Yeah, I remember that! Welcome back! I used to be among those testers, I believe, and I found it pretty nicely done! I logged in and I even have 40 something bits left since those times! I can see that now you're organizing a tournament, congrats! I won't participate, unfortunately, because it's late in my time zone for me.
Do you consider this game skill-based or luck-based? I was just thinking about the tournament and whether the winner will be random or not. I understand poker tournaments, but they are considered skill-based. And also, will there be a wagering requirement for winners before they can withdraw?

Thanks for the warm welcome.  The game by itself I consider luck based.  But in a tournament there are certainly strategic decisions that can be made.  There are no wagering requirements for winners before they withdraw.

Are the chances of bomb/no bomb posted anywhere for each difficulty?  In the FAQ you mention that for EASY it's 11%, 21%, 30%, and 38% - but I can't find the rest of difficulties.

Here you go:

MEDIUM: 19%, 34%, 47%
HARD: 26%, 45%, 59%, 70%
EXTREME: 45%, 71%, 84%

These are all rounded to a whole number, not the exact percentage.

Also, it seems like your provably fair system only proves that the placement of the bombs is decided before the player chooses a square, is that correct?

To prove it's actually fair, you would need to allow the player to choose a seed that is hashed with your secret to determine the result.  The output, for example, should prove that there was an 11% chance that a bomb would be placed on the first square on easy and so on.

You're right about this, its proven fair in that the bomb can't move, but I'll have to update it so I prove the probabilities as well.

Yeah its pretty unique and i cant find any similar games on this one.

About two months ago I created a post to have people critique the site, but players could only bet a few bits at a time, mainly just for testing.  Since then a few small changes have been added to freshen the site up, worked on some bugs and also added a chat feature.

I mean, is it possible to learn how to avoid them as you improve on your skills while playing or through other means? This will probably help determine if it's skill-based games or not.

To be more clear a player won't be able to learn how to avoid bombs other than knowing that bombs are more often placed on the right than the left.

it's nice to see a new type of game being created for gamblers to try and enjoy. I tried playing the demo play and I find enjoyable but I hope you can make a little adjustment and make it possible to switch from easy to hard without clicking the "TAKE xxxxmbtc" in order to change difficulties. also I had the impression that when I clicked the autoplay that it would continue playing and just copy what I clicked in the last game. anyway, all in all, it is a nice game.

I hadn't considered being able to change the difficulty of the game midway through, it's certainly something that's possible, I'll have to put that on the to-do list.

And what you said about autoplay makes sense.  I don't know if you looked at the tutorial or not, but I'll have to try to look at some ways to make the natural appearance more intuitive to indicate what the button actually does.

Sounds interesting. Are the bombs perpetually random? I mean, is it possible to learn how to avoid them as you improve on your skills while playing or through other means? This will probably help determine if it's skill-based games or not. Bookmarked

Bombs are perpetually random, but the probability that a square has a bomb isn't the same for every square, the FAQ discusses it a little more.

And those who have already made accounts, make sure you go to this thread below (in the Games and rounds sub) and leave your username ("Jr. Members" or higher on bitcointalk) to receive some free BTC and use it to try to win a tournament prize.

Nevertheless, it sounds good if there is a one-time faucet for the newcomers which is gamblers who visit will try their luck, just my opinion anyway.

A "faucet chatbot" is in the works for the future.

I dont know if its just me but why i cant go past in the middle section even though i do only set 3 safe and 1 bomb? Seems like they do move on where i do press or i am just unlucky?

I'd have to say just unlucky.  Check out the Provably Fair tutorial by going to "VERIFY GAME FAIRNESS", and then "HOW DOES THIS SHOW THE GAME IS FAIR?"  You can follow the tutorial that explains how we prove that the placement of the bomb is set before you make you decision and can't be changed after you make your decision.

just signed up and let's see what's going on here. quite a unique game indeed! checked the demo mode how it works and it's pretty simple and straightforward. it is like bomb game modified.
but i agree that you do need some type of marketing here to take off. also i couldnt navigate the FAQ section or maybe it is my computer. do you include the min deposit/withdrawal both in btc and ltc?

I'm not sure why the FAQ didn't work for you.  When you click the link at the bottom of the page, does anything pop up for you?

I'll paste the answer to your questions from the FAQ:

"Currently, here are no max or min deposit limits."

"Current minimum withdraw limits for BTC are 570 bits and for LTC 30 bits. These amounts will change as the respective network traffic changes."

Also make sure you sign up for the free tournament we're running on Sunday by leaving your SatoshiSquares username on the post in "Games and rounds" sub.

Hello, Welcome to the Forum and what you do is a great initiative, I have also read the tutorial and the thread, I find it interesting, I would like to know if they will implement the purchase of currency with a credit card.

Regards.

Thanks, glad you like it.  Unfortunately we won't be offering the use of credit card on the site any time soon.

If you can also add doge aside btc and ltc as your accepted currencies, that would be great. This seems to be an interesting one as it is different from the games introduced here.

Doge will be added in the near future.

i'm very impressed.  Honestly.   This has to be the most unique crypto gambling game that is also fun!   I should probably hate you because you're going to hold a lot of my coin soon. ;-)

may I suggest some sort of bonus plan?   depositmatch, happy hour, races, wagering contests, etc?    Would really make this even more attractive.
They should really allocate funds for marketing if they do really like for some exposure. The game is indeed unique and no other

but it would be better if they would make the design or UI even more attractive. Having that color blue background and in all sorts of icons to animations do really look thesame.

Much preferable and it would be good if they would start up with DOGE.

Hey DoublerHunter thanks.  I probably will add something to make it more clear, but the chat isn't only for customer service, it's also a community chat, you're just the only one who's chatted so far, and I'm the only one who replied, so right now it feels more like customer service chat Smiley

If I understand your other question, 1 bit = 100 satoshi.  If I misunderstood the question, let me know.
^ Thank you for the quick response.
Definitely right, I am the only one who chatted there. Probably on June 21st, it will increase the number of users because of the free 100 bits will be given for the tournament, and I am also excited to join that event. This kind of promotion will lure gamblers to visit the site and test it how good it is, especially in verifying a provably fair system. Nevertheless, it sounds good if there is a one-time faucet for the newcomers which is gamblers who visit will try their luck, just my opinion anyway.

^ Hello, first, welcome to the biggest crypto gambling community.
It seems good and I was registered there recently. I curious about bits, I heard this on bustadice website but I did not know how much real the value is per 1 bit into satoshi. Nevertheless, I saw customer service chat there but hope about the all players chatbox? For me, that is good place to hang out and make a noise while you are taking a break from the game you played.
