Doesn't surprise me at all. Gmx is a dubious shithole.
No technically competent person would use it.

If the account indeed expire(or was closed for any reason) before being opened again for registration, his inbox would be empty.

there are many clues saying it was indeed compromised sadly..

New Bitcoin logo and tag

I think that now it's modified (or at least it's working fine for me)

That's what you can find: "A software-based online payment system"

- What seems to be offline is the "Brought to you by: s_nakamoto" link. Their profile --> http://sourceforge.net/u/userid-2321442/

From Peter Todd:

Interesting, got another forwarded email from "satoshi", from 2011 - indicates this was a hijacked account, not expired and re-registered.

Just leave 'em alone. If Satoshi wants to be anonymous, let 'em be anonymous. Just be grateful they invented Bitcoin Smiley

Satoshi is unhappy with the progress of the bitcointalk.org forum refurbishment with donated funds held by Michael?

Satoshi is concerned with the over-serious tone of BCT, and wanted to lighten things up.

Except what on the face of it could be taken as a serious criminal death threat will probably open up probable cause for a massive expansion in the search for Satoshi by LE ...

I'll short that.

What's confusing me is why people are freaking out about the bitcoin-security list being public right now.

I suppose we'll find out eventually, because if there is something interesting in there it will be brought to light by somebody.

The joke can even be understood, but opening the security list to the public is just criminal.

If I ever gain access to Satoshi's email account and have bad intentions, I am not posting public messages on boards for fun. What I am doing first is gain as much secondary access as possible using the email account, compromise those associated services, then post these public statements and watch for activity. This would be in hopes that he would somehow panic and skip a step, TOR, VPN, etc. disclosing his location or identity. If Satoshi functions as everyone expects him to though, this account would have no real ties to his access elsewhere and contain nothing by now.

A GMX account can have up to 10 registered and active email alias addresses. So, if it is the actual account then.  Shocked

I tried to register that email for the crack a few months ago, unsuccessfully when I thought it may have expired!

Would have thought it would be useful to do some password resets in the wrong hands.
