The player seed keeps getting replaced by a random string when the round begins. I think there's a bug that happens sometimes when clicking the check mark box is clicked and changes to the generate new box. Sometimes it just replaces my seed with a new random seed.
When this doesn't happen and my key persists in the form, a random seed is still revealed after the round instead of my own.
Actually I didn't realize it's not the player seed being re displayed, it's the previous hashed server seed. So just the first issue about the button on the player seed form is a problem.
You say that the Player Seed keeps getting replaced by a random string when the round begins, I haven't been able to reproduce this. When you sign into your account the Player Seed changes to the Player Seed you used when you were last signed it. Is it possible that you changed the player seed, and then signed in? (or maybe I misunderstood and you're saying that this part isn't an issue anymore)
As for the Check Box inside the Player Seed form,
I am noticing that when I click the Check Box to change the Player Seed the "old" Player Seed will flash for a second and then the "new" Player Seed will appear which, visually is bad/confusing, and I'll change (fixed). But it sounds like you're describing something different. Are you saying that clicking the Check Box button will sometimes produce a completely random seed? Almost as if you clicked the "circular double arrow" button that appears when you're not editing the Player Seed?
edit: I think I've figured out what may have caused what you were describing. I've updated the site. Let me know if there are still any problems.
The explanation is really good but many won't bother read
Thanks. You're right, most people won't look at it for more than a few seconds. I figure it's like most internet security. The 98% that don't read it look to the 2% that do read it to sound the alarm if something shady is going on. I may try to do a visual like I did for the previous "provably fair" setup. Just becomes more difficult since it's a more intricate setup.
I think it really needs some sort of visual for the player to understand the risk and reward offered for each option before deciding. The provably fair explanation is great but I don't think it's the best place for the odds of the game, it needs to be more visible. Probably deserves it's own button or just put it right on the 'table' like bonus odds for a casino table game. For the bonus round maybe have them drop down from above on that panel. Just my opinion.
Good idea, I can definitely make the odds more visible for the base game. As for the bonus round, I'm assuming that if players know that there are always 3-bombs, 6-1 coin, 2-2 coin and 1 3-coin square (as is shown on the bottom of the panel), and they are placed with equal probability in each position ( <= maybe this fact isn't as obvious as I would have hoped) , players would intuitively understand that the odds are 3 out of 12, 6 out of 12, 2 out of 12 and 1 out of 12 respectively. But if you think I should still add odds for the bonus let me know.
