No, anyone could place this order and put his email. Probably a hacker wannabe thought it was funny to put Satoshi's email when he was placing the order.

yes perfectly valid point

Hacker may have gotten into the email account, but I have a feeling he doesn't have Satoshi's real dox.

Because, here are the 2 teaser images hacker put out:

Do you really think Satoshi would place an order on a ecommerce website using his Bitcoin-related email address, and give out his real identity like that? Hell no he wouldn't. And this was in 2013. No way he would go through all the trouble of trying to be anonymous, then make a online order with his bitcoin email and his real billing/shipping info. I don't doubt the account got hacked, but the dox can't be real based on this.

No, anyone could place this order and put his email. Probably a hacker wannabe thought it was funny to put Satoshi's email when he was placing the order. Btw, the teaser leaves the first character "A" of the name visible.

I really wonder how they got in there

Someone could have just been brute forcing the email for the past 5 years. Although if it were that you think the provider would have noticed by now. I can only imagine how many failed attempts it would take for a decent password.

I guess we will just have to enjoy the popcorn and see if he reveals the attack vector.

The lost password reset question was a birthday. Probably would have been easy to crack.

Maybe in the pre-2008 times, but it seems odd that sat would be using this account at all after he went dark.

Edit: Also, Like God says below, anyone could have placed that order and used Satoshi's email address. How the hacker got access is the real question.

Why don't GMX lock the obviously stolen email account? They must know about this by now.

Gmx looks like a really really crappy email provider...

There probably not a large market for UI designers for that particular service industry Tongue

Im also calling it now. Super FUD WEEK is now engaged. Right after the PayPal/BrainTree news. Nice. Good timing. Load up your long calls!

The icon on SourceForge still remains a "butt".  Undecided

I hope this ends well.

If people said that Satoshi doesn't send messages with their real name on it, why this "hacker" can know their name and more details?

I can't trust that guy...

As well it's stupid to donate 25BTC to a guy that just want to make money! Huh
People is getting crazy.

That screenshot pretty much proves the account was hacked into, and not recycled.

Now, all that we need, is the real satoshi to come out like a boss.

Wow. If he took a screenshot of some emails from 2010 I would be convinced. Then again, Peter Todd said he got a forward from 2011
