Al-Ittihad announced their new coach after Nuno Espirito Santo to be Marcelo Gallardo (El Muneco) who was engaged for a year and a half with the team.
El Muneco was training River Plate before and hopefully he will be as successful with his new club. Nuno was sacked since Al-Ittihad results weren't good lately and because of disputes between him and his players namely Benzema.
His first match with the team will be away vs Al-Ettifaq which is quite good team. A hard test to start with Wink

It has been a long time since Marcelo Gallardo was the head coach of River Plate, but during that period Marcelo Gallardo only managed to give River Plate one Argentine Professional League title. With achievements like that, I personally not completely sure that Marcelo Gallardo will quickly give his best result for Al Ittihad. Moreover, currently Al Ittihad is in fifth position with 24 points, 11 points different from Al Hilal who are currently at the top of the standings. Thus, playing away against Al Ettifaq in the next match, I think it will not be an easy job for Marcelo Gallardo in his first match for Al Ittihad later.

I think they are trying to transition to a league that has quality as well. Especially because they have already got the popularity they needed. Now they need more young and quality players. Players that are going to be able to improve the quality of football in the league and also attract other young players. We saw Ronaldo come here and he did attract a lot of senior players. Now is the time for them to bring in young players.

And I don't think it is going to be a problem for them because they have the money and a club is not going to pass on a crazy deal.
What the Saudi Pro League is doing might not be the best long-term plan, I'm beginning to think. Bringing in famous players like Ronaldo and Neymar makes news and increases popularity, but what about long-term success? It's possible that relying only on star power, especially from experienced players, might not be enough to improve the team's general quality

We should think about the future, right? Your league's ability to grow and get better depends on its young, skilled players. One problem is that it's hard to get these young players to choose the SPL over well-known European teams. It's to advance their careers, win titles, and get noticed in the major levels. For the SPL to be successful in drawing this important group, they'll need to come up with something equally appealing

On the one hand, I also think the same as you, but there no harm in being optimistic that sooner or later the SPL will gradually become competitive. Saudi efforts to build a football league in their country are quite bold, but I think they have passed the stage of careful calculation, so the steps taken, such as recruiting former European stars, are part of the plan.

We know that FIFA has just appointed Saudi as the host of the 2034 edition of the World Cup, for me this is proof that Saudi football development steps are long-term. Under the auspices of PIF, I think they will succeed in their way this time even though we have to wait a long time to see the peak of their success.

It is not impossible that in the future PIF will acquire several clubs in the European Leagues, as has been done with Newcastle. Previously there were rumors that the Marseille club from Ligue 1 was also planned to be acquired, but so far there has been no official news. I think this kind of step will make it easier for them to collaborate, both in transferring players and so on.

Al Hilal and Al Nassr are going to play against each other in this season on the 1st of December but still, this can't be a reason to say Al Hilal will lose points against Al Nassr.
A team like Al Nasrr has players like Mane and Ronaldo in their teams but the thing about Al Nassr is they don't have as good teamwork as they have in Al Hilal and that's why I think Al Hilal got a better chance of beating Al Nassr even in the game they face each other in a few weeks.

Al hilal is ready to destroy al nassr. Al nassr can only rely upon ronaldo as its main attacking. Other player like mane has fewer contribution to the club. This is also the main reason why al hilal will be winning the league.
Al nassr will not able to beat al hilal this season. Al nassr was quite strong but it's not strong enough to compete with al hilal. Hilal is having better chemistry compared with al nassr. Mitrovic will be showing all of his skill in front of ronaldo.
Savic is also ready to keep the defensive line of al hilal. Al hilal will be playing without neymar and that's not even a probelm.

Al hilal has been consistently beating many big clubs and al nassr will be the next team to be humiliated by al hilal soon. SPL shall prepare the trophy for al hilal.
I won't say that there is a difference between these two clubs and who will be their mainstay players. In terms of defense, Al Hilal is far superior and the attackers are quite good and I like Al Hilal's defense which is really consistent and the cooperation between the players is really solid and proven to be true. Today, Al Hilal has never been defeated, even though they play away from home, this club can choose to draw rather than lose and for Al Nassr they have very great striker players but in terms of defense they are not as strong as Al Hilal so Al Hilal's chances of winning are a little bigger. compared to Al Nassr but there is a possibility that it will end in a draw because both clubs both want to get first place in the points table.

We're about to experience another raid from the transfer market by the Saudi Pro League, they succeed in luring several top European players to the league and since it helped in improving the level of the league’s popularity it means they maid still want more European players come into the league, a lot of European players that a earning little from their club would be tempted to move over to the Saudi side cause of the financial benefits it comes with.

Well as for Jodan Sancho he's a young player with lots of talent, I believe he still got more left in him to showcase in the European Football, therefore it would be a wrong call to switch to the Saudi side this early cause of the financial benefits, well I hope he makes the right decision, as for Mo' Salah, Liverpool succeeded in keeping him in the club this season but I doubt if they'll be able to keep him much longer, cause the Saudi side would come up with a more tempting offer and Liverpool would have no choice but to let their star man leave.
Saudi Pro League clubs are not relenting, they're keen on signing the important players from Europe this coming transfer window, that's their primary target currently. All thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo who created such remarkable path for these Saudi Clubs. Last summer was just a little taste of them, next transfer window, there's definitely going to be massive signings of players with hugh sums which can not be easily resistable by the player in question. Saudi Arabia knows specifically what these players wants and they're keen on giving it to them with ease efforts.

Finally ! Ittihad found a more experienced coach, Marcelo Gallardo is actually also rumored to be on radar AC Milan recently. But, it seems that Ittihad has succeeded in seduce that South America best coach, and of course we hope that Ittihad can return to their best performance under this man leadership.
Yes, a hard test for Marcelo Gallardo against Ettifaq, squad Steven Gerrard. Although Ettifaq not a top team like Al Hilal or Al Nassr, but Ettifaq is also not a weak team in this league. And that will make it difficult for Marcelo Gallardo to get full points, in other side also the players may not be able to quickly have chemistry with him.

Al Hilal is indeed a tough team and indeed their teamwork is very good, and Mitrovic's game is very good and always a concern. So there is indeed a big chance for Al Hilal to win the match.

but on the other hand I also saw the greatness of Cristiano Ronaldo and I saw when playing in the Euro 2024 qualifiers I saw Cristiano Ronaldo's performance which was so great and his teamwork was also very good and Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal with a score of 0-2 in the win by Portugal and it was a match against liechtenstein.

So I think Al Nassr also has the potential to win because Cristiano Ronaldo and his friends will work together well and win.

It doesn't feel like Al-Ittihad has found a new coach to replace Nuno and I hope Marcelo Gallardo can give his best results with Al-Ittihad for the remainder of this season. We all know that Al-Ittihad has experienced a decline in performance for some time and this was the responsibility of the previous coach. Rumors of Nuno's unhealthy relationship with Benzema have even spread widely and I think this is the beginning of the downfall for Al-Ittihad as the defending champions are experiencing problems in the dressing room. Now the players must be enthusiastic again because they have a new coach who has sufficient experience and we hope that Al-Ittihad can return to consistency and continue to be able to compete with other teams in winning the Saudi league title again this season.

Ittihad needs to prepare almost 200 millions to get salah from liverpool. Salah's contract is still quite long, but it seems like that ittihad will not be able to get him if the club will try to give small offer like 120 millions.
FSG will let him go out as long as ittihad will able to pay more than 150 millions. Salah has received an offer at the deadline of summer transfer season but the time was not enough.
Ittihad were ready to pay that money to take Mo Salah from Liverpool in the last week of summer transfer season. They even had a group of staffs went to Liverpool to discuss details and finalize the transfer but Liverpool were not ready to let him go as they no longer had enough time to find an alternative for Mo Salah.

So I think money is not big issue with Al Ittihad and they will come back in the winter or next summer transfer. Liverpool probably will not let Salah go in the winter transfer because they still fight for Premier League title against Manchester City. Letting Salah go will affect their power too much and they are smart enough to not take this risk in the winter transfer season.

Quote
I hope that salah will change his mind after this. Given the circumstances, it is quite likely that people are now becoming increasingly concerned about how Saudi Pro League clubs will go about recruiting top-tier players from European competitions.
Rumor is Salah wants to join Saudi Professional League with very good salary for him. Staying in Europe two or three more seasons likely won't help him to win Champions League or Ballon d'Or but moving to Saudi Professional League will help him earning very massive money just within a few years.

If Al Ittihad manages to get Moh Salah, then they are a lucky team, so far Moh Salah's performance has been very good at Liverpool, it's very rare to see a striker with such great abilities so Liverpool definitely won't easily let Moh Salah go to another team.

The SPL league is really attracting a lot of attention at the moment, they have managed to get a lot of great players and I'm sure that in the end all the old star players will spend their retirement in the SPL.
It's caused by unlimited money owned by the clubs in this league. SPL has been planned to recruit as many big players as possible to push the popularity from the league. Saudi has a vision to be one of popular league in the world.
That's why it will always be buying the players with high price. It's a part of investment.

This will certainly be a big match that is quite eagerly awaited and from both teams, the same thing is that they are a team that is quite productive in scoring goals but Al Hilal is much better at maintaining their defense so that currently they are the team with the fewest goals conceded and are also the only one team that has not been defeated, in this match Al Hilal will get a slight advantage as the home team.
Before this big match, this week the big match that will attract attention is Al Ettifaq vs Ittihad FC, even though Ittihad FC is the favorite, the opponent's situation is quite different from last season, and how Ittihad FC appears less consistent will open up opportunities for Al Ettifaq as the home team to took points, and both teams have the same motivation to end the instability in their performance, especially since Ittihad FC will almost certainly fail to defend the title because they are already quite far behind Al Hilal and will try to get up to at least get a better ranking.

I have just read this news too that Al Ittihad management was feel dissapoint to Nuno Espirito Santo because he was unable to bringing Al Ittihad to performing well and under Nuno Espirito Santo Al Ittihad at Saudi Pro League only able to occupy 5th place and gets 3 loses so they had decided to sacked him and hire Marcelo Gallardo as new manager and previously Marcelo Gallardo was train River Plate for 8 years and total under Gallardo River Plate can gets 14 trophies including 2 Copa Libertadores trophy so if we see from Gallardo achievement i think he is experience manager with plenty of trophies so probably his is the right manager to Al Ittihad however Gallardo will be at Al Ittihad until 2025 and he has 1 year contract extension option

We are likely to see a fierce battle between Al Hilal and Al Nassr in the championship race. Al Hilal are currently undefeated while Al Nassr are undefeated after losing in the first 2 weeks. With Ronaldo, Talisca and Mane leading the goalscoring charge, the team will have a season in which they have no problem scoring goals. It should be underlined that this trio has a total of 49 goals.
The situation is different at Al Hilal, the other title contender. Of course, Mitrovic, the team's main striker, contributes the most, but the other players contribute almost equally. This is at least healthier because it means that when one player is injured, the other players can carry the goal load. Mitrovic is the team's top scorer with 17 goals, followed by Al Dawsari with 9, Malcom with 8 and Milinkovic with 6.

I remember when Neymar said that it all started with Ronaldo and that meant Ronaldo was the one who provided motivation for senior players or other young players to believe that the SPl could become a big league in the world and it was all proven after Ronaldo arrival that many other senior players came to the SPL like Benzema and Neymar and for me this is the goal of the SPL to get big traffic on the SPL to get big popularity and will continue to bring in talented players or star players from europe to be able to take the SPL to a higher level as is rumored to be able to join UCL.

but one thing you have to remember is that bringing in young players is not a young thing because maybe you know that a talented young player from a european team will refuse an offer from the SPL on the grounds that the young player needs a title and a career with a big team that has experience in getting prestigious titles in europe.
so before the SPL can enter the UCL list, it will be very difficult to bring in young players from europe unless they have academics like european teams to create young players with new talents.

Yeah there's no need to put too much hope in young players coming into this league they have a dream to make history and the Saudi Pro League is not the right league for that we have to realize that, moreover currently the Saudi Pro League is almost entering its first period of mega star transfers meaning they will carry out a business evaluation if within 2 seasons the results do not match expectations then this transfer effort will be reduced or stopped, what is clear is that their main target is to reach 2030 as a promotional effort to host the World Cup, after that everything will be considered.

So far, the Saudi Pro League has been successful in promotion and has attracted world attention but from the business side we don't know, we have not found any information regarding the report but maybe at the end of the season we can see it. Personally, I think this is far from making a profit they still need to spend millions of dollars on next season well, usually in season 2 there will be changes.

But I think that Haaland is on the best way to take Ronaldo's position. Ronaldo is about striking and deciding games, that is also what Haaland is about.
Messi is about making the game look like art while at the same time set unbreakable records as an individual player, too.
But given the numbers that Haaland is producing as a scorer, I think he will definitely be able to overtake Ronaldo in all competitions, but he will never be able to make the game look as beautiful and driven by high precision as Messi.
Leo Messi is a creative playmaker that performs what he will do for his team to win a game. While Ronaldo is the goal machine in his team, he's popularly known as the king of comebacks, that area he's a demigod. Wait a minute, you're doing comparison between Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo? It's funny because Ronaldo will remained the best player in all major ompetitions in years to come. Don't get me wrong, Haaland is a top striker and will definitely achieved awards and lift trophies under Pep Guardiola and for Manchester City, were he's regarded as the very best player.

I said "be able to overtake", which implies that he has the ability to overtake Ronaldo, but whether he does it or not depends on many things, some of which he can control and some of which he can't control. But Haaland's numbers in the league, in the Champions League and in the national team are all better than that of Ronaldo at the same age. I don't know what your opinion is about Haaland, but when I see this table (sorted by ratio), I think it is not irrational to say that Haaland has the ability to crush Ronaldo's records, almost all of them by the way.

Haaland has crushed almost any record you can come up with based on age. Number of hattricks, number of goals per game, number of anything. And yet it is true that he is only 23 yet and he has to go a long way to compete with Ronaldo's records and as I said before, health would be something he can only influence to a degree and I hope his physical condition remains intact and he gets the chance to perform on the highest level for at least a decade from now.

It will be interesting to observe how the Saudi Professional League develops over time in the next years. Maybe it will be so fast that we see Haaland play in the SPL in 5 years. Smiley

I think they are trying to transition to a league that has quality as well. Especially because they have already got the popularity they needed. Now they need more young and quality players. Players that are going to be able to improve the quality of football in the league and also attract other young players. We saw Ronaldo come here and he did attract a lot of senior players. In my opinion, the Saudi Pro League doesn't really need young players but rather needs more experienced players who have high popularity in the European league such as Ronaldo and Neymar. It is not easy for Saudi Arabian clubs to recruit young players from the European league because even young players need to think long and hard living in Saudi Arabia, especially young players still have a long future and want to develop their careers in the European leagues, in contrast to experienced players like Ronaldo and Neymar, they spent their youth playing in the European leagues so they have enough experience to join Arab clubs Saudi, fans are slowly starting to know what Saudi Arabian clubs are like so that the SPL will be increasingly interested in the global audience.
