoin to survive as a global transaction ledger system it has to be able to handle way more than the few million transaction over a period of 2 years that were from SatoshiDice.

Is this thread real? Wow, I can't believe satoshi dice was created in 2012!

The owner must be quite rich Smiley

It seems very unfair to use SatoshiDice's spamming of the blockchain as a measure of popularity.

Other dice sites don't spam the blockchain, preferring to work off-chain and paying for their own hosting rather than distributing the cost to everyone who runs a full Bitcoin node.

That doesn't make them less popular.

JD has had more bets and paid out much than SD, but because it hasn't spammed the blockchain you would claim it is "less popular"? That's pretty twisted logic.

Well obviously, JD has a volume of 0 BTC because it is no longer operating. Why are you still attacking competitors, even when you are no longer running just dice?

Stop pissing in other people's threads and just focus on running your own site. If you still ran noe.
