It as actually the DNS servers of the registrar being DDoS'ed. Our servers were still but some people were unable to reach them. The problem is solved now.

It doesnt really matter at all, the outcome of your bet wont change even if you know the owner. Besides that , most owner of a gambling site hide under an alias so you wont be able to do anything at all even if somehing bad happened. I think the main reason for ddosing is money/hate, it might be the competitors or gamblers who lost bunch of money or group of folks who just want money to stop the ddos attack.
