what does this payout of 0.0000775 mean? a loss or a win? does this mean it is a win and the pot is running out of cash?

http://blockchain.info/tx-index/39708736/67c62117b8a8c2a6a5d78c2bc9dbe749706a377477fb686e9437ed4b84c2856d

thanks!

EDIT: the bet was 0.1155 with a fee of 0.0005 (http://blockchain.info/tx-index/39708718/8429a00bbc6b2bd4788636a44f698d4b0bac8991e5cbf405d9d21ad751606ca2). if it is a loss then the payout should be 0.00000001 with a fee of 0.0005. if it is a win then the payout should be 0.23094444 with a fee of 0.0005.

You bet 0.1155 and lost.

Losing bets pay out 0.005 times the bet, minus a fee of 0.0005 (or 0.00000001, whichever is greater)

Code:
(0.1155 * 0.005) - 0.0005 = 0.0000775

All right thanks. IF you're that ahead, id stop.. I lost 150 BTC  playing S.73 and S.48

Trust me, after seeing the guy who lost 18 consecutive 250 BTC bets at or near the 50% odds, I am beginning to realize I lucky I have been.

Yeah I watch that happen, it was so unbelievable, so many 250BTC bets, all lost. I thought eric was testing his website or something with fake bets.

PS: post #1000 in this thread, woot!

EDIT2: I cannot reproduce the calculation as it is described on satoshidice.com. If I bet 0.01 to "lessthan 32000" (48.8281%) with a fee of 0.0005 (http://blockchain.info/tx-index/39712642/e160afb43d9a8991ebcdf8b0f94b45bfe26e07a1e6b8b680459de566272d2ccd) my return is 0.01953848 (http://blockchain.info/tx-index/39712654/dc58aada12bbc5e2197ed99d78c966c76b5a1c2e241a1b9013a4fcc7b5ab24a3)?? My math expected a return of 0.01965924 (0.01 x 2.004 x 0.981) (bet x price multiplier x expected return) as described on the website.

Let's see...

1-bincomcdf (18, 0.48, 0) = 99.999% chance that he would win at least once with satoshi 48. Daym

On a related note, how often do the "Big Wins" and "Leaderboard" tables get updated?

I never said that SatoshiDICE cheats!
No you didn't, so I was probably reading too much into the post.
I just reminded that any casino set rules in the way to make players lose and don't like if someone wins. Negative expected value is 100%
legitimate and may be OK for the people who are unaware of maths, but I would never play in these casinos, IMHO.

I also wouldn't gamble long term when the expected return is less than zero. There are some use cases however - if the cash you have is less than you need in order to buy your next meal, then the loss of that cash in gambling is not a negative outcome for the player (unless excessive gambling caused the player to be in such dire straits). In general however I agree with you.

So that brings us to you quoting "I hate you and hope you die" to back up your point. Since you're not implying that SD cheats, you must have missed the humour in the post.

Anyway, don't respond. I hate you and hope you die.

Are you saying SatoshiDice cheats? Can you prove it, or are you just spreading FUD because of your own personal beliefs? You should make your position a little clearer, and if you are implying that SatoshiDice is not playing by their own rules you'd best have some proof.
